Fisheries are lazy, they should be on the water educating people, regards to the new app the photo scan it is useless. It's only good if you have cell phone coverage, we have tried it between the two fishing clubs in Cardwell & Hinchinbrook it won't ID some of the fish.
I'd agree the Qld government fisheries web site is a joke to navigate and understanding of the rules. It has caused a lot of argument's among many fishos 😂😂

It may be a good site but I looked up snapper and fingermark. Both said another name for each species was ‘Red Bream’??? I’m leaning towards a Mexican setting the site up for QLD because they call snapper ‘Reds’.

Fisheries have no authority they have an ABN number so under the corporations Act 2001 clearly states if you provide services for money which they do you cannot administer or create laws and this is also a high court ruling HCA 11 2015 Queensland rail v Allied unions
They're also the only people doing anything about theives and illegal netting. If you don't like fisheries then your part of the problem.
