I bought 2 of Dave’s prints from him last year and had the pleasure of meeting in person when I picked them up. It was Tom Penny’s blunt slide at Dwyer that became the Transworld cover, and Heath lipping El Toro that I now have both hanging in my living room. He took the time to tell me the back stories of the photos and what happened the day he took them. Great guy and legend skate photographer.
Just a question.... if you had ...let's say. A terrible experience with him as your boss ..would you tell us he was scum boss and you wished him harm.. or something along those lines... would love to have such a platform to tell truth about a few of my old bosses .. prob wouldn't do it being a pretty positive person mostly. ( unless on drunken litty bender) 😆 either way. Thanks for sharing bud

I had no idea that formed Flip and lead to Penny, Rowley and Rune. That original Deathbox team was special. Loved the Tom and Heath stories.

Hearing the story about Heath [Kirchart] slamming to the ground on the lipslide at El Toro. Reminds me of him slamming on that steep 18 stair rail. I guess he never got it and some other kids landed the lipslide on 18 years later.
