  • My Core 140 is approx 18 months old l and still well within warranty.
    The connection between the hose and lance doesn’t engage properly using the retaining mechanism in the lance, therefore when powered I’m the one who gets an early bath and not the subject matter!

    Funnyly enough, you have pushed it so hard that the collar you hold has slipped forward and closed the gap not allowing it to insert and engage. I did it too today and stuck it in a vice or pushed the collar against a post and it went back a bit allowing the click you are looking for.

    There is a fuuny solution for this problem... the metal piece and the plastic piece from the hose are actually not one. and over time the plastic around the metal piece is getting pushed forward for whatever reason the solution grab a pair of pliers with a cloth on the metal part of the hose and pull the plastic part back I know it's ridiculous but it's that simple.

    Same problem
    Just found a solution. The black rubbery part of the hose has been moved. So the rubber does not allow the metal part to fit and click on the lance. You have to use pliers on the metal part to keep the hose steady and use a hummer to hit the plastic base of the rubber part of the hose to move it a bit lower. Thus it will allow for a connection. I will not detach mine ever again.

      Same problem, i did exactly as you suggested and it worked like a charm! Thanks bro, saved me 27 eur for a new G3 (and that would not be the solution to the problem)

    Just had the same problem with me excellent 160 ( not so excellent ) only my second time using the washer. I will have a look at it and see if I can adjust it as you say.

      Might be better to try to reprofile the metal end with a small file to bring back the definition, plugging in and out wears the edges round and that’s when it doesn’t hold under pressure. Since getting my replacement hose I’ve always left it connected and it’s not failed since.

      @@trilogy2k yes I’ve fixed it. If it does it again I can easily sort it, but maybe I will keep it on.

    Hi there... The problem is the connection hose as a ruber that with the time gets to close to the connector. Have to push that rubber down.
    Like that connects smooth.. 👍

    • @trilogy2k
      @trilogy2k  Рік тому +1

      No that's not it. Its physical wear of the chamfered edge of the metal connector. It loses its profile over time and becomes rounded.

    just had the exact same issue, bought another trigger too! :( , anyway once the root casue was diagnosed as the hose connection length it has all been downhill from there although the hosing looked to be very unmoveable. I put the hose-end in very HOT water for a few minutes [to soften it] then I held the hose end connector in a vice and hit hose collar 2-3 times with a rubber mallet and it moved back immediately and now it works like new again. Good luck with yours, it can be solved :)

    I have disassembled my lance, swore a bit, fiddled with the retaining spring 😡. Fiddled with a lot of the innards before the night mare of reassembly. turns out the blue collar on the hose was the issue. Over time it must shuffle up not allowing the metal bit to fully enter the lance. Trimmed a few mil off with a Stanley and bingo. After resorting my ancient less powerful Karcher to do the backyard earlier this afternoon 😭😭

  • @1970boggy
    @1970boggy 9 місяців тому +1

    OK,
    Get a very sharp knife (Stanley) trim the very top down by 3mm. Be very careful not to slip or cut yourself. Now clips in without issue. #Nilfisk fix this!

    Judging by the way you have responded to other people here, You seem to be that guy who would complain even if you got the solution presented. "No that's not it... Send me new unit!"
    If I ever get a customer like you I would gladly give a 100% refund just to get you out of the system haha. Enjoy stubbie...

    Not good! Any response or resolution to this issues as thinking of purchasing one. Thanks if you can answer

    • @trilogy2k
      @trilogy2k  Рік тому +2

      Yes! If you try to call them for consumer products they only want you to contact them electronically, however I went straight through to the industrial department on the phone menu.
      In their defence once I spoke to them they were helpful, although I was shocked to hear that lances and hoses are classified as consumables and are not covered by the warranty!
      They did however agree to send me both a replacement lance and hose FOC.
      The issue is to do with the chamfered edge on the hose connector. Due to repeated connection and disconnections it gets rounded, and so will get to a point where the water pressure overcomes the mechanical locking mechanism.
      I now just keep the hose connected to the lance when I wind it in after use. So far so good.

    I have the same problem, so I've used the machine twice, it's still brand new! So there's no warranty? Should I get a new hose for it?

    • @trilogy2k
      @trilogy2k  Рік тому

      The machine has warranty, however the lance and hose do not!
      I would call them and make an official complaint. I did and they sent me a replacement hose.
      It's a design flaw, where the connection/release mechanism causes undue wear on the end of the hose flange, therefore they are still liable.
      I now leave my hose connected to the lance, I'm hoping this now solves the issue.

    I have the exact same problem. I bought an extra, and I used it one to test it, and didn't use it for the winter and now it also doesn't work. I feel scammed. And as a Dane with a renowned Danish brand, I feel deeply ashamed and I am angry. This is NOT up to standard.

      Same issue here, machine is less than 2 years old but apparently the lance and the hose are "consumables" so only covered for 6 months by warranty.
      Spent over £200 on a Nilfisk system only to be made feel like a mug as it's developed this fault with less than 15 instances of use over 2 year period.

    • @trilogy2k
      @trilogy2k  Рік тому

      They should replace it after you call them. It's a design flaw so their "consumables warranty" is moot. Leave the replacement connected and you should be ok 👍
