- This is a slow breakdown of the Jab-Cross Counter Series from Guro Ron Balicki's Filipino Boxing DVD Series. This set combines some of the most fundamental movements of Panantukan and organizes them in a practical manner for the practitioner. It is something I practice religiously! Please check out Ron Balicki's Filipino Boxing Series on DVD, it will the perfect addition to your martial arts collection.

Great stuff, mate.
I'm glad you recognized it! Hope to expand on this more in the future, thanks!

You're very welcome.

+Rene Schindt This series has given me the basics I've needed to succeed in Panantukan!
+Sakan Lam which Panantukan series do you recommend besides Balicki ?
+Rene Schindt Of course, Guro Daniel Sullivan's Dirty Boxing Mastery Course. Also anything from Guro Kent Nelson is awesome too...
+Sakan Lam oh yes i took a glimpse on Daniel Sullivan. Guro Kent Nelson has nice Vids here, yes. Ever watched Stuff form Guro Marc Halleck ?
Never heard of him, will have to check him out!
Another great video my friend, excellent work again.
+Darren Langston Just sharing material that's been passed down by truly great instructors. Thanks Sifu Darren, hope to see you in Chiang Mai or the UK some day!
+Sakan Lam Be sure to pass the knowledge on sifu 😊😊Would be great to get to train together at some point👍👍
Thank you sir, we are always here for you!
Sakan is a very decent young chap who is also highly skilled from Thailand where he operate a superb martial arts academy
Thank you for the kind words and support, Stan!
very nice display of bicep destruction guten and sliding as always shine on
+John Price Thanks brother! This was simply a video I made as a database for others to rely on... Guess it is a good idea to share with everyone now! Good luck in training.
This is great as usual! But wish i had a sparring partner or a dummy to practice. I enjoy your stuff.
Anything I should watch to improve better? Like some one I could look up? Or other training stuff I can do by my self since I don't have a sparing partner
+Aizeula Ivari You can check out my Solo Impact Drills to help you develop some basic motions. Also you should be shadowboxing every day. Once you can get a training partner then you will be ready to apply the techs naturally. Check out Guro T. Kent Nelson of KSK. He has a great library of free material on his YT Channel. Thanks for watching!
nice! what style is this? i studied balintawak eskrima for a bit but didn't get to the unarmed techniques because i had to discontinue to focus on my school program.
This style of Panantukan comes from the Lacoste lineage by way of Guro Dan Inosanto and Guro Ron Balicki. You can check out Guro Ron's Filipino Boxing DVD Series... it is the best source to learn Panantukan from if you don't have a teacher. Thanks for commenting!
nice entries
Much appreciated, brother!
I have always wondered.... How do you apply this techniques if you do not know that the oponent is going to atack you with a jab-cross? You know, like in a real fight.
The purpose of these drills is to apply the gunting, which is a tool to bridge the gap and allow you to crash in with an elbow strike or eye jab. Whether the opponent throws directly or wide, the entry should still be able to deflect and help you establish a pathway to either the outside or center line. Doesn't always work during the chaos of a fight, so you need to be prepared to punch and kick your way out.
Ho già visto queste tecniche... Chi a copiato chi... Bohhh
Read the video description.

Your partner fails to attack from a proper distance, as a consequence your defense fails too. You're reaching for his jab: if he knows how to box you'll eat a hook and all the fancy techniques you practiced will go out the window. Panantukan is boxing first and foremost: if there isn't a good boxing foundation the gunting, eye jabs, hacks etcetera are pretty much useless.
Linus Verclyte Sure man. It's just practice, and I've gotten better since then.
