Honestly, the biggest let-down of the old game was the final fight - you could not lose. The Destiny Knight was unkillable, so he could just blast away with the scepter (which had unlimited uses), finally revive everyone and bang - won. On the other hand, the game itself was so tough it was probably a way to make up for the things the game did to the player before that.
I like some of the changes they did, like having to find out the clues for the Dreamspell instead of just going to the right square. Apart from theat Diamond Shield are stuck in my mind as having a better AC bonus.
Anyhow a nice series. Well done :)

The original was an I WIN button with the Destiny Knight. The remaster edition made it an down and out fight. What I loved about new changes was that the Destiny Knight can die at anytime if you mismanaged the entire fight. Overall the Devs wanted to make things tougher which is good.
As the Dreamspell yeah that was fun getting the clues. Too bad I forgot at the time of the recording of getting it is to map out where the clues was. Still good times to me.
If the devs for the trilogy make it fun like this. I can't wait for Wasteland.

Thanks. The final boss in this game I had a blast with. The twist was good too.

It makes me wonder if the people behind Event Horizons played the Bard's Tale II.

Can't go up the portal to the 5th floor of Mangar's Tower. Know of any reason why that would be so?

You need to do is to use the switch that swaps walls to doors and doors to walls. Once that happens you access the portal to level 5 in Mangar's Tower. It's not like level 3 where you speak the words in order. The portal up is in the southwestern corner of the map.

@@LordFentonGaming Lol, yea, thanks, but, I have made it to that room with the portal up, and when I stand under the portal and click to go up it does nothing. Thank you for the response, though. If you figure out the issue you'll earn a subscriber. Course, I suspect I will get my ass kicked alot in Bard's Tale 2, once done with the first, as it sounds pretty hard. :o

@@thehiddenpaw7939 It depends which version your playing. The Legacy mode has the Portal Up Key as A and Down as D. NOTE that you must have any Levitation spell active going up or down a portal. Without it going down your party will take falling damage. As for going up without it your stuck.
Now the Remastered due to A and D being used as movement the new keys are as follows with the same must have Levitation spell on: Q goes up and Z goes down. Again no Levitation on going down you will take damage and none trying to go up your stuck. So if you hit any anti magic floors and you arrive at the starts cast Levitation and off you go.
      You'll do fine in Bard's Tale 2. It's a lot more fun.

@@LordFentonGaming Ah, yes, that would be the issue then. I was using Levitation, but decided it was not needed since I could see all the traps, and Trapzap them. So, I stopped casting it to save spell points. Q, and Z are the buttons (Re-Mastered version), also the pull down with the Portal up and Portal down you can click with mouse. I used all and nothing. But, you have the answer, I am sure. Will go kick Mangar's ass now. Subscribed, and thank you :)

@@thehiddenpaw7939 Yeah the remastered mucked with the buttons. Glad I used the mouse for the menu version too . My video is a bit outdatted due to the changes from 2.0. Happy hunting on Mangar.

I was wondering can you take all your equipped items to BT3? Also what planet do you get the geomancer at?

    • @LordFentonGaming
      @LordFentonGaming  4 роки тому +2

If I remember you can transfer most items except certain ones like the Destiny Wand. The plane is Kinesta.

Normal mode. At the time Legacy mode was patched in when The Bard's Tale 3 remastered was out.

They used the old assests than updated those. That is my only big grip about the remastered. Still the Destiny Knight is OPed.
