- This video walks you through the installation process of the PRO Design TRM Style Spoiler on a 2017+ 10th Gen Civic Hatchback. The process is identical for all trim levels, from the base models to Sport Tourings.
Rudy shows us step by step how you can perform this upgrade, which is something of moderate difficulty but can be done with common tools. The key to this install will be to have the proper tools, which are very basic and easy to use for this install. It's a great mod that will add appeal to any build, and will make your car standout from the rest.
The TRM Style Spoiler is made from a strong ABS plastic, and gives a track-ready look. This spoiler does come unpainted, but includes templates and foam padding along with all the hardware necessary for a complete install.

That wobble at 5:53 is real. I'm afraid it would have crazy flexing on the highway

You'll still get the downforce benefit because at high speed more pressure will be put on the spoiler to flex downward as much as it can, and then it will transmit the extra force to the chassis through the side pillars.
If Honda wanted near zero flex they would have designed the factory wing differently, maybe with a center pillar (but then that would obstruct the driver's rear view).

I saw it also...it is mainly because they don't use the pre drilled factory holes on the inside of the trunk lid...they should have use longer bolts to mount the spoiler to the trunk.

Why not use the smaller factory drilled holes on the brace of the hatchback? Is the spoiler smaller and won't fit on the original mounting holes?
My bracket on the right side have a crack. Do you guys have a stronger piece bracket? and if I’m going to replace it, can I just take the 6 screws on the right side and put on the new one? Or I would have to re-install the whole wing?

Came with a template. No drilling on the spoiler it self only on the hatchback of the car. No freeken instructions

You dont recommend that there should be weather stripping between the components or between the spoiler and the car? (wheres the part number that was supposed to be in the comments?)

It’s already bouncing around and flexing at 5:53 with hardly any force. Can this really provide downforce at higher speeds if it flexes that much?

Just received my spoiler, I wanted to test fit the spoiler before painting it, but the screws that come with the spoiler are too short.
I’ll either sand down the parts closest to the holes or just get longer screws.

xtariz dranix You’d have to go into a shop & have them paint it the exact color of your car.
The wings come unpainted. You will have to have it painted to your specific color on arrival.
I hope you know that Perl is ridiculously expensive it's a tricoat paint I'm getting mine gloss black to match my black trim

Don King Honda sells the type r lip directly from the factory it’s only 154$ and then whatever tax after so round to like 170$

Wow! Avoid this. It's not a 1:1 replica of a type R spoiler. It doesn't mount in the oem placement. That's 10x more wobble than normal
