My main concern is the insidious combination high inflation and static income tax thresholds. Although my wife and i have had payrises, we're now paying more tax on our earning and paying out more for the same good and service. We're left with less and less disposable income each month to invest
Cost of heating. The way I've been heating myself to avoid putting the heating on for any real length of time. First winter as a home owner & I don't know how much to expect to pay
If we look at interest rates over the last 20-30 years, 5 is not actually that high. Its just most of our generation who got on the property ladder around 10 years ago have had it very easy. None of us really listened when the advisor said they could go to a certain level. Time for me to get overpaying my mortgage ASAP. Love the channel.
Better returns on investments are my concerns at this time of the year, high interest rates have not morphed into higher interest rates on savings. However, I can’t complain as I remain optimistic and grateful!! Thanks Ken & Mary!
Thank you for your reply I will be more specific even with the falling prices of property worried about our finances as repayments will be way higher than what we pay currently while renting probably twice as much it appears it will be stretching our budget way beyond our means @Thehumblepenny
I'm still a sucker for negative news, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about all the wars going on at this time and the effect it could have on the stock market going forward. Peace in the middle east! 🙏🏾
Mortgage about to jump from 1.9% to 5.9% in January, locked in the rate back in the summer but really hoping our lender can come down to 4-5% in January 🙏

It's criminal what's going on. It's silent robbery.

Fully understand this.

That's exactly the attitude 👍🏾
As a couple trying to get on the property ladder worried about affordability with high interest rates at the moment .
Yes, but can you buy slightly cheaper whilst property prices are falling? If so, you'll be better off long term as you'll borrow less to start with.

@ThehumblePenny
As a landlord, what concerns me are the impact of mortgages on. our buy to let's.
Understood. Are you doing single or multi lets?
Energy bills
My concern is soon as rates come down…price of property flies up 😄. They need to be held above 4% for a while
They'll be held for quite some time yet.
Matchy matchy 😁

Sadly, wars of all kinds will always be with us.
@@TheHumblePenny sad but true! Keep up the good work! 😊👍🏾
remortgage in Q1
Yes, big concern for a lot of people
Heating bills !

Unlikely for January, however, saying that, it really depends on your LTV. 5% is possible early next year.
