My father worked for the airlines his entire life and turned his kids on to airplanes. We all remember watching planes land at MIA. My brother, my nephew and one of my closest friends are commercial pilots. I occasionally fly with them out of TMB or SFB. Your videos are making me want to learn to become a licensed private pilot. I love the flying content and that you share just a little of your personal life. Thank you. You’re helping to show GA in a positive light.
Geee Whiz, you sure are getting good at this video stuff! Not too much, not too little. Love the run up checklist. Yes, way more Nevada desert here in the north. Great idea. Played the dang guitar for 60 years. would not mind contributing music for your channel. Great landings by the way!!! Keep up all your great and hard work to bring us great content.
Your videos are very well done. Thanks for sharing your flying adventures with us. Certainly, Garmin is gonna buy you a new panel soon if you keep up the good work! LOL
Good trip out and back Hayley. Thanks for going through the checklists, I only can fly a simulator but find the procedures you follow very helpful. Big Yes to your doing a series! How about carrying a lightweight folding bike for occasions when there is need to walk a distance from your landing site? Recommend get one with derailleur gears for any hills...
Hayley - thanks for the tour of Nevada - I just recently moved to Nevada and live off the eastern side of 209 - I keep thinking I'm going to see you take off or land (I have a view of the north side of the airport). It's great to see your flights around the area.
If you would like to bring in the golfers, fly fishers and the gamblers, you could do a never ending series of videos in Northern Nevada and Southern Idaho. I would begin with a trip to Jackpot, Nevada. There are plenty of great side trips while at their airport. Casinos, golf and fine dining and entertainments plus so much more. Many side trips to places like Jarbidge gold mining town, Twin Falls, and Sun Valley Idaho are nearby and famous in their own ways. Boise, Idaho is another destination. The Hagerman Valley wine vineyards are another great adventure.
Great Video Hayley!! Awesome scenery and landings! Always look forward to your next adventure! Keep them coming! Until the next one "Clear" lol Cheers from Dave from Ontario, Canada😊😅
Nice video sowing off one of the hidden gems of the eastern Sierras! Been there a few times back in the day. Our go-to hot spring was just south of Herlong, along the railroad tracks.
I learned to fly at AG Aviation Academy, Reno-Stead Airport. My cross country flights took me over this terrain to Bishop and Las Vegas. Beautiful flight. Great memories.
Hayley what a treat to see those Eastern Sierra through the seasons. You're livin' right exploring all those hidden gems! Jeffery Mine is another hidden gem. Hiked it years ago. Bishop would be closest and of course, Schat's. 😋
My old stomping grounds back in the day. I spent time up the road at the Marine Corps Mountain warfare Training Center. To this day, I miss the high desert. Beautiful part of the country
Cool video! BTW, sure you know Bridgeport is in California, not Nevada. Last time I was at Travertine they were lukewarm, but you're correct, tons of hot springs in Nevada. One question if you don't mind. Not to set off the usual controversy about pattern entries when coming from the opposite side of the airport, but you reported to the NE and entering on the left downwind runway 34. (downwind is opposite side of the airport from where you are approaching) Did you cross over to the west side of the airport a bit north of the airport? What were you saying about midfield downwind? Next time try Mammoth, MMH, many hot springs near there!
Hello Hayley Herberg, So happy to meet you. I wish, I could fly with you to Hotsprings in North Nevada. I like your magnificent flight driving Hayley over the mountains to Hotsprings. I love watching all your exciting flying videos Hayley.
Looked like a beautiful day to fly but what day isn’t right. Hot springs would be awesome considering we have a foot of snow and temps below 20. Yes think it’s a great ideal to show more exploring videos of Nevada. Anytime you need a retired fireman to fly with you I am here 😂 Stay safe
Very Nice, I've flown into Bridgeport a few times as well. Density altitude is a definite factor there for sure. Seems like I always got a better look at the weeds at the departure end of that runway than I would have liked.
When u was in college years and years ago I would help my pal was his Debonair just so I could get a ride in it to dry it…. So fun and such a beautiful airplane.
Great video, nice airplane! How does it do in the summer months with hot-and-high performance. I did weight and balance for my airline in RNO, and in he summer some airplanes took major performance hits (MD80, and non power-packed A321s). Had to leave behind many passengers many times or plan a fuel stop in SLC or DEN.
During your run-up, why was the Prop control so hard to actuate? Maybe I missed something in another video, but Please get that checked. Love your videos! ❤
It appears that you fly a continuous (ie: shallow) bank all the way from downwind to final. I do the same...much safer and smoother. A square (ie: higher bank angle) base to final never made sense to me. Great video and great airplane!!
I was wondering how you got from the plane to the hot spring, then you mentioned that you walked. Do you ever take a bicycle or electric scooter with you in the plane?
Beautiful girl great plane. I think you need a tall cowboy in your life. I would love to see you upgrade your plane. New carbon fiber panel all Garmin glass. New custom leather interior with some high back seats. Upgrade the engine to a new 300 - 325 hp FI engine. Carbon four blade prop. A new modern paint scheme. This would be a fitting plane for such a beautiful girl. Or maybe a new LX7 instead? Looking forward to you showing Nevada to all of us. Have you considered Idaho as well? Would love to know more about your future plans. Career and so on as well.
I really don't get the "Clear prop"! thing. People who don't fly private planes aren't going to know what "Clear prop" means, if they even hear you. I think "Look out!" or "Get out of the way, Bozo"! would make more sense. Also, if you had a float plane you could've just landed in that Hot Spring.
It’s part of the training to say clear. I’m glad Hayley is well trained and follows the checklist instead of leaving things out. Additionally, I don’t think it’s legal to land your floatplane in a hot spring but I could be wrong. Got a copy of the FARs so we can check?
It's a dumb training formality that people think is needed when there's not a soul around. Part of pre-flight is knowing what's around your aircraft. If no one is around, I'm not yelling "clear prop". 🤭

I would love it if you did more exploring Nevada vlogs. I always love seeing the little known towns and stories of other states and countries. 😊👍🏼❤️
Yes please, more of Nevada.
Beautiful winter weather and scenery.
Awesome flight! Thanks for sharing!!!
I love your idea of showing us the natural beauty that surrounds you! Thanks for taking me along on this adventure 🤗
Great video as usual great editing. so many beautiful places to enjoy around your neighborhood, a hop skip and a flight. Safe travels
What a cool little trip. You definitely have a beautiful playground in your back yard
Nice travel log of Travertine Hot Springs! 😁 I think you have a great idea about touring Nevada! 🤩😍😘😁 All the best to you Hayley! 😁
Beautiful day to fly. Lovely to see some "small town America" too. It's nice these places still exist.
Your videos are very well done. Thanks for sharing your flying adventures with us. Certainly, Garmin is gonna buy you a new panel soon if you keep up the good work! LOL

Love these vids!! Thanks for taking us flying!! You need to bring Debi to southern nv👍😊
Nice springs...
Great short flight...
Thx

Please do a desert series that would be amazing!
Bridgeport is such a cool place. I have been helping a friend there that built a house. Looking forward to visiting again! Thanks for taking us along!

Fun. Reminded me of the times my brother would fly us around. More videos on exploration would be great.

Nice Debonair! Collins radio gear, too! I used to work for Collins years ago...
One beauty in a plane too
Who Neva flies over my place wagging her wings
Well I subscribed, lets see the landscape out west.. Tempt me into moving out of the Midwest lol!
Places to see would be interesting but don’t forget the flying, that is why I follow your channel.
Nice videos. Good practice of checklist use. How thorough do you examine the elevator trim tab for proper operation? Great looking aircraft.
Good morning from Minnesota! Fun episode 😊

Nice video Hayley, Bridgeport great little town and I always stop at the Burger Barn when passing through, Carne Asada fries and burgers there 👍👍
My hometown Hayley. Thank you.

Very cool exploring 🌎
Childhood friends moved to Bridgeport and we were like "What's in Bridgeport?!!" Now we know. Thanks, I want to fly there now.😊
Bridgeport has some hidden gems! So glad you enjoyed the video!

thankyou!! 😊

Great videos, I enjoy them. Call it Hayley’s Discoveries
Except... Bridgeport/Travertine is in CA, not NV 😉
Love that area! We’re from Sacramento but frequent Minden, Johnson Lane, Yerington. Beautiful country.
another nice video THANKS
Make a video of the chicken strip and the hot springs in saline valley. Your bonanza would be okay there. Juan Brown did a video in his husky.
That was my favorite blanco video
Chicken Strip could be a little sketchy in the Debonair, imo
Hayley flying by herself and suddenly there are a bunch of other peeps who show up. How'd that happen? Were they hiding in the plane?
😂 I actually did this flight twice! Once to focus on filming in flight and again to focus on the hotspring
No $100 hamburger (or was there?), but a fun little flight!
BTW, are you going to keep the throwover yoke when you update the panel?

So Nice está bonita perfecta 💕😻 orgullosa welcome to Photoshop bonita perfecta 💓😻😗 saludar thank you so much 😊❤❤ 1:19
10:06. you're welcome
I wonder if bears ever lounge in hot springs.
They don't need a suit 🙂
Nice flying and video. If you’re related to an old Marine Phrog (CH 46) driver, give Dick a howdy from an old Belle Chasse Marine.
