  • Walk around Tess Corners Volunteer Fire Department’s Velocity® 100’ Ascendant® Tower with Captain Brandon Boettcher. The short turning radius, short scrub length of the ladder and large amount of storage space were all reasons why the department chose the Mid Mount Platform mid-mount platform. An extended cab allowed for an additional compartment to store water cans, fire extinguishers and New York hooks.

    Really nice piece. The only issue I see is that somebody mistakenly put a pump on a ladder truck.

    Apparently they don't have streets that rise sharply from an adjoining road. Otherwise that rear compartment unit will bottom out. Mack had it right in the '70s by not filling that space under the bucket.

    That's a lot of red lighting. Couldn't have changed the patterns a bit to mix it up?
