- Planning a trip to Rwanda? You might want to include a Gisenyi on your itinerary! It is a city boarding Lake Kivu, in the Rubavu provice. In this video I show you how to spend 2 days (48h) in Gisenyi, Rwanda. I finally get to swim in Lake Kivu, and try o it the Mashyuza hot springs - one of the best experiences of my life!

Yacu, Iwacu is the slogan of Primus beer. Meaning: Yacu (our[beer]) Iwacu (home[made locally]). It's like a slingue meaning: Our beer made in Rwanda.

"Yacu Iwacu" means "Ours at home". In other words "(something) of us at our place".
That's a slogan for the beer being advertized.

Thank you for sharing this. I will be visiting Rwanda next week, and had been contemplating making Gisenyi my base for two nights while exploring Volcanos National Park. It appears to be a beautiful city with lots to see. This will be my very first trip to the African continent so I'm very much looking forward to it. 🙂

Seeing as it's an ad for beer, the proper phrase would be "Inzoga Yacu, Iwacu."
Translation: Our beer, in our home (country).
Such a phrase would be in a similar vain as the American clothing brand FUBU (For us, By us)

Here is an advice for you. Show places more than you show your face. Cut down on the talking...let people see and make up their own minds.

There are videos without face and without talking, you can go and watch those 😊 I try to give a personal experience to my audience. The videos will remain the same style.
