A very Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎅🎄 Thank you for your support this year! 22’ is not over just yet, but I just want to say, WE LOVE YOU and thank you for coming back every week. We wouldn’t be here without you ☺️ x
Happy holidays Garry!!! Gosh, it was a push! Almost 18km and on rugged terrain and steep hills at times!!! 💪💪 We got there, thanks to John 🤣 have a great week, and can’t wait to share part 2 and our OVERNIGHT sail to our next destination next week x
Hi Randy! This was such a blast & to be able to share the experience with new friends 🏝️💦💙🥾 and y’all 🙌 have a wonderful festive season and see ya next week for pt 2 🥰⛵️🎅
Great Keppel is one of Australia's best Islands. I use to fly there in my plane many years ago when the Resort was open for weekends. It's really amazing how many Island Resorts have closed over the years. Many I have stayed at no longer operate. Keep living the dream!
Hey Peter! Wow how incredible, the resort would have been beautiful! I know… how many islands have we been to now, and the resorts are closed….. 6? It’s unbelievable and incredibly sad! Cheers for watching and your support this year Peter! Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎄❤️ x
Thank you so much for those kind words, really appreciate that 🥹 I put so many hours into the production and editing, so your feedback makes me smile! Cheers xx
Cheers Daniel, over the 2 part series (you’ll catch ep 2 next week) there are over 1400 items! 🤓🤓 They’ve taken me 2 weeks to edit ❤️ I’m so glad you can see the effort 🙏 your comment means so much, so thank you for noticing 🙏🙏xx
Ohh.. the lightening.. is sooo worrying.. its just luck really.. that you DONT get hit.. 🥹 Happy holidays Tony and thanks for your support this year and from the very start! Really appreciate it 🙂 x
I've been following Plucky for several years, and I saw the episodes involving his lightning strike. He handled the problem of his damaged hull and lived to publish the episodes and more. Plucky and James (Zingaro) are so entertaining. But then so is Kristina's Travels! :¬) Webhead USA
@@KristinasTravels Good one! Google dictionary define Plucky to a P... er T! Definition is: "having or showing courage in the face of danger." What a name! Have a great week. :¬) Webhead USA
Always fun to watch your adventures! I really liked the part in the stormy weather, I wished we had seen more of that. It shows how it's like in "real-life conditions" . The lighting strike on boat feels actually worrying, I had assumed the mast would always be hit first. Keep it going! Greetings from holidays in Thailand!!!
Oh thats so interesting! Well.. let me tell you.. there is PLENTY more.. scary storms to come.. like.. really intense..😳 I wont tell you anymore, but.. yeh.. it gets pretty full on from here! Thanks for watching Marc and see ya next week! Merry Christmas :) Enjoy Thailand!! Amazing!
Well goodmorning guys its me again & enjoyed the video showing what you guys have been up to & experienced since last video. Man the storm really came down upon you in great strenghth & then as you said it was perfect the next day & fancy Gina showing up right next to your boat. Man thats some long distance lens you have on your camera & you must be able to get good shots from it. As for the18km trek, you all did well to complete seeing such difficult terrain, just shows how fit you guys are & looks like men better then women huh? There has been a lot in the press about Great Keppel Island but in the end there the development stays in limbo yet again which is such a shame a surely right development would draw tourists. Love the fresh water showers but cold water showers are not my thing thats for sure. Another great video Kristina so keep on pumping them out whilst John is away flying right? Take care, regards.
Haha! It is a HUGE lens, 600mm I think! John is/was into photography! Yes, the hike was hard, and the men where definitely on a mission! Yes, I’m working hard and getting lots of editing done which has been fantastic ❤️ Thanks so much for your messages and saying hello, it’s always nice to read your comments. Have a wonderful Christmas! There should be one more episode next week before the big day! 🎄🎅 x
Very fun and cool video. Australia is on our bucket list. Our boat was made in Australia, it's a 2020 Corsair 880 Sport Trimaran, insanely fast, but easy to sail. We live in Key Largo, Florida which is the first island in the Florida Keys chain of islands. The Corsair is the perfect boat for this area which has some shallow area. We have reached 21.7 knots with this boat, but the average is 12 to 17 knts........ Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Key West, Florida/USA.
Oh that's amazing, your boat was made in Australia, wow! How cool is that! And my goodness. 21.7 knots.. I can't even imagine what that feels like! Insane! Thanks for sharing, I just looked it up, it looks FAST!! Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year xx
Straight back at you Vince! A very happy new year to you and your family ❤️ Thank you for your love and support mate, looking forward to more exciting adventure together this year! 🥂🥳
Yeah... We tried the owen trick... Got hit by lightning and still lost ALL electronics on board and all the instruments at the top of the mast came down in a shower of ash. But we had a lightning grounding system, so no hole at least. Please get yourselves one!!!
I need more Hank footage! We have a frenchie and would love to do the same as your friends - cruising the coast in a catamaran. Just unsure of the logistics with a furbaby 🐶
I went here in the 70.s when TAA owned it and marketed as “go and get wrecked on Great Kepler” seems like a lot of these islands they have been abandoned.Did you go to Dunk ? Have a happy Christmas
Ohhhhh thats soooo funny! I actually saw that ad and was going to included it actually!!! It's just absolutly crazy how many abandoned islands there are! Yeh, we went to Dunk also! So sad :(
I watch this channel and a few others and I ponder about the past. I haven’t been to sea in 40 years but before that I spent 20 years sailing all over the world. I relied on a sextant, charts, loran A and C, and a barometer. Satellites and GPS changed everything but I wonder if today’s sailers have any appreciation or knowledge of how to navigate without today’s conveniences.
Hey Randy! Thanks for your message, I have no doubt that todays sailors wouldn’t find it as easy to navigate without todays conveniences! It would have been a whole different call game 40 years ago that’s for sure!
From what we were told, the person who owns it, goes in on high tides and then ties it up in the mangroves. Would be a nice steady sleep in there but I’m not sure about the sandflies/mosquitos!!!
When you go to an island do you worry about your boat being there when you get back? I just thought of a way to secure a boat so im asking if this is a concern. You guys have grown I enjoy your adventures and may be out there one day. Better be soon lol.
We always lock up the boat when we go to shore! The only way someone would be able to steal it if they were using the sails… but I don’t think they’d get far with AIS onboard and the rego written all over the boat and sails!
Yes, I worried about this a lot, but more worried about it dragging anchor or someone dragging into us more so then someone pinching it. The good thing is sailboats don’t get anywhere fast 😂
Thank you for the reply, it would be greatly appreciated if possible to come and visit with you both one day. I'm certified to 34 feet power or sail if possible to take a week off from my work, I'm a painter. I need a weekend sail to no where. Happy new year to you both too. I seen your reply on that too.

A great fast paced sailing video.
Glad you enjoyed it! Merry Christmas and keep a look out for part 2! ❤️
I just love your videos! Thank you!
Seeing great keppel island reminded me of the 1980s dating show perfect match.. that show sent so many couples to Great Keppel
Oh reallllly! Thats sooo funny! I had no idea. Hahaha!
Great video, glad you survived the storm, the lightning would be a worry
Ohh.. the lightening.. is sooo worrying.. its just luck really.. that you DONT get hit.. 🥹 Happy holidays Tony and thanks for your support this year and from the very start! Really appreciate it 🙂 x

Hi Bob!! Merry Christmas!!! Thanks for your support this year. Have a wonderful festive season and a Happy New Year too! ❤️
I actually met Gina Rinehart about 25 years ago! She was very nice and respectful and didn't talk down to me. She has my respect.
100%, she seems like an intelligent and amazing human. Did you hear she did a lottery recently, and gave 10 employees $100k dollars!
Very few people use solar showers. there are nice models you hang to warm and shower and the foot-pump style that can sit on the deck.
