First: I found the video in my feed, so it seems to work. Second: One of the best VNs ever, Little Busters, has many optional minigames that are not mandatory in any way shape or form. And I pretty much enjoyed the baseball minigame (even though I got sick of it in my 8th playthrough through the common arc. No you have to restart the game every time because of spoiler reasons). Of course if the rythym game is boring then why even bother. Third: Since the time investments in VNs is so big, they should be a great read, and the VNDB reviewes are somewhat in the middle, and Steam reviews are mixed. Since I still have some unread (Key)VNs, and VNDB says this one has a playtime around 50 hours, I probably won't bother.
Holy cow! You must like obscure visual novels for this to get recommended to you, so do I! (So many videos on my channel are VN now as that's what I'm playing) I've never heard of little busters, just looked it up and it seems cool so I'll add it to my wishlist. It's good that if I don't like the minigames I can skip them but it's a shame, why include them if they suck! Part of the length is if you are trying to get everything, you can cut this down a bit if you don't go for every ending, route and CG but it's still long with 6 routes. If anything I'd say give it a try, play for about 4-5 hours to meet everyone then make a judgement call. If you like this style of game then it's easier to recommend. Personally I don't tend to like romance novels all too much so the use of an apocalypse sold it to me.
