Wrapping gold wedding bands in walnut (super/ca glue polish)

A friend of mine asked me to make some wooden wedding bands, after some discussion we decided to add a metal core, specifically gold. this means should the ring break there will still be something of the original ring left to re-wrap or melt to make new rings.
