I love them all, and when you said I could do with a cardigan like that, you took the words out of my mouth 😂 I'm thinking these would be lovely to gift to a childrens ward. Thank you for sharing this with us as I doubt I would have come across it.
What a lovely idea for a project. I look forward to seeing how these come up. My aunt used to knit toys back in the 1970s but I've never tried it myself.
Thanks Tina i have just bought this book today for a friend she will love knitting them. When I saw you with the book yesterday I knew it was a perfect gift for my friend.
Hi Tina, it definitely is a gorgeous book and cute animals with all their clothing, I did find it a bit confusing with the instructions though as the animal I was trying to knit has short rows, I'd never done that before and also ever only tried colour work I'm afraid I'm not anything like you your knitting is always beautiful, I'm trying some crochet now for a change, and learning something new my knitting was only basic anyway I can't do what I used to anymore and follow complicated patterns, good luck with the fox and will look forward to seeing it, thanks Sarah 🥰❣️🧚
Thanks Tina. That was fun. They are sooooooooo cute. It's difficult to choose a favorite but I do like the bunny and the ram. Can't wait to see your progress.
This is a wonderful book. I have already done 4 animals in this book. I think the hedgehog so far is my favorite. I made the mouse, the horse and the dog. I have now picked the book up again and am making the fox.
Those animals look amazing! Not the type of knitting I would do, but how lovely if you have children, very clever. Have fun doing that Tina, that should keep you out of mischief xx
So cute! I love the French duck and the mouse especially. I have a similar book of animals with clothes in crochet: I might join you but I am knee deep in Christmas making at the moment so will have to see. Looking forward to seeing your sweet fox!
I'm sure you don't need any more projects on the go , although you do speed through things . I've managed to catch covid again which wasn't part of the plan . I hope you and your family are well x
Hi Tina I have had my book for quite a while now and you have made me want to get started on one and like you my first will be the Fox followed by the Owl as they are two of my favourite animals/birds anyway. Looking forward to watching them come to life and I am sure Mrs Fox will be a pretty one. See you again soon. Take care Amanda from Lincolnshire. xxx🦊🦉
I'm working on George the Dog right now! Need to get it finished as a gift for my niece's baby due this month. Got all the knitting done pretty quickly, but putting it together is getting to be quite a slog. Good luck on your fox. Can't wait to see her.
I bought this book yesterday at a Christmas market stall after seeing it here. I’ve never knitted toys. but I’m a reasonable knitter. What worries me is the making up, I really struggle to sew things up neatly. Could really use some tips if I’m going to tackle Dorothy the Mouse.
I knit the squirrel. Only not the shoes and the slip over. But I found it more difficult that a lot is knitting flat and than seaming . But he turned out so cute.
I'm trying hard to put as much work as possible into my existing WIPs to be ready for 1st December. I have a feeling some are going to be cast aside. I've not tried knitting any of the clothes yet. They look so unbelievably cute. The recommended yarn is beautiful to work with, very soft. I would recommend using it if you are able. X
Just thinking about your Charlotte Tina 🌞 Charlotte The Fox is most interesting The Woodland creatures are very well done I have never made any animal creatures at all!
Oh I cannot wait to see your new friends when you have them ready to make their debut!! I wonder if you should make a matching Christmas jumper with a reindeer on it for Ms. Fox to wear? :)
I have this book, and I'll be glad to see how you get on. I found it weirdly written. I am getting on a bit have followed patterns (nothing too exciting)!! But I found it irritating to knit row by row??That probably doesn't make sense. I will watch and see your progress.
I have finished all the fox knitting and now I'm mustering up the courage to start sewing her up . The face was the hardest to knit. The limbs and body were easy . Go on, give it a try 😁
I made 3 of these a couple of years ago, the fox, the dog and the hare and my grandchildren love them. I’m now making another 3 out of the knitted wild animal friends book. I’m sure you will love making the animals and all the outfits and accessories to go with them.
I'm really happy you are enjoying the book. If you search M1A knitting on UA-cam there are tutorials that will help. It's basically making a loop to use as a stitch . I sounds more complicated than it is in the book 😁 Happy knitting
Yes I used 2 fingering/4ply yarns held together for the Fox and DK /8ply for her clothes . I have older videos sharing my progress knitting the Fox . Good luck with your animal they are fun to knit
Thankyou Louise,I've just bought the book and started on the Hare, the clothes are so beautifully done. Time to invest in some tiny buttons😁. I started this yesterday and have had a lot of problems with the Decreasing and increasing on the paws. If you follow it to the letter which I did,you end up with too few stitches. I showed it to one of my friends who is a very experienced knitter and she has altered it for me. I hope the clothes don't have mistakes.
I'm sorry I've not knit the coat and I'm in France now so I haven't got access to the book . If you still need help in May send me another message and I will look at the book and try to help you 🙃
Knit 1 stitch, make 1 ( knit 1 stitch twice to create a stitch ) knit in the front loop knit , keep stitch on needle , needle through back loop knit , take stitch off . There are tutorials on UA-cam with other methods. Search m1 knitting tutorial , I like Very pink knits tutorials. Good luck

What a lovely idea for a project. I look forward to seeing how these come up. My aunt used to knit toys back in the 1970s but I've never tried it myself.
Yes it's a new thing for me too . How hard can it be 😲😁. Thanks for watching x
Thanks Tina i have just bought this book today for a friend she will love knitting them. When I saw you with the book yesterday I knew it was a perfect gift for my friend.
I'm sure she will love it . It seams very popular 😁
They are so cute! I think a row of them will look great! Take care.
Yes , I would love a row of them . Who knows if the first one is a success 😁

Believe me I still have lots to learn and get lost sometimes. At least we have UA-cam and Google now to help us out 😁
Thanks Tina. That was fun. They are sooooooooo cute. It's difficult to choose a favorite but I do like the bunny and the ram. Can't wait to see your progress.
Thank you it should be entertaining 😁

That looks so fun. Enjoy and keep us posted. Stay safe.
Thank you so much for watching 😁
All of those are so adorable!! Not sure I could accomplish all that intricate knitting with my skill level though!
I'm hoping I can , we shall see 😁
Those animals look amazing! Not the type of knitting I would do, but how lovely if you have children, very clever. Have fun doing that Tina, that should keep you out of mischief xx
I needed keeping out of mischief last week, I've managed to catch covid again 😖 Just cold symptoms, I'm on the mend. I hope you are well 🙂
I bought that book from The Works a while ago. I want to knit everything but as yet just sit and look. Maybe next year
It is a lovely book to flick through and think of the possibilities. You will know when the time is right 😁
So cute! I love the French duck and the mouse especially. I have a similar book of animals with clothes in crochet: I might join you but I am knee deep in Christmas making at the moment so will have to see. Looking forward to seeing your sweet fox!

Hopefully I will do them proud 😁
I'm working on George the Dog right now! Need to get it finished as a gift for my niece's baby due this month. Got all the knitting done pretty quickly, but putting it together is getting to be quite a slog. Good luck on your fox. Can't wait to see her.
Your niece is going to love George. Yes there are a lot of little pieces to sew together , you can do this , keep going 😁
I'm making Tilly now. I've just finished the monkey from her wild animals book. Beautiful books!
Have fun
I bought this book yesterday at a Christmas market stall after seeing it here. I’ve never knitted toys. but I’m a reasonable knitter. What worries me is the making up, I really struggle to sew things up neatly. Could really use some tips if I’m going to tackle Dorothy the Mouse.
I have mixed results so I will be sharing my success and failures 😖😁 Good luck with Dorothy 🐭💓
So sorry you are sick, sending prayers and blessings
Thank you so much, I'm fine and soon be back to full power 😁

I quite fancied something with alpaca in it so it had a bit of fluffiness. I need to do so some research to see if it's suitable 😁
Just thinking about your Charlotte Tina 🌞 Charlotte The Fox is most interesting The Woodland creatures are very well done I have never made any animal creatures at all!
Foxy has has been different and interesting for me to knit 😁

Hi, please could you advise on whether the patterns are flat knitting? Many thanks
Yes they are and then sewn up
Love the book I have made George the Dog, and Amelia the Duck.
Great now I know where to come for help 😁
Having real trouble with Maisie the pig cardigan row 12. Can anyone help please? Thank you

Hi, do you know if you can use 8ply wool instead of 5ply cotton for these animals?
Yes I used 2 fingering/4ply yarns held together for the Fox and DK /8ply for her clothes . I have older videos sharing my progress knitting the Fox . Good luck with your animal they are fun to knit
Thank you for that, did you use larger needles? Love your videos, have helped really helped - the green jacked proved quite tricky@@Simplyinstitches
@@JHB-fv9me I used the recommended needle size but we may have different tension so check yours to be sure 😉
This book has incorrect patterns, details i have spent a number of hours amending the pattern.
