    Old phone's that don't require external power are actually good. If your power goes out, and there is an emergency you can usually still dial out 911. Unless the call center is down. Usually power outages are not that wide. So it is very useful. I think even an unpaid line to an abandon house can still dial out 911 on those.

    I got a bunch of old 60's bass fishing rods when my grandfather died and felt bad because I didn't want them at all lol. They were sooo bad back then. HEAVY fiberglass with no sensitivity to feel bites on artificial/soft plastic lures. The pistol grips that were really common back then also make the balance horribly tip heavy. A cheap graphite rod today is just miles better.

    Hi there, im 72 and live-in the uk. just wanted to say i stumbled on your show by accident and absolutely love it. You have a very nice way with customers which works in your favour. It reminds me of when i used to work in a music shop back in the seventies . The general rule was, anyone selling gear would be offered a third of the trade price, and and anyone part exchanging gear around a half of trade depending on condition. is that similar to your system these days? finally, been trying to work out from your accent where your from...do tell, its driving me nuts. ps love your animals. kind regards, Spart.

    There is so much nonverbal behavior that is happening with each transaction. It is amazing.
    And all the drug addicts that come in are like clowns. The way these addicts stand and move their bodies is so screaming “I am an addict and need money to buy more meth.”😮😮😮

    I seriously doubt I could deal with the type people that Pete has to deal with on a daily basis. Especially the ones who think they can get 100 for whatever junk they decide to drag in to the shop when its only worth maybe 15 bucks! Edit: The guy selling his house had a yellow truck. That guy actually just said "my dad gave it to me to give it to him" then he points at who I assume is his kid. So you're taking a gift that was ment for the mans grandson and hocking it at a pawn shop?! Father of the year he certainly is NOT! 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @rolux4853
      @rolux4853 10 місяців тому +1

      Yeah it’s absolutely sad to see something like that.
      But you’re looking at people who go to a pawnshop, what do you expect?
      One must be very desperate to pawn something their, because of course you get ripped of.
      Just sell your stuff on eBay and Craigslist!

    • @pandacub6164
      @pandacub6164 10 місяців тому

      You have to realize there are many older folks who don't know how to use Ebay to sell their items, some don't want to deal with the hassle of taking pictures and uploading and shipping. As a result, they rather pawn it for less and still get some cash out of it.@@rolux4853

    • @RollTide24-7
      @RollTide24-7 9 місяців тому

      @@rolux4853 I do agree with you that you're not gonna get as much from a pawn shop compared to doing the leg work yourself. But I also don't blame Pete at all. He's running a business an has to pay his own bills. And pay his people a fair wage. For me personally It was that truck that was meant for the man's grandson that is getting caught up in my goat 😆 about this whole transaction. I know if my father hocked something that was from my grandfather meant to go to me we'd be having some MAJOR WORDS. An I'm not talking nice ones either.
