"My dad gave it to me to give to my son so I'm bringing it to this pawn shop instead." Dad of the year lol
yeah this guy is a piece of work...
Maybe the son had no interest in it?
His son was with him, he wanted the money clearly. He was getting the money.
Did he say he had a son? Maybe it never worked out
I wanted to know what that dude wanted with the bowl, he didn't want photographed. 😂😛
Yes, and what he wanted to sell off camera
drugs
That guy had a garage sale on Peter's desk
I hate when they come and place a bunch of junk on the counter 😏
More like a garbage sale
@@terrisantiago9128😂😂😂
You mean garbage sale
Garbage** sale you mean
I cant believe I found someone that will look at and maybe purchase your goods and be TOTALLY HONESTwith you.The world still has Good People. Thanks Pete
Bro brought in his entire garage lol. now i wanna know about the bowl
It's the only thing he didn't have a story about....
Peter is such a good salesperson that he sold a lawnmower to a guy looking for a snowblower.
lol
Lmao I know right, what was up with that it's snowing and this dude is buying a lawn mower
Peter is such a good salesperson that he sold a pogo-stick to a guy looking for a wheelchair.
@@Mr.Meme01 Maybe he thought he could get a good deal since mowing season is over and Pete would have to store it till next season.
I'd say your comment is more on the money than the other ones.@@xcalibertrekker6693
The truly amazing part to me is that Peter has shared his whole life experience building this shop from just selling/buying on craigslist... His videos go back years!! Always the same genuine fella.
Yep, and like My Father , He came from Warsaw, Poland.Thats one of the reasons I enjoy this channel so much!
Stumbled across your channel today! So so wholesome! Very refreshing to see down to Earth people still exsist out there!
You just hangout with the wrong crowd, there's plenty of laid back people. You have to get up off the internet and go outside and try to meet people.
@@michaelbryant972 I guess I should of been more specific for you. I meant people online. People being kind and wholesome and putting it online without it being fake trash like someone going up to a homeless guy and giving him money just so your buddy can film you do it. Your comment kind of just proved my point. You don't even know me but yet assume I spend every waking hour on the internet. Does me giving someone a kind comment really bother you that bad? That says a lot about you.
17:39 - As someone who lives in southern Ontario, I don't know if I appreciate Ruby's comment about Canadians.
Port Elgin here :)) Hello fellow Canadian
@@denisemcleod7926 Hi, friend! I'm in the tri-cities (Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge).
@@joshyaks Hello Friend ✌️ You aren't too far away, come visit Port in the summer , it's pretty nice 😎
@@denisemcleod7926 I love those Lake Huron beaches - they're so nice in the summer!
It's not so nice in the winter ☃️ I'm 5 minutes from the main beach and that wind off Lake Huron sure gets cold, yesterday was crazy snowing! Summer and Fall are my fav seasons up here. Have a great night. D ☮️
I have the exact same Michelin roadside emergency kit 4:46. It's from roughly year 2000. It was free when you purchased certain sets of four new Michelin tires from an authorized retailer. Had to mail in your receipt and Michelin sent the kit to qualified customers.
I got a bunch of old 60's bass fishing rods when my grandfather died and felt bad because I didn't want them at all lol. They were sooo bad back then. HEAVY fiberglass with no sensitivity to feel bites on artificial/soft plastic lures. The pistol grips that were really common back then also make the balance horribly tip heavy. A cheap graphite rod today is just miles better.
Nice to see frank fritz stopped by the shop
Beehahahaaaa
The Algorithms Hit last week ❤ and I have been Hooked 👀 eversince especially having that love of 70's, 80's and 90's Music 🎶 Rock bands it's absolutely amazing like going back in time ✨️ Whats even better is living just 20 minutes north right in the ❤ Heart to the Gateway of the Chain of Lakes it gives me even a better opportunity to visit your store and your Furry friends 🐈 🦜 are ❤ great little friends to complement your awesome videos 📹 👍 Being a Collector of Things over the years and a Scratch Model Builder of Minture Wooden Structures your Store fascinates me 🧐 with what I see your customers come in with and the compassion and respect 🙏 you treat everyone of them with. You are a good soul ✨️ and Hope some day to meet you. Being disabled now and my wife it's not as easy, but I may just surprise you 👍 It must have meant to be that I found your Channel 👍
Dave.
I love how these videos are so much more like the real vibe of a pawn shop than Pawn Stars.
Love the guy buying a mower in the snow ❄️
One reason I like watching this show is that the owner of the shop really seems to want to incorporate fairness into every deal. If I lived in this area I would want to be friends with the shop owner.
I’m cleaning out my parents house and have maybe 250 items I’m bringing in this week, hopefully I can have my own episode 😅
21:13 It’s amazing you even say in front of the customer your going to sell it on EBay and they will still keep coming back to sell things, They never think maybe they could sell it on EBay themselves and get twice as much 😂😂 love your videos I never thought I’d ever think I’d enjoy watching someone working in a second hand store but I’m stuck watching yours and the bird and cat are a great part of the show very cool 😎
I've told people that too, but almost nobody wants to do it because they think it's complicated.
eh its money in their pocket today, no guarantee it sells on EBay quick or at all. Plus no shipping etc. It is why these shops exist.
I sold a copy of Resident Evil 2 for the N64 to the comic book shop in my town for 20$. A week later, I went on his Ebay to check out what graded comics he had listed, sure enough I saw my RE2 listed for 50$... bought a label printer, scale, shipping supplies, and never looked back.
Instant cash out is convenient and convenience cost
Shipping cost, effort, can get ripped off, package can get lost or 'lost', a lot more overhead for an individual to sell something on ebay vs Pete can afford to potentially lose an item and he's a reputable seller anyway so people will naturally buy from him over some random guy who made an account last week.
Just realized after watching u for a few weeks that I am only 30 minutes away. I’ll be coming in soon
I can’t stop watching your videos Peter!! I love it!! I got my whole family hooked on your channel!! Can’t wait to come visit your store !! Great job 👏
@@frankroper3274 only one would say that is the one doing it 🫵
how much for tht home alone coat and what size is it?
Sorry about your friend passing away Pete it is a lovely lamp it looks awesome!
i love your videos so so much pete !!! i could watch you do this all day 😅 thank u for sharing with us
Hi there, im 72 and live-in the uk. just wanted to say i stumbled on your show by accident and absolutely love it. You have a very nice way with customers which works in your favour. It reminds me of when i used to work in a music shop back in the seventies . The general rule was, anyone selling gear would be offered a third of the trade price, and and anyone part exchanging gear around a half of trade depending on condition. is that similar to your system these days? finally, been trying to work out from your accent where your from...do tell, its driving me nuts. ps love your animals. kind regards, Spart.
Can't believe it's snowing their. Nice and sunny in Idaho
Snowed in Maine too
That part of Illinois is gloomy and boring. I know, I moved from that region in 1998, I never looked back.
I've been doing a binge watch on your show - I'm new and have been stuck watching episodes after episodes. I also adore Ruby, Honey, and the new bird (I can't remember her name).
I'm cousins with Brent Seabrook. I have a red Chicago Blackhawks jersey. Would love to have that black one
Pete, Does that costume come with your spittal and germs?
I'm from NY and went to Bradley University in the 80s. We used to drink Old Style and I remember everyone referring to it as "doggie style". Wasn't a horrible beer....
Called it Old Stool and I thought it was horrendous 😕 😳
I feel for the guy with all the items.
He must relaay be in a bad financial bind.
We got one of those small BBQ grills for a wedding present in 1973. It lasted a long time with lots of hard use. Memories.
Both Pete & The Customer Were Satisfied With The Deal.
More Pete than the other guy trust me the other guy is it Pete’s mercy or he wouldn’t be there
@@robintaylor485 $175 for all that crap wasnt a bad deal for that guy. Most of that stuff would get thrown out otherwise.
Man im addicted to your channel and i just found your channel yesterday. I may even check out your shop. Doesnt look to far away since im from milwaukee
There is so much nonverbal behavior that is happening with each transaction. It is amazing.
And all the drug addicts that come in are like clowns. The way these addicts stand and move their bodies is so screaming “I am an addict and need money to buy more meth.”😮😮😮
First 100 comments club guys . Hope everyone having good day. Always love the videos .
Nice to see that german dagger at the end of the video! Cool item❤
I’ve been subbed for about 2.5 3 years and I remember when you got the world clock so it hasn’t been that long Pete!
Time flys!
The hassle you go through to bring in all that stuff compared to how much you get…. You might as well just throw it away. Omg the little joe Weber grill…. My god he has everything…..
The little Weber grill is called a Smokey Joe. I have one. Used it a lot when my kids were young.
I love the atmopshere of your shop so much.
You made start my own shop !! Iam doing okay but many locals want to much money for stuff leave no meat on the bone help!!!please !!
Well it’s nice to know that whoever buy’s that skeleton will also get your germs to go along with jacket
What happened to that old lady? Did she get fired?
She was the best and should have been the owner.
Great video I'm a antique dealer sitting here on my phone with a neck injury watching you lol anyways maine still has some great stuff. My dad had many shops through new England. Hey I want that lamp lol love them things. Don't forget to hang on to your gold and bury it because this country is going to crap fast they want to get rid of cash and that would be it for us..Take care from one dealer to another..
It’s brand new never been used. Just a bit dirty and missing some pieces.
So glad I found this page
i remember when you got that clock ! i loved it and wanted jt tooo soon as j seen it. such a good ride with you pete ❤❤
Your so calming to listen too
Everybody I know in Chicago still drink Old Style - the old timers and the new generations!
The Iron Maiden killers poster is awesome
"You gonna edit this out or what? Welllll....BEEP" Was cracking up at this part.
Insurance companies do have ridiculous commercials that have zippo to do with insurance and its coverages. Nope. We get camels announcing that it’s hump day. Geico ads with a talkative gecko that has an Aussie accent promising 10% lower prices. And finally Flo from Progressive and her doing the parts for all family members. Talking about what? That’s right. My favorite has become Mayhem from Allstate. Shows all the different ways you can screw up driving. Trying to locate your phone that has fallen thru the cracks while driving? Bad accident coming up Friend…get Allstate Pal.
love the videos mate all the way from Melbourne Australia
Peter, you shouldn't give anything sent by post to animals, there are people capable of anything...they can put poison in toys...:(..I want to thank you for your videos and one of the few UA-cam channels I watch. ..my girlfriend is Polish and we always follow your channel...I wish you and your family all the best
The environment is so relaxing I would love to work at this shop
I thought the guy in the thumbnail was Big Ed
That clock with Boston, LA, Kansas, etc was given to you in June of 2021
Honey is so cute!
Great UA-cam channel man!! Just started watching your such an honest guy!! I wish you were in cleveland I have so much valuable worthless to me stuff lol!! I wish pawn shops were still popular in cleveland!! The cool thing is 2 it seems like you accept all most anything!!
3:13 That's some dark stuff
I seriously doubt I could deal with the type people that Pete has to deal with on a daily basis. Especially the ones who think they can get 100 for whatever junk they decide to drag in to the shop when its only worth maybe 15 bucks! Edit: The guy selling his house had a yellow truck. That guy actually just said "my dad gave it to me to give it to him" then he points at who I assume is his kid. So you're taking a gift that was ment for the mans grandson and hocking it at a pawn shop?! Father of the year he certainly is NOT! 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
Yeah it’s absolutely sad to see something like that.
But you’re looking at people who go to a pawnshop, what do you expect?
One must be very desperate to pawn something their, because of course you get ripped of.
Just sell your stuff on eBay and Craigslist!
You have to realize there are many older folks who don't know how to use Ebay to sell their items, some don't want to deal with the hassle of taking pictures and uploading and shipping. As a result, they rather pawn it for less and still get some cash out of it.@@rolux4853
@@rolux4853 I do agree with you that you're not gonna get as much from a pawn shop compared to doing the leg work yourself. But I also don't blame Pete at all. He's running a business an has to pay his own bills. And pay his people a fair wage. For me personally It was that truck that was meant for the man's grandson that is getting caught up in my goat 😆 about this whole transaction. I know if my father hocked something that was from my grandfather meant to go to me we'd be having some MAJOR WORDS. An I'm not talking nice ones either.
Love these videos! Do you have a website where you list all the items mentioned in the video or even things from your store
Veterinarians use the owners last name for the cats last name. Have you ever taken Honey to the vet?
You guys offer way more than most pawn shops, I’m generally seeing them offer 25 percent of resale value even on things that sell quick
Those lightweight 2 stroke snowblowers are really good units.
They don't make them anymore, only heavy 4 stroke ones that don't start well in the cold
Come on! LOL That's just not true. Small engines don't start because of... (wait for it)... FUEL! People run cheap fuel with no stabilizer and the units sit for a year or even two years before they try and start it. Cheap fuel only lasts around three months, and the carbs (depending on model) have super tiny ports that clog easily with dirt and varnish. Nothing at all to do with two stroke vs. four stroke.
@jakester455 agree and disagree!
4 stroke motors have base oil which is often thick and inhibits start up at cold temps.
2 stroke engines are by design lighter weight 😃 and YES, non ethanol fuel is a MUST for ALL small engines
You totally sold the cat toys. It’s all good man, in the end a cat will enjoy them toys.
This channel has me hooked!
That negotiation tactic at 19:00 was so cool.
Spooky trading
First the thumbnail looked like big Ed from 90 day universe
loving that parrot already, hah.
Just found your channel and see your in IL! Hi from another Illinoiser!
that is a dope twenty one pilots sweatshirt. if you haven’t checked out their music you should!!!
Bahaha thr home alone jacket is hanging there
Hey Pete! Just joined as a member! Could you give us an updated tour of your store sometime? Would love to see all your stuff!
Guys a walking garage sale
25:49 Take the poster down and go get 100 copies made, sell them put your one back up on the wall 😊 and definitely keep the EBay shirt
I sold that exact punching bag once. Pretty good interest. Should be a quick sale
Ballsakk t-shirts are a hot sale. I brought 2 for my sister
That clock was cool
Continue the great content thanks so much for all you do
That shamen poster. So cool
10:40 Smokey Joe 😊
Love the costume
Recently got hooked on these vids, very fun and relaxing. What's the deal with the postcards, is it for a like a prize or just sending them in for the fun of it?
If I were the seller, I would've written down 3 bills, I'm sure Pete would've offered 2
It's a weird dynamic, Pete will push for the lowest purchase price anywhere and everywhere. But when he's selling something he wants every penny out of it at maximum price. What?
Big Ed! 😂 I thought this was going to be a collab video
Everything is for sale Pete!! Just haven’t been given the right price. Hahaha. Love ya Pete.
Oh man, I would have bought the Habs jersey!!!
Its funny how people get caught off guard when he dosnt want an item they brought in because they "knew it was worth something." 😂
I really enjoy your personality sir.
Rock and Roll
Hey! Nice Golf Disc Collection!
Pete what happened to the guy who took his guitar then got caught by the cops. No trespass and a curt appearance
The first guy reminded me of big Ed
First snow in Vermont today nov,1,2023 dusting
Where Vickey at ?
I'm also curious
People bring in junk and expect to get alot of money out of them.
That’s what happens when your family/friends know you have an eBay store.
Aha! Skeleton from the closet!
This dude walked around his house with a box and filled it with shit
