I’m excited about the waft! Wanting that on the next walkie talkie Wednesday please! 🙏🏻 The Midland Alan 42 is very similar in design to my old Radio Shack TRC-1014 & takes the same battery pack. I love walkie talkie Wednesday!
Interesting Walkie Talkie Richard - have you ever seen the Midland 95 plus? I used to have one of those back in the day, and hope you can do a video soon? On the other hand looking forward to the on the air test with Mr C!
I'm not sure. I'm still using a big Realistic TRC1001 or 1005 with the external mike plugged in. To use this mobile you would need an external mike as using a 'mike' with a display & lots of buttons is a police grey area, whereas a plain mike is no problem "when safe to do so". We are looking at the TTI TCB-H100 next week & I have a Moonraker 42 on order which may follow that. richard
I have had one of these for the past 10 years, working well, I use it at my summer house at the weekend here in Finland, work ok to home base from small boat on the lake, in the car with mag Mount it has about 7km, on a forest area road 56Ct004
@@ukfmcbradioservicingTango21 Finland as of 1st have now said no radio use wile the car is in in drive, but at traffic lights you can, or when you stop going forward, and mobile phone are allso allowed to be used if you are at traffic lights, I think this will be bad out come, more shunting bumbs at the lights.
It's not a rechargeable set as it comes. It's either 6 x alkaline or 6 x rechargeable & the charge rate will be whatever the chosen batteries & charger state. If you want a copy of the instruction book I'd happily email it to you. rshireby@yahoo.co.uk

@@ukfmcbradioservicingTango21 Great GOT IT! Thank you 🙏. Very much appreciated. New to check & radio trying to learn all I can. Quick question. A Tristar 777 (clean no messed with) is that worth £125 or too high. Many thx
£5 is too high for a Tristar 777. For starters it's an illegal radio. It's even illegal to own one in the UK, let alone use it. Remember there are 40 UK FM only channels 27.60125 to 27.99125, then there are 40 CEPT channels that may be used in AM, FM & SSB, 26.965 to 27.405. The Tristar 777 is a Cybernet made 120 channel 'export' radio & any in the UK have been smuggled here. They were made in 1980 & are a bleedover box. Richard, G0OJF, UK
Im so gratefull that you are providing these videos. Its a great reference and information archive for CB enthusiasts. keep up the great work Richard

Witch one turns up power output
If manual says 4W and 1W then why do they become 3W and 0.6W ? Or are 4W and 1W understood as max power consumption from the batteries?
I think it's sales B/S. Most 4W handhelds are 3.5W.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the bleep sound every time a button is pressed?
I've looked through gthe instructions & can see no mention of it.

Put your thumb over the speaker is what I do 😄

I don't like that version. I liked the other one better. Even though it was a bit to high in power.
what other version?
