Acrassicauda is an Iraqi thrash metal band formed in 2001. It is often credited as being the first heavy metal group to emerge from Iraq.

I worked with these guy in 2004 in Baghdad they are amazing

I found out about your band when I saw the movie documentary Heavy Metal in Iraq. I have your first album! Only the dead see the end of war. I LOVE IT!!!
A close friend of mine fled from Baghdad...with the stories she told me of the lack of electricity and all, it must've been more a less a miracle that this band was able to rehearse *with* the amps on! Rock on, you guys...you are definitely true ravens of peace:-D
