I’m not an expert but I am learning Korean so I think it must be something to do with the way the R is positioned. But I could be wrong

It's because R in rude is at first position and generally they pronounce ㄹ as l at the starting and ending position. You can take the example of María(Hwasa) in which she actually pronounces R in María as it is not in starting/end position. The pronunciation of ㄹ varies with position. Im not a native speaker but that's what i learned from my observations. I hope that helps
