I'd like to see keyboard rift off between hens vs. The following people- Michael Pinnella from Symphony X, Joust An den Broek fro a host of Arjen Anthony Lucassen projects, maybe the guy whose the keyboardist for Firewind, of course Jon Lord if he was still alive, Derek Sherinian, and at least 6 others

To think he started with Yngwie Malmsteen to Stratovarius fucking amazing. Just think what wouldve happened if Dream Theater took Jens instead of Derek Sherinian? He auditioned but didnt get the part for DT. Didnt Jens also do the Key solos for Sonata Arctica's "Blank File"?
@CavemanJesus4Life jens was there second choice actually when Jordan was too busy with The Dregs, Jens was too busy to accept however so they picked sherinian instead. Portnoy wanted Jens to be in LTE actually, he wanted Sheehan on bass originally as well too. None of them had time to join that band at the point even though they were interested.
@CavemanJesus4Life Yes, Dimebad turned MP down straight away though. It wasn´t his kind of music and he would propably not fit in either. Steve Morse said no as well due to lack of time. Steve Vai was MP:s first choice for guitarist I believe but he quickly realised that Vai would never be interested in joining any band these days.

I've seen live Jens, Jon, Jordan and Jon (sorry Don). I like them all, but Jens is the most likeable.
