McDonald's Drive-Thru Ripoff

At this McDonald's in Gilroy, CA, the drive-through cashier tried to scam me out of a dollar. First clue something was wrong was when the menu items and total did not appear on the screen (this is out of view of my dash-cam.)
Then she told me "I'll have your total at the first window." I think this is so she could see if I was paying by cash or credit. When she saw I was paying with cash, she could simply add a buck on to the real total and hope I wouldn't notice, then pocket the extra dollar herself.
When I asked her to read the items back to me, I SHOULD have added them up in my head, but I didn't hear it very well, so I wasn't sure. That's why I asked for a receipt, which she should have given me anyway.
Although I did get my dollar back at the next window, I filed a complaint with McDonald's and tried several times to call the store to warn them to this rogue employee. As I never heard back from them, I am posting it for everyone to see, as a warning. Watch your total, and ask for a receipt.
