Still have no idea why a coach does not take the 3 points early in the 1st quarter on a 4th and 2 on the 12 yard line? Seems to be an epidemic in both college and the pros!
Quit being dramatic, a two loss season to top 10 teams isn't a down year. Even for a championship program like Bama. Sometimes you just miss the playoffs because great teams make plays. If we were talking about 3-4 losses, with one of them being to an unranked Kentucky or something, then yeah thats a down year. But Bama is on par to go 11-2 right now. I wouldn't exactly call that ''down''.
Wow , it's been a long time since I've seen bama have a terrible year like this. They playing like they never have before. Come on bama , Roll Tide Roll
@@travisn346 by that logic you can also say that they are a few plays away from being a five loss team (Texas, Ole Miss, and TAMU) since we are living in the land of “almost”
@@davidcole2004 there are 2 types of people. Bama should have 4 losses or Bama should be undefeated. Matter of perspective. I see a mediocre team (by Bama standards) who can still compete with anyone. What does that tell me? Bama is a long way from being done for good.
I had to work early this morning but I seen the video of Lane Kiffin on College GameDay and the way he was talking and knowing Ole MISS was 8-1 and could've booked a trip to the SEC TITLE GAME here, and having a really good stud QB in Jackson Dart, and their offense, they got out to such a great start and had a 17-7 lead tht should've been a 21-7 lead, but they settled for a FG and then were driving again and had a decent run up 17-7 and looking to score again and extend their lead and instead the RB coughed up the football just before hitting the ground on a rolling tackle and Alabama turned it into PTS and got within 17-14, and then Ole Miss got the go ahead TD after being tied at 17, and went 24-17 just under midway through the 3rd, and gta give respect to Alabama and their defense who buckled down and didn't allow another score after tht ON THE ROAD, and Bryce Young does wht he does with a couple huge drives, and Alabama wasn't going down. They said fuck tht we ain't losing a 3rd game in Conference and would have been their 3rd loss in 4 games and 2 in a row. So they buckled down when it counted defensively and got the 30-24 win and stayed alive in SEC TITLE game picture giving Ole MISS their 2nd loss and LSU barely beating Arkansas today in a really low scoring game winning just 13-10 and narrowly escaping a upset and tht would have been their 3rd loss and Bama would have taken back over despite LSU head to head win.... so big win for LSU to hang on there and I think it's because of how hard they played last week beating Alabama, but all tht matter is a W so yep yep.... But man.... OLE MISS HAD THIS GAME... 1-2 MORE GOOD DRIVES AND THEY WIN THIS GAME, AND A BETTER DEFENSE DOWN THE STRETCH..... But o well
That face mask, was more than just a face mask penalty. Should have been an ejection. He never tried to let go, and tried to injure the QB of Ole Miss.
@J Ygb Ya you can almost bet this dude never played football or sports. Sometimes you don't know what you're grabbing, you're just trying to get him down, and he kind of ducked into it. And like you said, it happens in a second in the heat of the game. We should ask a lot of these guys to help player safety, but sometimes we expect too much and shit just happens.
Bama doesn't have a defense anymore, and hasn't for a while. Their key to winning in recent years is running up more points than the opposition when the defense does manage a rare stop, but that can kill you pretty quickly if your offense makes any mistakes at all. I remember (uphill both ways) when the SEC is where high powered offenses came to die, and now it seems like everyone is scoring big and just hoping to run up more than the opponent. Maybe it's time to put a bit more focus on defensive strategy and make better use out of all those five star defensive players they (and other college teams) recruit.
Have you ever thought that maybe it’s too much to talent to just completely shut down an offense nowadays like this isn’t the 70s no more teams are going to put up points
I don't think it's so much Bama playing bad its other teams getting better, recruiting better, bear Bryant himself could never dream of the titles Bama has now. Look how long its been since Bama has even had 2 regular season losses.
Bama is playing that bad right now. It's that simple. Wether it's the coordinators and assistants not calling the right plays and/or not developing the players and coming up with the proper schemes that fit the guys they have the best, or it's the players that are not responsive to the coaching, intensity and attention to detail that Nick Saban usually trys to instill in his teams. Imo, it's a little bit of everything right now. They have guys showing up late to team meetings and practices with no consequences, the fourth quarter offseason program has been greatly reduced from 12 weeks to 4, they don't hit in practice anymore, they don't sprint to the next drill, they don't have clearly defined vocal leaders, they are far and away the most undisciplined team Saban has had at Alabama and they have no identity or team chemstry/have not been able to gel because of these aformentioned reasons. Just alot of little things that add up to major problems internally and externally for this program rn and ultimately that's on Saban. I also don't think most people understand the kind of pressure Nick Saban is under being the coach of Alabama whom everyone circles as the game of their year to prepare a year in advance for. It's tough when everyone is gunning for you every game every season. Not even Georgia, Ohio State, or Clemson has had to deal with something like that and for so long now. In closing, Bama clearly has the talent already needed to turn it all around next year but it will be about getting that old school "make the other team quit", obsessive attention to detail/razor focus and an idomitable spirit/sense of urgency to not be denied no matter what that Saban's teams of the past had. If they can get that right and breathe some new blood into the staff by maybe even bringing back some guys from the past at positions like DL coach and DC and bring in someone creative assuming O'Brien leaves at OC and I think we'll see a much closer product to the Bama of old the next few years. If not then I expect next year to be a 3 maybe even 4 loss campaign and Saban to seriously consider retirement.
Coming from a Bama fan: if you think ole miss winning would be an upset you don’t know football, ole miss has just as much equal power as bama and is 2 ranks bending them
Dart's incompetence and also the playcalling cost the ole miss football team victory. All they had to do was to continue to run the ball with Judkins
exactly.
Part of it was Jaxson. Other big thing was Lane not going for a field goal and tying it up.
Ah yes first time? As a Bama fan I've been dealing with that issue all season except it's Bill O'brien for us 🤣

Yeah didn’t make sense the last drive they would’ve been kicking for a tie instead of going for a touchdown to die
because generally, when you play teams like bama, u have to take risks. ur not gonna beat them kicking field goals
Surprised Ole Miss lost this honestly...

How are we ejecting people for targeting but not for ripping a guys helmet off with one of the most atrocious face masks I have ever seen
Because it's Alabama.
because facemask is not an ejectable and it’s a bang bang play where as targeting should never happen if you tackle textbook
A facemask in the mist of a tackle is purposeful that's why.
