While I understand Brent threw for content, I can't imagine the temptation to use a Rare Item (one that he's said he's almost never seen in all his years of Mario Party) was absolutely *gnawing* at him regardless of placments. That *had* to be an underlying factor, there's no way it wasn't.
It reminds me of when TRG would get a rare item in their MP3 playthroughs, I specifically remember on Creepy Cavern Emile and Jon had a pretty funny interaction involving the Barter Box and Plunder Chest
Rare footage of Eevee getting a Turn 1 Hidden Block. Also, damn, I was not expecting Eevee to be so civilized this game. Watching Vern’s stream, he spared Vern even after the Warp Block hit Brent.
The thing is Vern's play didn't hurt Eevee at all, if anything, it gave Eevee a better chance. The only reason Eevee was so hostile was probably because he wanted Nick buried six feet under for stealing his rare item.

I'm slowly starting to think Nick can be a perfect bussiness man, in how he managed to everything go like he wanted to go, protecting the most of his stars, not with threats (*cough* Vernias), but with conversation, making Nick perfect to convince even a homeless man for an invest, surprising honestly, now I understand why the conversations are sometimes with phoenix attoney's characters representing each other, it all went crazy when vernias had to decide just use a random teleporter that had 33.3% of success
It was the most logical play for Vernias at that moment too, because yeah sure nick was ahead but the double star steal for brent was too strong for Vern to just hand to him. Also even without the bonuses, brent would have not 1, but 2 or potential 3 stars if he got the money from minigames because of the star spot ahead. Also it's not like Vern was completely gone from winning so Vern not using warp is literally just accepting to be a loser. Edited because doing the math, Nick would still technically have 1 star.
The Warp block is the correct play since the Mirage space is gone. The star in front of Brent is guaranteed real. Therefore the scenarios are either: - No warp (or warp misses Brent): Brent steals two stars, then collects the star from the map and has two bonus stars coming. Vern has no stars and is down by five - Warp hits Brent: Brent’s star stealing play is broken up. Nick stays in the lead with three stars but no bonus stars locked in. The star on the map goes to Vern. Vern is down by two. Win chances are way better down by two against Nick than down by five against Brent with a Wacky Watch.
I loved that anticlimactic build-up for Brent's 10 on the final turn only for him to roll a 2. Number 2 fits because Brent us playing as Mr. Player 2 himself, Luigi.
Seeing Nick going from being Vern's biggest enemy aside from Classic Eevee to one of his biggest advocates is the most heartwarming thing. Props to the leaders of the best nations.
Man what an intense hard fought victory for the TCNation, he legitimately fought hard for (almost) all of his stars and was consistently stolen from, the debate for Vernias to use the warp block was intense and the thing was, and Brent threw the game by using the turn watch. Nick was right in a lot of situations and debates he was in, just so happens that they work in his favor. I’ve never seen such an intense game of Mario party before but yeah it’s been a while since a Nick dub and I’m all here for it!
@CirnoFairy Ok you need to stop. I have seen you too many times already replying to comments complaining. It was explained in the video and by multiple comments that Vern swapping with Brent was the only way for Vern to possibly win. Brent always gets the mini game star, he was all but a shoe in for the coin star, and was in the running for the event star. It was almost certain he would get 2 bonus stars and was about to steal from Nick and get another star nevermind the other possible stars from the board. Vern swapping with Brent to get the star near him and prevent Brent from getting all those stars was the only way for the game to stay interesting and to let their be an actual competition for first. If Vern had let Brent do what he wanted Brent would have won unless he had gotten screwed by rng which never happens to Brent. I can only assume you're part of the kingdom of skill or the vernation (if you're a member of the sophisticated society then I don't even know why you're mad because whether Vern swapped or not did not change the fact that eevee was losing). If you're mad Brent loss it's dumb because he wins like 90% of the time there are many videos to watch if you want to see him win (I think he's gotten last like twice). If you are member of the vernation I can only assume you're one of those members who care more about Nick losing than Vern winning. Brent would have almost certainly won until Vern swapped with him, which gave a Vern a chance to win. Stopped insulting these people who are friends with each other for plays they make in Mario Party. Who wins and loses is not that serious Vern should not be called a puppet for trying to win because his choice didn't stop the one you like the least from losing. At least it stopped Brent from getting an easy win.
This game was just so funny. But I have to agree, Vernias using the Warp Block was the correct play, because if I recall right, Brent does reverse, go to the Boo, steals a Star, then the Skeleton Key Gate block his path, so he just go down again and visit Boo AGAIN, stealling another Star (he has over 100 coins) and possibly gets the star next turn, that's not just 4, but 5 stars including Bonus ones. AND, every other play besides using the Wacky Watch was just a guaranteed win for Brent, extending the game for content make him lose. But what a great Content. ALSO, I just wanna mention this, Warp Block is RANDOM, so the fact that hit Brent out of all 3? Bro... Unless that the Warp Block targets the farest player or the player closest to the star. But I still believe it was random, and that makes it even crazier.

Man this episode was wild. I actually wasn’t sure who was going to win until the very end. Respect to Brent for the extra 5 turns though. Sometimes content is way better than winning and holy cow did we get some good content out of it.

One time in Mario Party 2 I was playing with my sister against two CPUs and on the first turn, one of the CPUs rolled a 1, got a hidden block, and it had a star in it. We then reset the game.
Not only the Wacky Watch can decrease the number of turn to the last 5 turns, but if you use it during the last 5 turns, you'll increase the amount of turn. For example, you use the Wacky Watch on the last turn, you get 5 more turns.

It was mostly because Nick set himself up as the heel for this game when he stole the Koopa Card from Eevee. I fully agree with the Vernias puppet allegations, but it was also super fun to watch and have someone to root against.

Honestly the chance of getting the Wacky Watch makes doing a 50 turn game more interesting because using the watch prevents your opponents from using the time left to catch up or cause shenanigans to make you lose.

I belive in you nick, if you think about it vernias was just in a lose-lose situation either way, and both brent and eevee were doing their play in their own interest: making nick lose no matter what. So the only move that he could have done _for himself to have the smallest chance of winning or just not being last..._ was to make brent not do his move.

If anything Vernias waiting a turn to use it would make winning harder because then he’d have to catch up to four stars instead of three so ultimately Vern did the best play he possibly could Not to mention Vern was skeptical of Brent’s plan even before Nick or Eevee saw it so it’s more likely Vern was going to go for it and Nick was the last push he needed

What I mean by that, is that Nick was helping Vernias out here and Vernias was getting criticized in the chats for being Nick's puppet and Nick from the future told us that after a while. He decided to be more sutile with his helping after that point but he nearly fully helped Vernias at 38:11 but he reacted by muting himself so he can correct his error. That's why he reacted. As a final note; Nick, your videos are very insightful in showing the better side of you that I don't think Brent does show at all. Have you seen his videos? He always put the Piplup pictures and gifs in every one of his Mario Party videos and still prefers your old profile picture. You have earned my respect here Nick.

Man what an intense hard fought victory for the TCNation, he legitimately fought hard for (almost) all of his stars and was consistently stolen from, the debate for Vernias to use the warp block was intense and the thing was, and Brent threw the game by using the turn watch. Nick was right in a lot of situations and debates he was in, just so happens that they work in his favor. I’ve never seen such an intense game of Mario party before but yeah it’s been a while since a Nick dub and I’m all here for it!

@CirnoFairy Ok you need to stop. I have seen you too many times already replying to comments complaining. It was explained in the video and by multiple comments that Vern swapping with Brent was the only way for Vern to possibly win. Brent always gets the mini game star, he was all but a shoe in for the coin star, and was in the running for the event star. It was almost certain he would get 2 bonus stars and was about to steal from Nick and get another star nevermind the other possible stars from the board. Vern swapping with Brent to get the star near him and prevent Brent from getting all those stars was the only way for the game to stay interesting and to let their be an actual competition for first. If Vern had let Brent do what he wanted Brent would have won unless he had gotten screwed by rng which never happens to Brent. I can only assume you're part of the kingdom of skill or the vernation (if you're a member of the sophisticated society then I don't even know why you're mad because whether Vern swapped or not did not change the fact that eevee was losing). If you're mad Brent loss it's dumb because he wins like 90% of the time there are many videos to watch if you want to see him win (I think he's gotten last like twice). If you are member of the vernation I can only assume you're one of those members who care more about Nick losing than Vern winning. Brent would have almost certainly won until Vern swapped with him, which gave a Vern a chance to win. Stopped insulting these people who are friends with each other for plays they make in Mario Party. Who wins and loses is not that serious Vern should not be called a puppet for trying to win because his choice didn't stop the one you like the least from losing. At least it stopped Brent from getting an easy win.

This game was just so funny.
But I have to agree, Vernias using the Warp Block was the correct play, because if I recall right, Brent does reverse, go to the Boo, steals a Star, then the Skeleton Key Gate block his path, so he just go down again and visit Boo AGAIN, stealling another Star (he has over 100 coins) and possibly gets the star next turn, that's not just 4, but 5 stars including Bonus ones.
AND, every other play besides using the Wacky Watch was just a guaranteed win for Brent, extending the game for content make him lose. But what a great Content.
ALSO, I just wanna mention this, Warp Block is RANDOM, so the fact that hit Brent out of all 3? Bro... Unless that the Warp Block targets the farest player or the player closest to the star. But I still believe it was random, and that makes it even crazier.
So in case anyone was curious, Plato's Closet is a secondhand clothing store like Goodwill, but they pay you for your clothes.
I agree with Nick here, Vern did nothing wrong. Had Vern not used the warp block, Brent would’ve won the game. As much as I like Brent, I’m sick of seeing him winning every game.

Not only the Wacky Watch can decrease the number of turn to the last 5 turns, but if you use it during the last 5 turns, you'll increase the amount of turn. For example, you use the Wacky Watch on the last turn, you get 5 more turns.

It was mostly because Nick set himself up as the heel for this game when he stole the Koopa Card from Eevee. I fully agree with the Vernias puppet allegations, but it was also super fun to watch and have someone to root against.

I belive in you nick, if you think about it vernias was just in a lose-lose situation either way, and both brent and eevee were doing their play in their own interest: making nick lose no matter what. So the only move that he could have done _for himself to have the smallest chance of winning or just not being last..._ was to make brent not do his move.

If anything Vernias waiting a turn to use it would make winning harder because then he’d have to catch up to four stars instead of three so ultimately Vern did the best play he possibly could
Not to mention Vern was skeptical of Brent’s plan even before Nick or Eevee saw it so it’s more likely Vern was going to go for it and Nick was the last push he needed

I love Nick's reaction at 38:15 when he knows he's walking that thin line between sutile helping and blatent helping and nearly crossed it.
What I mean by that, is that Nick was helping Vernias out here and Vernias was getting criticized in the chats for being Nick's puppet and Nick from the future told us that after a while. He decided to be more sutile with his helping after that point but he nearly fully helped Vernias at 38:11 but he reacted by muting himself so he can correct his error. That's why he reacted. As a final note; Nick, your videos are very insightful in showing the better side of you that I don't think Brent does show at all. Have you seen his videos? He always put the Piplup pictures and gifs in every one of his Mario Party videos and still prefers your old profile picture. You have earned my respect here Nick.
