This short film, produced by Sebastian Samek, tells the story of Cynthia, a winner of several ultra-distance races, including the Atlas Mountain Race 2024, Across Andes 2022, and Unbound XL 2022, during her second attempt at the Badlands.
This film not only chronicles Cynthia Carson’s athletic prowess after taking the win at Badlands in 2023 but also dives into the human aspect behind her victories and the life of an ultra endurance cyclist.
Amidst her relentless pursuit of sporting excellence, Cynthia navigated personal turmoil, including a significant breakup and the upheaval of leaving her decade-long home. Through it all, her steadfast companion has remained her bike, a silent witness to her resilience.
Within this captivating 35-minute narrative, viewers are immersed in Cynthia’s world, sharing her reflections, emotions, and the sheer determination that drives her.

agreeeed. Sleep deprivation is definitely not healthy. something I want to try and avoid as much as possible but in the most recent race I wasn't actually able to sleep, even though I was in bed. lots of challenges!

When you say you're alone , how is that when you have a camera guy following you.🤔
98% of the time I am alone. Often I don't even see the videographer! There are a few media teams covering the event and when you're riding 25-30kmph you pass by in seconds. thanks for watching!

Oh by the way the average wage in the region you cycled through in Badlands is about 10,000 euro.
So your setup for that race is about twice the income of many people in that area who are raising a family.
Talk about not reading the room. Are you an entitled American by the way.
