@@f6-cuy248 Well, it is literally what @MINLEGO said, just put a chest next to the comparator with a hopper below. It doesn't have anything to do with the redstone, it is just that the hopper checks if it can suck items from the chest every tick, which updates to comparator regularly
Using this in my gold farm. Plus ilmango fast unload system plus gnembon fast absorb hopper minecart system into one genius idea. Also you can put the ice road on top of the minecart that is on top. It can absorb the items through a full block. So it's even less adjustment.
Hey @Wroztee ! Question (please reply if you can): I've been trying to tile designs like this, but keep having a problem where the detector rails turn/change orientation when I place them. Like, I'll have the first one built, then start building a second right next to it. When I place the detector rail for the second filter, they want to flip 90 degrees to connect to one another. How do you overcome this? The carts collide if the rails are connected and push each other away. I was thinking of just blocking in on the absolute ends of my filter array, but that seems like a real dangerous and PITA setup. I love the design! I've been playing with HMC filters for a few weeks now, and yours has the most appeal of all the designs I've tried/seen, but I need it to be tileable to really work in my storage. I know this is old... just praying that you see and reply. Cheers!
how on earth do I put them next to eachother, the rails just rotate to face eachother Edit: where the comparaters are place 2 detector rails facing eachother then behind by the ice place the 2 rails and for some reason those rails will face the right way, I truly dont understand it but hey it works
Can you clarify this for me? I want to use this style system in my storage, but I can't get them to tile without the rails looping together. It's driving me nuts and I've almost given up
Is there a way to make it so that even putting just one item in will filter it through like a normal hopper filter? I'm trying to make a key piston door and I want the MINECART to reject items that are not keys as to make it less suspicious if an item is accidently dropped on the block where the minecart is. amazing video tho
The reason the minecart dumps 20 items at least nice is because it takes 20 ticks for the activator rail to turn off. Ilmango has a video on the topic I recommend watching it because he will explain it better then I can
I tried tiling this and I've found that some of my items end up in the chests on either side of the one I expect. It seems the minecarts in the sand are pulling from both sides somehow. [edit] It looks like when placing the next tile of minecarts against the stone fence its very easy to nudge the existing carts slightly which is what happened.
How to applied it in nether? Because cannot use water stream to transport item to item sorted. I dont want to use normal hopper to transport because its too slow. Any ideas?
Yeah, sorting systems in the nether are usually solved just like that.. just pushing items around. I have used that in my latest Skyblock episode, but I haven't explained the concept that much, so I wouldn't really recommend you to watch it for that purpose
Is there any possible way to modify this so it can handle sorting out ender pearls? Trying to make an enderman farm that can dispose of *only* ender pearls, but everything I find is too slow and can't keep up. :p
@@yazzindev Mostly to avoid other people from dropping their swords or anything. I have a few people on my server who have thrown multiple netherite swords into the void on accident.
Yes, you can use ender pearls, but you will need to send more updates to the comparator than what the game normaly does. This can be achieved by placing a chest next to the top-most comparator and a hopper next to it. Then fill all the slots of the hopper with a single item of some nonstackable item and place a single item in the chest above, that is different from the item in the hopper. The thing this does is that the hopper detects that it is not completely full, so it tries to suck items from the chest, however the chest has an item that cannot go in the hopper, because it has all its slots filled with other items. So in turn the hopper does nothing with the item in the chest, the only thing that happens is that the chest gets updated, as the hopper had to look into it, which in turn updates the comparator next to the chest.
I am having a issue with them where there tiled together they the left most one when it reaches the amour it needs to let items throw it also triggers the one next to it and drains the filter items out the hopper Minecraft any idea how to fix ?
In the up-most hopper minecart, did you put the filter items only in the first slot? Because what you are describing should not happen, when you fill the other slots with renamed items. Oh, and also make sure, that you have the item filter design, where you have the top redstone dust three blocks long
Don't let the bottom fill up. When the bottom fills up, the filter gets full enough to send a large enough signal to crosstalk to other filters and cause a collapse.
Well, it depends on what servers. On vanilla servers it should definitely work. But on servers with plugins, it just depends on how your server in particular is set up
I failed on the setting part, when I put the item in the minecart, it will collect item immediately. I'm sure I follow your step, could you provide some advice? Thank you
You need to use different items in the other slots apart from the first ones to prevent this. And if a single filter does not keep up, then you can add multiple

Great design, thanks! :) One thing i noticed is that one of the two carts above the hoppers (between the slab / in the gravity blocks) doesn't actually pull items since one of them pulls the items from the upper minecart in the same speed as the items coming in. To fix this you can add 2 hopper minecarts on the activator rail above the two minecarts instead of just one (which also increases the buffer). Hope it helps someone.
The second minecart is there in case there is a constant fast flow of items. Because then the regular hoppers wouldn't be able to keep up after some time
It was mainly made for Java, but it does work on Bedrock. But on Bedrock it works at half the speed, which still results in 10 items/second, so 4x hopper speed.
Well.. if that is sufficient for what you need, sure.. I will make one, that can go above 15, but it will probably take a few months and it will be bulkier than the 15 one
This design is not working for me, is to fast than the filter is not stop, so I have to change the first minecart with hopper for a simple hopper other wise all the items go throw.
