You have no employment rights what so ever as a clergyman because you are classed as an office holder. This means that Putinesque Bishops ( and sadly, we do have some) can expose you to the most horrific abuses they might choose to. Funny how it is often the liberals who are the most intolerant of conservatives and choose to use illegal methods against them, but that is exactly what happens.

I have recently left the Church of England. The problem isn't that they have gone woke; that is a symptom of the bigger issue. They have abandoned preaching the gospel, meaning that people aren't being told of their sin and their need to repent and turn to Christ. Gafcon are doing good work, as are reformed movements such as the reformed baptists and the Evangelical Connexion of the Free Church of England.
Give me a break, isn't it odd that it is only religious people who want to tell other people how to live their lives as if they have some divine right!
@@roytheboy1963 If we are holding to the Creation Ordinance of man/woman marriage, then we have divine right as a command given to us by God, to hold to His truth. We tell those in the world of God's commands and they may or may not adhere to them. However, in the Church that Christ has established, we must hold to the biblical teachings and not disagree with what God has said, especially on this most clear and critical issue. If you are not in Christ, do as you see fit, but there will be a judgment and it will be based on God's commandments.
Rosemary, it is better to be more specific. The Church of England is probably a lost cause. But the real church that Jesus said he would build is going strong.
The C of E is one Christian denomination out of several. Just because that denomination is weakened, it doesn't mean that the Church as a whole is lost. The Church is the people of God, no matter which denomination they might belong to etc. Other churches are, in many cases, growing and still preaching God's word faithfully.
@@zoecurran4185 actually it does. The Bible says the church will go into apostasy. Jesus and God cast off Israel. Even though there were good individuals in it.

Actually, I would have preferred it if he could have replaced the current Archbishop of Canterbury. But there you are. If they carry on the way they are going, there won't be an Anglican church in England for the current Prince of Wales to be the head of. But, there'll still be a vibrant Church in Africa and the East.
I really love this man because he is very genuine. One point I am not quite sure about is when he is asked if he would go to the Church of Rome. The Universal Church is not called the Church of Rome. It is the Catholic Church whose seat happens to be in Rome because the seat of Peter is situated there, due to historical reasons and events. When he is asked if he would consider joining “that Church” he said he was too English to do that. The Church which Christ instituted Himself, has nothing to do with England or Rome. It is Universal , it is for the whole world. One Church with 23 different Rites but one Head , the Vicar of Christ .
Calvin Robinson presents as a reflective person of great integrity. On the other hand, Alene Foster’s opening barb reflects the DUP’s endemic anti-Catholicism. Whatever their faults, no nationalist politician from Northern Ireland would ever make an equivalent remark.

Good grief!! That's horrendous! Plenty of other churches around, in various denominations, that preach the Gospel. I can't believe a viacr of all people would say that to someone. The people in his congregation could be good folk, but it does make you wary of what a particular church is like. 😐

The one true Church which is the Roman Catholic Church founded by Jesus Christ himself will never flounder as has happened to the Church of England and all other christian denominations. Christ himself said I am with you until the end of time. The Roman Catholic Church throughout its 2000 year history has passed through all types of difficulties but despite this, it is still growing strong all around the earth as Christ himself is actually present in the Eucharist in the Roman Catholic Church. Protestants unfortunately tend to splinter into other more denominations. This is contrary to Christ's will who prayed that we be only one. This also makes missionary activity throughout the world more difficult.
The Eastern Orthodox have a far better claim to being the apostolic church and have always recognised the pope as first among equals. By sticking to scripture and rejecting human infallibility, they avoided the wholesale corruption that has afflicted the roman church. The reformation addressed 500 years of roman corruption, but it continues to the present day. All churches are of course human and therefore sinful, but the Roman church is systemically flawed. The pope isn't God and nor is Mary.
Jesus was an apocalyptic Jewish prophet who was crucified by the Romans who thought he was a subversive. He did not found the Roman Catholic Church. It developed many years after his death.
Organists do it with their pipe organs. Gay vicars in the Church of England get very stimulated as a result. Maybe the organists play Bach's "Air on the G-string" !?
Thank goodness for GAFCON - a place where out-of-touch, head-in-the-sand, arch-conservatives like Calvin can go to mutter darkly with others like himself, whilst the majority of the Church and its faithful ministers can get on with its great mission of engaging with real people in the real world; helping them to overcome the hurdles life presents them with and find their way to God; and fulfilling the great commission to make disciples of all people, and not just "people like us". (Read Gafcon's manifesto. It's oozes smugness.)

Calvin Robinson is such a decent man… he will draw many towards his new church calling…
How is someone ignorant of God, decent, if he cannot defned that God. TOTAL FACEPALM. Hes a nice guy, but NO FUCKING CLUE. I like him because hes nice. even though HES FUCKING IT ALL UP FOR EVERYONE.
Good man
Brave man - a man of conscience.
But not very bright lol
I am a C of E clergyman, sharing similar experiences and opinions to Calvin doing exactly the same thing, except I have served for 39 years in "holy orders". It is easier for me as I do have my pension, now, but while you are "earning" your pension rights, you depend on the system and those controlling it for your house and stipend.
What a firm and brave
comment!
Calvin Robinson is very refreshing to listen to.
Keep strong in faith and wisdom, Calvin. He has a greater plan for you. All the very best to you.
It sounds like Calvin is already doing a ministry, it is with GBNews.
FACEPALM. Then you find out, the Church is your MILITARY occupied by CATHOLICS. Hes doing a Ministry. TOTAL FACEPALM that you lost DEFENCE OF ENGLAND because of it. And youll bow to bankers whim at the WEF because Calvin here hasnt got the BRAINS TO SPEAK OUT PROPERLY.
Standing up for Christ and the Gospel, love it! Keep it up Brother
@@roytheboy1963 What rock have you been living under? Progressive left is doing exactly that.
Are you Catholic now?
Reformed Baptist Here.. We preach and evengelize Christ crucified and forgiveness of Sin in him alone..
Yes Calvin is right, as a Christian I have realised the Church here is a lost cause. 🌹♥️🇬🇧
Seems to have begun when HRH Charles the Woke
declared he was "Defender of Faith."
Everyone should read The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins. It should be on all school curriculums.
@@zoecurran4185 actually it does. The Bible says the church will go into apostasy. Jesus and God cast off Israel. Even though there were good individuals in it.
Not so long ago, they were obsessed with "selfish" people who refused to get jabbed up. That hasn't aged well.
Do you mean like Tiffany Dover?
St. John Henry Newman was the quintessential Englishman and he was one of the greatest Catholic converts.

well spoken Calvin, please keep speaking out, unfortunately our society has been decaying since the 1960s, Universities need to be defunded not the Police. However we are poorer spiritually due to the decline of the Church.
So agree with you!!
Calvin, we are in desperate need of a Vicar here in Golden Bay, New Zealand. Our last Vicar retired nearly a year ago. If only the Anglican Church would ordain you and let you jump on a plane to our beautiful oasis :) Please consider coming?
I am an ex-Anglican in South Africa. "Ex" Anglican because I take my Bible seriously. So glad Calvin decided to join GAFCON. Actually, I would have preferred it if he could have replaced the current Archbishop of Canterbury. But there you are. If they carry on the way they are going, there won't be an Anglican church in England for the current Prince of Wales to be the head of. But, there'll still be a vibrant Church in Africa and the East.
"Too English to be Catholic..."??? England was Catholic for over a thousand years before Henry VIII !

GOD BLESS CALVIN !!!
Good one Calvin. Keep the faith.
I find this discussion very interesting Calvin a very refreshing presence. I am extremely pro EU and quite liberal on some issues yet not an insane woke person that wishes to destroy every foundation the western world was built upon. Keep up the good work guys.
Coming from an area of England where many remained Catholic and recusant despite the Reformation, I realise that even the brightest of us sometimes have a blind spot. Apart from this small point, more power to his elbow.
That’s a mark of honor that they remained Catholic during persecution
Where Oxford? Oxford had a Catholic movement called Oxford movement very conservative Roman Catholics
@@youser1093 the Oxford Movement were very High Anglican, a number such as John Henry Newman did become Catholic. After 20 years away from the C of E, I tried to get involved in my local church again. As the curate and his wife were half a mile away from me, I invited them over to my place and hoped that they enjoyed supper and a chat They seemed to have good time. I wondered if I should go back to the C of E? I got my reply. The vicar emailed me to say (and I quote) "Sammi and Will didn't like you, so that's why you won't get a return invitation" Yes, a deliberate attempt to be cruel and to humiliate a person who had been kind and generous towards his curate and wife. This seemed like an answer to prayer "Dont get involved with the C of E " Many years later the leaders of the C of E insult Calvin Robinson and I was glad that I stayed away for the C of E.
Good grief!! That's horrendous! Plenty of other churches around, in various denominations, that preach the Gospel. I can't believe a viacr of all people would say that to someone. The people in his congregation could be good folk, but it does make you wary of what a particular church is like. 😐
How on earth is that Christian of them. Judgemental and without love. So sad that Christianity is so diminished.
Agreed!!!
I never thought I'd see him bashing the bishops.
GOLD! 😆
Come to the Eastern Orthodox! We haven’t changed for 2000 years!
At Nicaea II you declare that if you dont bow and kiss icons you go to Hell. The Early Church was against the cultic veneration of icons. You changed under the eye gouger Empress Irene using forgeries at that council.
Love the guy, always speaks well on any subject. God Bless him.
They didn't like him raising his head above the 'pulpit' more like 😀
Even as a Muslim named Mohammed, I love listening to Calvin. We have much that unites us than what divides us.
If religion is only about being against gays, then I can see how your Muslim faith and his Christian faith would be in harmony. But if you talked about actual theology, whether Jesus Christ is one God, together with God the father and the holy spirit, I bet you wouldn't come to an agreement.
I agree. I think if there is anything that will bring us all together under God it is a fight against the liberals who are trying to break down and take from us the morals and values of our holy scripture that teaches us the same principles that man and women should sustain. It is what I believe Jesus wanted all along for gentiles and those who believe in different prophets of hold different cultural laws to see we are all children of God.

Too English to be Catholic? Anne Widdecombe left the C of E to become Catholic and she is as English as it gets.
ALL of England was catholic until Henry VIII broke with Rome.
@@christopherfleming7505 Exactly. I'm puzzled why Calvin says he's too English and therefore can't return to the original denomination of England?
England was Catholic from 927 (when it was unified) to 1534- and the predecessor kingdoms were Catholic from 664. That's many more centuries than there have been since Henry VIII set up the C of E. He had had little time for Luther, never mind Calvin- until Thomas Cromwell told him he could have his face on an English Bible, his way with Ann Boleyn and the proceeds of all the monastery selloffs if he just signed this bit of parchment.
Catholicism is the English traditional Faith
God bless you Calvin, honest and speaking the Truth.
These people can change an institution, but no one can change the Laws of God.
The church's reaction to COVID said it all. Closing its doors to people when it's support was most needed said that their faith in God was not that strong
Somehow I dont see the connection but people do and they ruin both church and society in the process. Whats else for institutional racism global warming and climate change.?
The long march through the institutions has ensured they are beyond redemption. The churches should have refused to close during the lockdown.
Especially those awful bishops in the House of Lords who want to take away our free will to decide if we can have dignity when we choose to die!

I admire Calvin! He speaks the truth. God’s word, not our twisted interpretation!
Christ did not found the Catholic Church. It was created by other men long after his death
Go for it Calvin!

Organists do it with their pipe organs. Gay vicars in the Church of England get very stimulated as a result. Maybe the organists play Bach's "Air on the G-string" !?
So correct Calvin 👍
Thank goodness for GAFCON - a place where out-of-touch, head-in-the-sand, arch-conservatives like Calvin can go to mutter darkly with others like himself, whilst the majority of the Church and its faithful ministers can get on with its great mission of engaging with real people in the real world; helping them to overcome the hurdles life presents them with and find their way to God; and fulfilling the great commission to make disciples of all people, and not just "people like us". (Read Gafcon's manifesto. It's oozes smugness.)
