Actually people can get sick from too warm, or overheating when they dress for outside then go inside for too long - you start sweating. And when you go back outside you are now cold and damp. Hi, for someone landing during peak winters (around -30°c).. Could you please suggest if the winter coat and gloves from Decathlon can work as it is available outside Canada as well and purchasing in Canada on landing in winters might not be possible?
I recommend that you invest in a good winter parka ( A branded one). It will last forever. I have been using one for 7 years. It is in very good condition just like newly bought. I dont feel like 6 to 7 yrs have run ehen i look at the coat. The coat has no damages. I use dry cleaning. I bought it for 700 to 800 USD. So, i recommend buying a expensive good one. Its worth the spending
Yes, but we would not recommend it for hygienic purposes. Ideally you want to at least have a moisture wicking layer between your body( and arms) and the coat. The thing is if you end up sweating a lot; you’d have to wash your coat more often - it is easier to wash a thin sleeved shirt than a whole jacket. Hope this helps

It's unnecessary, its not THAT cold and you won't be exposed to such low temperatures for long times 😊
@@MakeThatChange I would be coming from a tropical country where I already feel a bit uncomfortable in 24deg celsius. With a bit more cold, I already feel some headache and sneezing. Im thinking heated clothings would help but also worried about if it's manageable to always wear one, or would I be jeopardizing my own body in its process of acclimization or if there are any dangers in using them that I didn't know of. Btw, thank you so much for an excellent video. All your content are top-notch too! 👌🏻
@@pamilyasoriano2015as a Canadian it’s not that serious & if it does get that serious the news tells you to stay inside
What do you think about arcteryx?
Great brand, if you can afford it. Will last years!
I’m just curious- if you wear a shorter down parka and ski pants with down insulation, will that keep you as warm ( generally) as a long down coat?
That will definitely work and give a snowboarder look 😊
Hi, for someone landing during peak winters (around -30°c).. Could you please suggest if the winter coat and gloves from Decathlon can work as it is available outside Canada as well and purchasing in Canada on landing in winters might not be possible?
Yes, winter clothes from Decathlon will work, you can check temperature ratings with shop assistants
Hi, is it possible to drive a bike at -30°
Yes, if you have the right gear - winter tires and warm wind proof clothes for instance
Is it possible to wear a short sleeved under a wsrm winter coat?
Yes, but we would not recommend it for hygienic purposes. Ideally you want to at least have a moisture wicking layer between your body( and arms) and the coat. The thing is if you end up sweating a lot; you’d have to wash your coat more often - it is easier to wash a thin sleeved shirt than a whole jacket. Hope this helps

Winter is not a problem for people who migrate to Canada to get out of misery in their counties.
Winter is also not a problem if you enjoy it or can buy a ticket to central or south America or Carribean to spend winter there 😊
