Thank you all for watching! If you would like to watch the different pens being turned the time are: 0:57 blue acrylic and pine cones 4:14 blue acrylic and elm 6:33 green acrylic and beech burl 8:40 red acrylic and elm all the pens are assembled at the end plus loads of close up pictures of each pen. let me know in the comments which was your favorite and I'll make some more!
Hi James. I asked in your part 1video if you had a video of the finished blanks into pens. I have just watched it and love every one of them, but my first choice is still the pine cone pen. Well done mate.
Thanks Dave! I'm glad you found them and liked them! It was a nice pen when it was turned, the pine cones look so amazing close up cast in the resin, please let me know if you have a go! thanks for watching! 😁
James, yes my big fingers on small keyboard just does not work. 😀. Would help if I could spell. I suppose it is hard to accept the carbide tools as real “turning tools”. I use scalers etc in my boxes but love my roughing gouge for my pens. 🤪😜
Hi James lovely couple of videos mate awesome looking pens please can you tell me where I may find a pressure pot your one looked just about the size I need Happy new year too stay safe Clive in Nottingham 👍👍👍
Thank you for the feedback, I feel more comfortable without talking, that's why I'm using a new software to capture the sound of the machines on the video now
Thank you! I use a medium CA glue which I get from here www.starbond.com?rfsn=2605435.216dcf I put on 7 thin coats which with an activator go on in a few minutes and is rock hard and isn't affected by oil on your hands 😁
Thank you! The first reason is that I don't have any 🤣, I've never had a problem with the bushings sticking to the blank, I try not to put any CA glue on the blank but you do get some on there, if you watch me take the bushings off you can just snap off the bushing from the blank using the threaded bit of the pen mandrel.
Hi, yes I do make fountain pens, I have just sold them all on my etsy store, what sort of thing were you thinking? Wood and resin fountain pen or just wood?
My wooden fountain pens start at £65 , if you have seen my celtic knot video I can do something similar and work out what you would like, please send me an email via my website and we can get something sorted out for you 😁👍🏻
I have found your video accidentally. You are really skilled artist but for me personally is important where to buy this size "pressure pot". I'm food technologist (retired) and have plenty of time to make home canning job. Best regards.
billy19461 yes I did, I usually finish my pens with as little as 5 coats up to 10 coats of medium CA glue depending on how they go on, thank you for watching!

All the pens are excellent, the blue one with the pine cone however is STUNNING.......
Thank you, I've got to cast some more for some orders now, there will be some on my esty shop soon 😁
The blue pen seems le stylo de roi du soleil, the pine forms a sun in French style, great!
UA-cam needs more creators like you
AnonAlpha thank you very much, there is a new video nearly finished making a oak sideboard, thanks for subscribing!

Good job,they look great👍👍
Mark Stevens thank you Mark and thank you for the sub! :)
Nicely done. Grea5 to see someone using a really gouge instead of carbide scrapers
Thanks Andy, Do you mean my chisel? It's more fun with the gouge instead of a boring carbide bit ;)

@@andysmylie1184 I've never tried one if I'm honest butbi have thought about making one, maybe a future video lol 😁
Beautiful pens! May I know what did you add after adding CA glue?

Beautiful pens thanks for sharing :-)
Highlandboxes thank you pam, I gave up trying to talk over this one, it took as long to edit the video as to record the audio!
Was testing out the same today for this weeks video but think its going to take a bit to get used to. I liked just watching you with music :-)

Great Job👌👏✨

I’d like to purchase one of the pine cone pens, but wonder if you can make it a fountain pen.
Hey Thomas, I saw your message on Facebook and I've sent you a reply 😁
Is one of the blue pens also a stylus? I am curious if those work well on screens.
nice work...
Thank you wade! It's nice to get positive feedback 😁
Great video. I notice you don't use non stick bushings, any reason why?
Thank you! What coating are you applying at 3:18?
Do you also make fountain pens? Looked on Etsy couldn’t find one
Hi, yes I do make fountain pens, I have just sold them all on my etsy store, what sort of thing were you thinking? Wood and resin fountain pen or just wood?
James Garwood I liked the segmented wood fountain pens. Doesn’t need to be so many pieces. Wat do they normally cost?
My wooden fountain pens start at £65 , if you have seen my celtic knot video I can do something similar and work out what you would like, please send me an email via my website and we can get something sorted out for you 😁👍🏻

Glad you found me! I think it's a 16 litre pressure pot, it was a paint pressure pot and I converted it for resin
Is the cloth you use to apply the adhesive a rag?
Just a white kitchen roll :)
Thank you! That's helpful. Not many people in Japan do this, so I'll ask again!
Did you finish with CA glue?
billy19461 yes I did, I usually finish my pens with as little as 5 coats up to 10 coats of medium CA glue depending on how they go on, thank you for watching!
Only good
