RIP Julian Sands, a legend gone but never forgotten ❤
@officialGrimmlifecollective_ fake account
It's sweet of you guys to visit and leave flowers in memory of Julian Sands. He was an iconic actor and will be greatly missed ❤️
@officialGrimmlifecollective_ fake account
My uncle is a retired forest service ranger. His post was MT. Baldy. He lived up there for 30 years, pretty much by himself, most of the time. He’s dealt with bears and mountain lions. Me and my parents would go up there on the weekends to visit. It was beautiful, but terrifying at the same time.
@officialGrimmlifecollective_ fake account
I've lived in the Forest most of my life..
The likelihood of running into a bear or Mountain Lion during a snowstorm in January is less than 1%.
I’m so sad to hear he passed, he was a legend, having been in some of the most interesting movies ever (Warlock, Arachnophobia, Boxing Helena… and my favorite, Tale of a Vampire). RIP Julian Sands 💔
I've only seen Boxing Helena and loved it, different.
Thank you so much for taking beautiful flowers to honor him. He was a beautiful human and will be missed forever. Rest in peace, Julian. We miss you.
It was a beautiful spot to leave those colorful flowers 💐
@@crystallina2920 I couldn't agree more!
RIP Julian Sands
Michael grimm would you fulfill my request by visiting the grave of John philip sousa please and you are a sweet special caring person on youtube 🇺🇲🇺🇲
I met Julian at the Texas Frightmare Weekend last year; the one guest I was the most excited to meet. One of my favorite actors growing up (I saw Warlock in the theaters with my brothers at least three times!). He was extremely humble, kind and gracious. I'm grateful to have met him, saddened by his loss and pray that God bless his soul and his family. RIP.
I met Julian on Halloween in 2015 at Spooky Empire Horror Convention in Orlando! He was a very nice man, I had no clue that hiking was one of his favorite things to do. He died doing what he loved. May he RIP. 🙏
Thank you for leaving flowers. I think his family would appreciate that
@officialGrimmlifecollective_ fake Grimme life account lol 😂 he warned us about phony accounts! You can’t fool me dude!
Mainstream Hollywood may not have ever given him the respect that he deserves, but it's really good to see the horror community coming together for him now.
It's an utter disgrace that Julian never got the respect he deserved as a phenomenal actor.
It’s so beautiful and peaceful to go hiking in the mountains. Rest in peace Julian Sands, you’ll be missed.🙏🏻🕯️💐❤️💕
Just so sad. Gone but never forgotten. RIP Julian. 💔....thank you both for this tribute.
He was such an underrated actor. As a child I remember him in Warlock and being captivated with him. When I got older I really l liked him in A Room with a View . I think he didn’t get as many good roles as he should have. There was just something about him. When I first heard about this case I almost wondered if he was depressed or just used to hiking there. There’s been many cases of people going missing even in good weather. I’m so glad you guys are covering this case. I really felt bad for him and his family. Thank you guys. 💜
Why can’t he say the word hell
Thanks for posting this! I've climbed 13 peaks in the Mt Baldy area, some multiple times. Between January 13th and the day his body was found, I've climbed Baldy twice and kept my eyes open looking for any sign of him. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I still have a lot of questions myself. RIP Julian :(
RIP Julian Sands. You will be missed. Thank you for the beautiful video!
Such an incredibly beautiful place and a very touching tribute to Julian Sands.
It was so nice of you guys going to do this and leaving flowers, so sad RIP JULIAN SANDS🌻🌹🌸🌼😢
Such an underrated actor, and always one of my favorites. May he rest in peace
I remember hearing about him going missing, and for 5 months I had to think of him. I'm glad they were able to recover his body, but it's still so incredibly sad. He will always be one of my favorites......thank you.
I can't believe he is gone rest in peace 🕊️🕊️🕊️ prayers 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 I love his work
how do i do that
No matter how experienced u should never hike alone. Even something like breaking your ankle can mean life or death. Rip Julian sands.
Lol. No. Hiking alone is fine
@@ShannonLH1108 ok
@@ShannonLH1108 There have been Mountain Lions and bears in the area.
@@TheBandit7613 they are in most forested areas of the US.
So sad. What a great actor. Beautiful place. Amazing video!✌️
I didn't even know he had passed, great tribute guys! RIP Julian!
I loved him in " Arachnophobia" i love your autographed photo of him. Very beautiful scenery. Hiking alone is dangerous, maybe he just needed to be alone with nature... RIP Julian🙏💜🕷️💐
He was such a talented actor and seemed such a lovely, intelligent and interesting person. So sorry that he died.
Long time Grimmlifecollective watcher but first time making a comment. I met Julian Sands at a collector's show held in Burbank some years ago and it was such a pleasure meeting him. A gentleman with beautiful wit and charm, I was sadden to hear about his disappearance back in January. I'm glad that his remains were found and that his family can have closure. Thank you for this heartfelt and respectful tribute to him!
Julian was a great British actor,we was all praying for his safe return but very sad when we heard of his death,RIP Fella ,You Did Awesome 👍😉💪🇬🇧
@officialGrimmlifecollective_ scammer go away
RIP Julian Sands 😞 This one is hard. Loved him ever since A Room with a View and of course Warlock. I always thought Julian would be perfect as The Count of Saint Germain especially after seeing him in Warlock. Thank you for this lovely tribute.
You guys have become a constant in my everyday life. Thank you so much for your hardwork, content and for taking us on every grimm adventure!
Such a heavy and helpless feeling this year knowing how close he was to my house... Mt. Baldy being my backyard and all... I wish he wasn't alone that day. Rest in peace, dear Julian❤
That’s very sweet you guys did that for him ! RIP Julian Sands 😎🇺🇸👍🏻🦅🙏🏻😇
Thank you so much for paying respects in this thoughtful way. I grew up really liking Julian Sands, whom I discovered in the '80s, and I felt his true Romanticism over the years, even more lately with his emotive poetry readings in Rome of Keats and Shelley. I will miss him. He seemed fascinating, noble in spirit, but humble and even with some self-deprecating and elegant humor. You seem like good people. What a lovely ritual to do. Greetings from the San Francisco Bay Area.
God bless. I remember him on SMALLVILLE. Thank you for this lovely remembrance.
I didn't realize he had been missing for so long. I love so many of his movies and recently watched Rose Red after watching your Rose Red filming locations. He was so good in it. Thank you Michael and Jessica for giving tribute to Julian Sands and sharing with us.
Met Julian last year at Texas Frightmare Weekend. He was so polite, and I was the star stuck fan. He autographed a picture from Warlock and graciously took a picture with me. It was the best moment. Thank you for taking the trip up there and leaving the flowers for him. It was a beautiful moment.
This is Sad!! And Shocking! Warlock, & Boxing Helena were My Favorite Movies with him! R.I.P. 🙏🌹💖💕💕✨✨🌠🌠⭐⭐💛🌹💯 He Should be Talked about a LOT MORE with the Media! I'm Surprised he's Not! He Made a Mistake being alone, & in the Winter at that Beautiful, Massive Place!! VERY UNFORTUNATE!..... Thanks for Showing this! 👍♥
I have been hiking the San Gabriels all my life stating in 1965 when I was 11. They are steep and rugged with al lot of slippery decomposed granite made even more hazardous when snow or ice is present. I remember in 1969 finding a person that had broken their leg in upper Rubio canyon and had been up there since the day before, I stayed with him while my friend went back down to get help which took several hours since he had to get back to the trailhead and find a local resident that would let him call the sheriff on their home phone and required being airlifted. For the last 15 years the Mt Baldy area has been my hangout, in fact just today I got back from spending the day in San Antonio creek when I found this. RIP Julian.
You two are class!!! What a great thing to do, i hope his spirit knows you did this!
Loved him as an actor and he really seemed to be a great guy! 🖤
Every time I think of Julian I always picture his performance in the film arachnophobia. Such a great movie and actor ❤
Thank you for that beautiful tribute to Julian Sands.
He was a great actor with great on screen presence.
I loved him in Ken Russell's "Gothic", and Merchant Ivory's "A Room With A View".
I , like you said, can see why Julian loved that place, absolutely beautiful scenery. That was a beautiful bouquet of flowers you left out of respect for Julian.
So devastating that he died, and will we ever know what happened?
At least is family can have his funeral, say goodbye.
Rest in peace.
RIP Julian Sands - such a brilliant man who I had the pleasure of directing in The Ghosts of Borley Rectory in the summer of 2020 where he played the character of Lionel Foyster bringing his years of experience to the role. I will forever remember the road trip to Norfolk and Simon Callow’s one man show. The hikes and mountains were your freedom and rest in peace my dear friend - your legacy is eternal.
Thanks guys for showing us this place
Supurb actor , who left us too soon ! Wonderful tribute for a beautiful man ! I am sure he knows you were there
it shows that you guys use a lot of candor and respect when you are making inquiries and that is always appreciated
6 amazing waterfalls, one after another. Love hiking that mountain.
Thank you Grimms for doing that for us all. Beautiful flowers in a stunning location. R.I.P. to a genre icon. I really was a fan.
I'm definitely going to miss him, but at least he died in a place that he loved. Very few people get that option.
Amazing composition, quality photography and story. I can tell despite its length how much work went into it
Julian was also in The Killing Fields..epic movie. RIP Julian
I didn't realise he'd been found until I saw this video.
I'd heard the news, and checked in about 2 weeks ago and he'd still not been found at the time.
Your video is such a, for want of a better word, nice way, to find out the tragic news that he'd been found.
I think discovering the news through your video has softened the blow a little to be totally honest.
I really love, and I've said this before, how respectful, genuine, honourable, kind, and outright dignified you guys are when visiting places, especially when it comes to places where people died.
Such a nice tribute to Julian Sands to show people what possibly happened.
Thank you, guys :)
DM.
Thank you for this video tribute to the wonderful Julian Sands....I just recently watched Leaving Las Vegas and Boxing Helena....
God bless his family and friends, and most of all, Julian. You will be missed 💔
Hey guys, thanks for another amazing video. One of the biggest reasons I follow you is the respectful way you treat each subject. You are really good at finding a balance between communicating the information and respecting the people and places in question. 👻🎃
I agree completely!!! The grims are very respectful....hopefully I can get the opportunity to meet them someday.
I instantly remembered him from my childhood favorite move Arachnophobia and I was young young…. Cool thing about being a parent is introducing classics to your kids and knowing they too will probably tell their children…. Sadly, when familiar actors to all pass on, that too is felt thru generations…..
Where’s the silver-lining maybe? The departeds positive impact continues for generations as well. At least to the viewers of their art….
We here will always be thankful for the hours of togetherness movies have brought us. So on that, thank you Mr. Sands…. ❤
First thing I ever saw him in was “Oxford Blues.” I freaking loved that movie as a teenager in the ‘80s. He was so beautiful ❤ And, of course, “Arachnophobia” and the “Warlock” movies. It sounds trite, but he really seems to have loved that mountain - a small solace that he died in a place he adored.
Rest in Peace Julian Sands you will always be remembered. Another great Video Michael and Jessica
Juilian sands will be dearly missed. What a actor he was and thanks for doing this.
@officialGrimmlifecollective_ how can I?
Thank you for thinking enough of Julian to take flowers up the trail to express your feelings of loss. I'd like to claim one of those full sunflowers as if I put it there myself, if that's okay. Love and light to his family, friends, and fans. It's not goodbye. It's see ya later.
You both were so kind and respectful in memory of this man Regards to you both and condolences to Julian Sands family from Australia
My favorite Julian Sands movie is Gothic. RIP Julian, thanks for sharing your talents with us!
Thank you. This makes him seem a little closer to all of us now. Love you Julian. Miss you.
That is definitely a slide where an avalanche or rock slide could occur. Mountain lions is probably the most scary thing you would run across. Grew up a military brat and spent most of my first 2 decades in Cali....I forget how beautiful a state it is. Thanks for sharing such great footage.
Very nice tribute to Julian Sands. May he Rest In Peace
I understand the pull and desire to go to places like this alone - to get away from the chaos that life can sometimes (and often) bring. But tragedies like this are reminders that as desirable as it is to just get away from it all, doing so alone can be very dangerous. Anything can happen out there in the wilderness and having even one other person with you can be the difference between life and death. And not that I want anyone specific in Hollywood to die, but there are plenty of people whom I wouldn't have minded losing before Julian Sands. Warlock was a favorite of mine as a kid in the 80's and Boxing Helena was one of the more unique films I've ever seen. I was always jealous of Julian's hair when we were younger too. He was just one of those guys whom I always felt was just inherently cool. His appearance, his accent, the roles he chose to play, they were all just cool, and it was very upsetting to think about him out there those first days he was reported missing. I just hope that the investigation into his death leads to a conclusion that when Julian did pass, that it was fast, and that it was without a lot of pain, anxiety or worry. Being trapped anywhere alone is a huge fear of mine, and when you're out in the middle of nowhere in nature, it can essentially be just as restrictive and desolate as being buried alive in a coffin. Thoughts go out to his family and friends, including his best friend John Malkovich, who has basically lost a brother. 65 years old is no spring chicken, but it is also much too young to die, and we all share together in the loss of a great and often underrated talent in Mr. Julian Sands.
R.I.P Julian Sands. Thank you for your movies.🏔❄You guys are so sweet leaving beautiful flowers, so respectful.
💜💐This is so sad,😢what a brilliant and beautiful actor. I Love a "Room with a view." He was so romantic in that movie. You two are awesome and the flowers are so pretty. Love and Blessings! Take Care!💐💜
I can't believe it. I remember Boxing Helena as a kid, it captured my imagiation. RIP.
I was stunned and saddened to see that he passed and then saw your video. Rip Julian Sands.
Oxford Blues was another movie I remember him in. With Rob Lowe. 80s. Good movie.
Mt Blady has a small community. Not many people live up there year round.
I’m aging myself when I say that Santa’s Village used to be up there. It was so cool for a kid to go up there during Xmas season.
Little rides and hot coco.
No wonder Julian liked to go there. Like you guys, I' ve been a fan forever of his movies. So sad. You guys are very kind to take the time to leave flowers.
That is so sad he is gone. I really enjoyed him in Boxing Helena and Gothic where his fear was nipple eyes. A great actor that will be missed.
Crazy, you just did the Rose Red video (which was amazing) and Julian Sands was in that. Nick was a great character in Rose Red. May Julian RIP.
I love the way he talked. RIP Julian.
So sad to hear of the death of Julian Sands, I was hoping he was going to be found alive but RIP
That was really nice from both of you, to remember on Julian Sands. He also played in my favorite movie "Vatel". He played Louis XIV. Rest In Heaven Julian Sands!
Be still my heart... Forever Julian ❤
I can see why he loved that place. Unfortunately, things can go wrong very quickly in a place like that. For his family's sake, I'm glad his remains were found. RIP, Julian.
This is such a sad situation. RIP, Mr. Sands - you will be missed... 😢💔🌹
Will be looking forward to seeing the Warlock filming locations, love that movie ❤ RIP Julian Sands
RIP Julian Sands. He was one of my favorite actors of all time.💔💔💔💔
The first movie I saw him in was "Vibes" with Cyndi Lauper and Jeff Goldblum.
I actually commented on your "Rose Red" video about his disappearence. It kinda gave me the creeps when the very next day authorties announced they found his remains.
He was a gifted actor and by all accounts a good man with a kind heart.
Farewell Mr. Sands and thankyou for all the memories.
This was a beautiful tribute, so glad you guys got to do it, RIP Julian, you will never been forgotten
Glad they finally found him but what a loss he was one of my favorite actors
Beautiful place sad what happened
A very talented man, gone way too soon. 💔 Rest in peace, Julian Sands. 🙏
growing up Julian as the warlock was one of my favourite villains, loved him in that role.
A very respectful video to an actor who will be much missed. Thank you👍👏. Best wishes from England.
I was very sorry to hear about this. RIPJulian, condolences to your family 💔
I remember him a classic 80’s movie. Vibes .
I'm not as familiar with his work as others here, but I hike, so his disappearance and passing gets special attention from me.
I know he was doing what he loved, but it's still tragic and there's a lesson in every story. I'm interested in finding out what exactly happened. There may be a lesson there for the rest of us hikers, and it's sad that he hiking community has hardly given him a mention. Thank you for placing those flowers. ❤
What a beautiful remembrance by you. I'm sure Mr. Sands is smiling. 🙏🌠
Thank you for sharing 😢RIP Julian 💔
Anytime anyone goes missing or remains are found I can’t help but think of David Paulides and his missing 411 series.
That was very beautiful, thank you guys! Very sad situation.
Very sad indeed. Thanks for taking us along and sharing the beauty!
Thank you, for respect, and info regarding Mr. Sands.
It’s so great you guys did this to honor him. ❤ One of my all time favorite actors.
Thank you so much for doing this video❤ Julian Sands will be missed. I am glad that his remains were found dnao that his loved.ones can have some closure.
Thanks for doing this for Julian. Was very sad xx
Thank you for helping us to understand and grieve.
Julian Sands was my teenage crush back in the early to mid 90's. I loved him in the Warlock movies and Gothic. He was my first choice for the vampire Lestat in the movies (much better than Tom Cruise). Thank you for doing this.
Rest easy, Mr. Sands.
Thank you, guys!
🤍🕊️🤍🕊️🤍
Loved him in Rose Red and many other scary movies. Thank you both for this video ❤
From now on , everytime i watch Commando i´ll remember Julian Sands because Mt. Baldy. It was one of the filming locations. Beautiful place, but also dangerous in the Winter.
Well done. Very touching.💔☹️🙏🙏
