Just got married at the ancient age of 58! Can't agree to a literal interpretation of the title of this song, BUT - I do love Middle Eastern music (for a long time) and thank shite someone married Metal and Middle Eastern music!!! Incredible result - good fuel for me to continue semi-competitive bicycling (I am not TDF-class but I do manage to kick my own ass and glad I took Judo to help me deal with crashes - 18mph when the rear wheel locked up and I had no after-effects despite being on a highway shoulder!). Anyway enough trivia - anyone know of any kickarse-Greek folk/metal???

Some more Oriental metal bands that are kick ass are Narjahanam, Acrassicauda (just had an album release), Arsames,Seeds of Iblis, and Orphaned Land if you didn't have those lol.

I don't care what religious background you come from, what political system, or what culture. Every society has someone with a lot to say about what's wrong with the world around them. Whether it be poverty, oppression, cruelty, or just their environment, singing about it makes you feel better. Whatever they're singing about, keep rocking! I enjoyed it.

Why aren't more American metal bands playing in Iran? Why aren't more Iranian bands and other Middle Eastern metal bands playing in America? Music, in this case metal music, really does have a tendency to unify cultures, particularly those that are generally considered distrustful of one another. Hopefully my band can play in front of an Iranian audience one day and you guys can rock out to an American audience as well.
