George strait is classic country, old country, good country the country we grew up with that is why we think it is the best. However our kids growing up with this new country pop rock stuff, just because we do not like , doesn't mean it isn't good. It just isn't good to our ears.
I'm still growing up, and a bunch of the new country sucks. I think there are some good ones, and my favorite songs probably span a few decades, because they come from what my mom grew up with, what was on before I was ten, and this decade.
I'm 16, and my favorites playlist includes "Troubadour," Standing outside the fire (Garth Brooks)," "I drove her out of my mind (Johnny Cash)," "Suds in the bucket (Sara Evans)," "Riding with Private Malone (David Ball)," "Baby Girl (Sugarland)," as well as "After the Storm Blows Through (Maddie and Tae)," "Priscilla (Miranda Lambert)," and "Church Bells (Carrie Underwood)." The ones my Grandpa found, the ones my mom found, and the ones I found.
I'm 16 too... Suds in the bucket has always been a favorite of mine. I remember when it came out and it was played about 20 times a day by each country radio station

Greatest country singer of all time!
Young troubadour or old troubadour, either way he is still the king. And that scene with the stone wall, those trees, and George Strait singing is nothing but pure Texas.
Love this comment ❤️
I am Russian, but I like it. Nice song. Thank you George for the another America you showed us
Well said.
??
Alex Sidorov Sidorov, I am American and I believe I speak for the majority of Americans when I say we don't want any wars with Russia or anyone. We are tired of wars, we just want peace. The government keeps creating propaganda. I pray our world will be at peace!
michael henderson , thank you a lot for your words.
We also do not want wars. We do not want to fight with nobody. I like USA, I like many american things... I like George Strait and Wrangler jeans :)
Thank you, Michael again, thank you Americans for the nice country music you gave to the world
Thank you very much for the nice words, people. I have never been in the USA, but I dream to get there. Not on the soviet tank or bear :). It is beautiful country with beautiful history. Unfortunately my english is not so good as I want. So i will try to say that I love America. It gave to the World Mark Twain, Elvis, George Strait and... Wrangler jeans :)
My late wife always said the only man she would leave me for was George:) lol! She was awesome, 15 years gone, but still fresh in my heart. She was a troubadour!
So sorry for your loss. I say the same thing to my husband, he is the only man I would leave him for! Lol! Been a george strait fan all my life!

My daughter favorite song
My dad brought me up on George Strait's music. There's nobody better.
@@MeredithAnne88 They don't call him the King of Country for nothing.
NO, POP COUNTRY SUCKS NO matter what age you are!!
I first heard it on XM a few months ago.
Almost 2025 and this song is still the best
