The only bad performance we’ve had this season was Wednesday away, Rooney’s not doing a bad job at all. Our next few games are brutal, just have to get behind the whole team. GREEN ARMY
Gratefully received, but no apology required Ben. I think every proud Janner expected us to lose this one! Appart from the opening day we have really been moving in the right direction of late and things have been improving week on week. COYG!
Dude, you don't need to apologise, a totally rational prediction for PAFC this season. This is coming from a Plymouth fan, still can't get my head around going with Rooney. But by all accounts the players love him.... his tactical style is rather open though, which imo is naive in the Championship with a bottom 6 squad (on paper)
I think even we Argyle fans had us down for a loss so it’s no big deal. After Saturday it seems the players are starting to fit themselves in nicely. As for Roony the guy is doing the business, he’s out meeting Janners and he’s becoming well liked around the City so he’s staying for quite some time yet, no matter the results (never mind Schue)!
really appreciate seeing public opinion just starting to turn for Wayne a little. His appointment was almost viewed as an embarrassment by the football world, but our chairman simon hallett gave a really good reassuring interview that his appointment was the right way forward. Wayne has taken on a job frankly a lot on managers like rosenior, heckingbottom and others turned their nose up at, but he wants to prove to the football world that he can do it. You can see Wayne has also been battling with something post football career, but when i see pictures of him recently he has a smile on his face, a new found purpose perhaps.
Kudos to you for the apology. What a shame that all the doubters ´dissing´ Ipswich last season didn´t do the same when we were consistently in the top 2 or 3 last season. COYB. Looking forward to our game against S´ton. I feel we can get something from the game.
There is no need for an apology. We will now go on with confidence and take more points in the Championship under Rooney. We are playing really good football. Green Army
@@brianwatson1401Nothing lucky about it. We've been playing well and a result was going to come. It wasn't even a smash and grab type performance, it was a balanced game overall. The only thing that's lucky here is you've still got hair with that hairline
@@brianwatson1401 I agree, Sunderland's penalty was a soft one. In fact, by the letter of the law it wasn't a penalty since the exact same thing happened at a Premier League game at the weekend between Fulham and West Ham and a penalty wasn't given even with VAR review. You don't get a penalty for lightly tapping a player on the back, but Sunderland successfully conned their way to one. Not that they didnt deserve to be 1-0 up at that point, they dominated that opening. But then again, they could only get ahead by cheating so. Talking about our goals though, the own goal cant be described as lucky, more incompetence on your defence. The same player who scored your own goal conceded the penalty, which was definitely a penalty and not soft at all because he 2 foots Hardie. And the last goal your keeper has to do better with that. Nothing about a lucky rebound. Szucs shoots miles out, keeper had all day to choose where to put it. So again, incompetence on your defence.
Rooneys not our manager. Hes our head coach. Big difference. He works under a DOF. Who was instrumental at the end of last season in keeping us up. Neil dewsnip. Not saying rooney doesnt deserve credit but its more a team effort. Both on and off the pitch thats going to give argyle the best chance of staying up. Just like it was with the success under schumacher.
And we played the better football ⚽️...well done wazza and his staff 💯chairman most of all the green barmy! We just have to keep the momentum going a lot of new players came in some very exciting players...just think we need a little more experience in middle of the field
Hoped for a draw at best. May only be 1 match but proves capability and massive confidence boost. Bigger test to come after the intnl break when we play more of the expected bottom half teams.
Argyle always incubates good managers, rooney is going to be a success, remember 9 men had a result against 11 the other week. We need a couple of good wins and if the confidence kicks in who knows ? This could upset the bookies
we don't have the most talented squad in the championship. i think a lot of would have taken a draw as a good result.but we are a team that's never give up.this could be the turning point of our season.joe Edwards is the not just a leader on the pitch but off it as well.
Has anyone mentioned that Schumacher is still unemployed? Hahahahahahaha. Perhaps he should train as a PE teacher? It's steady work for a middle aged man of modest ability.
1 wayne Rooney has never been a quiter! 2 never a penalty 3 we played bloody well so we have to give are manager a real good chance along with chairman and certainly the players because and one thing plymouth fans do is stand behind are club 💯
Always wonder what affect the long trip has on away teams going to Plymouth, and Sunderland had about as long a trip as u can get. Feel for the fans with a late late winner !
By the same token you could argue that Argyle face the same problems every fortnight, Bristol closest match at 125 miles.Clubs like Sunderland would almost certainly have an overnight stay or maybe even fly to Exeter on the day so it shouldn't really be an issue.
Sunderland were the better team first half👍Oozing confidence after five straight wins. Second half we got in their face, we upped our pace and we’re far more aggressive 💚👍 🤔Sunderland, 75% of their goals conceded this season have been against Argyle😂
Shef Wednesday excluded which was a shit show. Argyle arnt playing bad football, i get the style he wants to play and i like it, just gotta work on the passing, were giving the ball away so much, but were working on it! i see us finishing 14th-16th
As a Sunderland fan, I'd rather give 3 pnts to Wayne Rooney, than anyone else. Former England pro & legend of the game. He can't have the next 3 though.
BB and Big Sam. Please remember that Plymouth Argyle 's ambition this season is to stay in the championship. We would love promotion to the prem but we'll leave.that to the teams who'll sack managers to get there.
Table topping Sunderlands defeat by bottom club Argyle is a classic example of a team rolling into town believing their own publicity, it happens time and time again, and is how teams like Brentford can go to Man city and come away with a win... A more than useless Sheffield Wednesday knocked 4 past Argyle in the opening game of the season and haven't been able to buy a win since then
You don't have to apologize to fat boy he will win 0.25% of his games that's been his record all along no matter who he is manager of its the low of averages.
You were underwhelmed by Rooney's work at Birmingham? Try being a Blues fan. I might forgive him if he retracted his comment about Blues fans never accepting him as if that was the reason he was so awful.
