I had convinced myself years ago that I didn't like the cars from the mid '70s on as much as the older ones but the more time goes on, the more I like them. It's a car that I'd love getting picked up and going somewhere in. Congrats on taking such good care of it. You made a great choice to keep it.
Was my first car in 1983. Almost identical. Had the factory rally’s on it in an off white color with red interior. Loved it. Smooth as silk down the road.
Considering this is a malaise era car, it's a good thing they don't come from the factory like this one did. I'd love for cars to return to this look, instead of the sea of boring nowadays.
Thank you for this video Mr.Kilmer! Awesome '75 Pontiac LeMans Sport Coupe! Mad respect to Mike for keeping this beauty running and so CLEAN. My dad had this car, and it tore his heart when he had to sell it, because we were moving to an island where it had dirt roads, no mechanics, and no access to parts. Thanks for sharing!
That is a beautiful car. I was 16 when that car was made. I wish cars still looked like that and had V8 engines. I also think that it is wonderful you used the original sized 15" Cragar S/S wheels and RWL tires. I've seen thousands of beautiful vintage cars totally ruined by some idiot putting 24" wheels on them, with tires that have 1" sidewalls. I had a lot of trouble even finding a set of 225/70-15 BFG T/A Radials for my 1977 Corvette. A number of tire dealers told me they didn't even make them anymore. It is really sad what has happened to cars these days. Keep that car forever. They are getting almost impossible to find in that condition for anywhere near a reasonable price.
Holy Mackerel! This was my first car! I bought it used and drove it through college and my first few years working after that. Mine had louvered side windows in the back and was painted blue by someone before I got it. Seeing this is like meeting up with an old friend. Thanks for posting!
Not a lot of those GM Colonnade body cars from 1973-1977 left now. A very nice tastefully preserved/restored example. Love the old school Cragar wheels! Nice touch!
OMG that's a beauty , my God that's beautiful , please take good care of it please . And thank you for already taking good care of it all these years and not selling it .
This car is solid like a tank. I remember my first accident. I was driving a Dodge Colt 83 and I was hit by a LeMans driving by an old lady. When the police came for the accident report, the Leman was still so "clean" that the police was unable to find the impact point on this car. They finally choose randomly a spot from the front bumper on the Lemans as the impact point.
bibodude my dad had a 65 Catalina and was hit by a mustang in the passenger side back fender. When the cops showed up they saw a mustang with the driver side fender curled up past the door, and hood bent to hell. Catalina had a smug of yellow paint from the mustang.
My father had an Aqua blue 1975 Pontiac Grand Prix loaded, in Augusta, Georgia. This HERE is a TRUE and HONEST Southern great car guy, I know his engine supplier well.
I had several friends with this kind of car. One even had a Can Am.... with the shaker hood scoop from the TransAm. Nice full frame cars... but the first year of the smog motors with the first catalytic converter installed at the factory. My sister owned a 1975 Chevy Nova SS with the 350 V8 4bbl carb and dual exhaust. Man... that little car would run!
That's INCREDIBLE! I've never seen anybody take care of a LeMans. All the ones around my city are rusted out scrap or smashed to hell and/or blown up and scorched beyond repair!
My brother had this same car. Maroon with white interior with a white landau top. It had the NACA duct hood. Beautiful car. It was the first car I drove.
My folks had a 76 LeMans very similar to this when I was a kid. Same red interior, but we had white with the red pin stripes ext. In 80's my mom thought my dad was nuts when he use to say this car would be collectible one day. He ended up correct.
I had a 75 Pontiac LeMans Sport Coupe for my first car. mine was white with the same color interior and stripe with a burgundy Landau roof. I had to have the heads shaved to get the compression up.
With the engine work and the mods it'll move now MUCH better than when grandpa got it new, hope the smog pump is in the dumper. I'd have put the bumpers back on a MACK truck but OK keeping her stock, nice ride.

76 pontiac lemans was my HS ride back in the late 80's.
My first car was a 74 le mans. Awesome video. Thanks
Very nice car, Im glad he took good car of it. They just don't make it, like they use to.
Considering this is a malaise era car, it's a good thing they don't come from the factory like this one did. I'd love for cars to return to this look, instead of the sea of boring nowadays.
Johnny Rivera They can't make them like they used to! We don't have that many steelworkers left!
What a beautiful car!
Beautiful car! The fact that it belonged to your grandfather makes it all the more special. I hope it says in your family.
When made in America still meant something. Love the rear end and that great V8 sound.
Not true we make cars in USA
LOL... yup, made in America like Toyotas and Hondas.
I love the growl of an old school V8 :-)
Not even 1 metric bolt on this baby.

The classics are always the best, love it when they're beautifully maintained and looked after, shame not much classics are treated the same
You’re the man Scotty!!!! I wish I could find a mechanic as honest as you
Gorgeous hunk of American-made beauty! Thank you for keeping this prize in your FAMILY!

I bought new a 73’ Lemans Gransport. Red metallic with the same red interior. Great car! Thanks for the memories

Great car. I always liked that body style, especially the 73 grand am sd-455.
that car is a beauty
My first car was a 74 Pontiac lemans sport coupe. I loved it!

Oh man, this is so awesome, your grandpa would be so proud of you!
My friend's brother had the same exact car. That baby was a total beast.
Nice car I had the Buick equivalent of this 1975 Buick Regal. These are harder and harder to find they are rare.
Only 71K more subscribers to a million!!
Its nice to see a Lemans that someone did not try to turn into a GTO Judge Clone. So clean!

I absolutely love that car. I want it.

Thanks for sharing and keeping it in the family 👍
Wheels a car truly looks good in!
Not some trashy 24 inches of shame rims I see on classy cars that’s embarrassing!
Carlos C. Thanks for the recommendation. I been thinking about looking for a 72 Nova, gonna put 24" rims on it :)
Master K THAT'S AUTOMOTIVE HERESY!
Get with the times ....
Nameless User yeah and those low profiles will go, “POP” on 24’ rims if they hit a semi deep or semi high bump above 45 mph or higher.
24 inches rims are mazafaka rims.
The owner of this car did a good job giving us info and doing the walkaround
That thing is sick! Gorgeous flowing body lines! Very nice.
Always nice to go back in time. I was only 3.

Hey Scotty, you make my day with this beautiful, amazing, remarkable Pontiac Le Mans Coupe supercar!!! Many thanks, indeed!!!
My brother had this same car. Maroon with white interior with a white landau top. It had the NACA duct hood. Beautiful car. It was the first car I drove.

I had a 75 Pontiac LeMans Sport Coupe for my first car. mine was white with the same color interior and stripe with a burgundy Landau roof. I had to have the heads shaved to get the compression up.
Not much into American stuff but this is a beautiful car and quite tastefully done. Fine work!
Sounds fantastic, great car.
Nothing like the sound of good ol muscle!
Smokeyy Bacon By 1975 the Muscle car world was dead and they continued to be market as a luxury car as the Muscle car world had faded.
Awesome car , awesome history

With the engine work and the mods it'll move now MUCH better than when grandpa got it new, hope the smog pump is in the dumper. I'd have put the bumpers back on a MACK truck but OK keeping her stock, nice ride.
