No you can see that it was already broken at exactly 2:34. It's bent pretty clearly there. He was being pretty damn rough with it. I also thought he broke it himself at first. But it was definitely broken out of the box. The cardboard that was taped to it was also bent exactly where it was cracked.

Guys, he didn't break this, he would have felt it break if he did, possibly even heard it snap a bit. When something is already bent, it tends to bend even easier afterwards (like when you sprang your ankle,) which is what you are seeing at 2:52.
