Great video! The name Memory, Sorrow, & Thorn make the covers make more sense! I always love a good magical sword in my fantasy. I am very much hoping to get into Tad Williams at some point within the next two years, and I’m not afraid of a slow burn experience if it’s a good one. Great prose, world-building, fun characters, clever plot-what’s not to love?
Thanks for your review! I appreciate the way you describe things of interest without spoiling things at all. These books have been on my tbr for quite some time, but I think I might finally pick these up after my current read.
This is one of my favorite series for all those reasons and feel it is much underappreciated on booktube. Glad to find others who also enjoy this series! I love how intricate the world is.The pacing is slower but I don't think it detracts from the story. Someof my favorite parts are when Simon wandering beneath the Hayholt. TW really brings those parts alive.
I read this trilogy to completion about 20 years ago and to this day it still remains my favorite Fantasy series of all time (and yes, I have read LOTR).
Team Qantaqa! 🐺 Binabik is the best! Thank-you for being so inclusive - on behalf of the Shouldn'ts, we appreciate it 😂 While not for everyone, credit where credit is due - MST is an impressive work! Are those swords in MST order on the covers? They look pretty cool. I did not know MST were swords going in and it was a fun light bulb moment when I realized it, lol
I don't think I've come across a series so deeply respected, so deserving of its reputation and legendary status yet so underrated at the same time. How the f**k is that even possible? Admittedly I'm saying this with half of TGAT still to go.
It truly is such an amazing and influential series! It's one of my all time favorites for sure! I think a lot of people who primarily read modern fantasy just find the books too slow these days, but they certainly are a treat for those willing to be patient!
After reading LoTRs as a teen I wanted to read something like it and pick up a mass paperback of the Dragon Bone Chair. For some reason I put it down and never got to reading it.
Love hearing other people pronounce these names...Dre-er-noth....oppose to my caveman brain saying Dur-nooth everytime he appears. *Spoilers in an old book* RIP sweet knight
Lol, yeah my brain usually just decides on a pronunciation the first time I read a name and sticks with it. I've found out later I was pronouncing names wrong a lot!
I hope it's better than WoT because i gave up on that one after the first book because it was so slow, boring and with nothing happening + horrible characters!

Yes! I definitely should have mentioned the swords sooner lol. But yeah I'm in the same boat, this was just excellent for me all around!

Thank you! I try to make my WYSR very in depth while vague enough not to spoil! I really hope you enjoy the books! I loved the series!
One of my favorite reads this year. Good job on the video!
Loved it!
Read Tad’s War of the Flowers 10 years ago and it was great! He is one wordsmith that I am okay with due to his fluid prose. Definitely a staple.
I definitely will be checking out more of his work, MST was the first thing I read by him!

Yeah I absolutely love this series! Remains one of my favorites and I've been very happy to get more people to try it!
Thanks for the book review!! Happy weekend reading to you! 🎬📖❄️☃️🍁
I have a backorder for these, just waiting to get them in stock.
Hope you enjoy them as much as I did!
Starting MST this year. Found this helpful, thanks.
Glad it helped!
Great Vidya my friend! Def totes the next classic series I will be tackling after WoT so sometime in 2023? Lol
It's really easy to fill up the ol' TBR schedule lol

It's definitely in my list of top all time series as well!

I always try to include info for the Shouldn'ts lol! Yeah they are in order, it didn't click for me for a while as well!

I'll be starting this in 2022. 😊
Nice!

Definitely recommend it! For some reason I never read it until recently and wish I would have picked it up years ago!

WoT is an all time favorite, but this does definitely develop quite differently, but it does certainly take it's time at first
@@nikosbookreviews Thank you! I will give this one a go!😀
