Bought this guitar 6 months ago & I'm so happy with this instrument. I played many guitars in my search & this one, for the price, sounded as good or better than any $1000 big name brand. It has minor flaws, the frets need smoother edges, the pins slip a little after changing strings, but no big deal. This is a great guitar with awesome tone and a sharp look & feel.
This guitar is supremely dope. No joke, I'm now ditching my Taylor for this thing. Taylors play UH-mazing, but they're just too damn chimey. Guilds have a fullness and balanced tone that just can't be messed with. And it's such a gorgeous instrument. Literally thought I was a Taylor guy forever until I played a Guild today at a locally owned music store for the first time. I am converted now. Guild all the way.
I've got a vintage F47-NT with mahogany sides and back. I LOVE the warm full sound. I need a travel guitar. I've been a Guild girl since the early 70's. Yum.
I've owned several Guilds in the past both American made and made in China. These Chinese made Guilds are excellent guitars for the money. After doing a bit of research, this video cinched it for me. Great demo by the way. I'm ordering a D-240e in the next few minutes!
OG... I was at a SamAsh and saw and strummed across one and then played it and saw how good it is for under $400 new with padded gig bag. I have had Taylors, Japan Takamine, and nice Alvarez and a Gibson J150 and at least 6-8 more over 25 years. The D240E is cheap, well made and has a neck/board that really makes it play well. Get a setup guy to get the strings 1/16" gap at fret 12 and the nut slots to pass the "3rd fret test" and it will feel FAST, easy, and very responsive to nail playing. The pickup is a good one.
Yes, I ordered mine online and already love the dang thing. Super light weight a corresponding loud, bright, cut thru midrange, playing all the way up the neck attributes. I will be doing my own setup on the nut and saddle in the next couple of weeks. I agree, great guitar for the money, no doubt one of the best dreadnaughts for the money, period! Thanks Doug!
Gorgeous playing - and such a great sound for a small guitar. Can't decide between OM and Jumbo Junior. My playpen style is really similar to this guy's. Any recommendations?
I was wondering wheather the guitar is a bit untuned or the tuning swings along the fretboard... regarding on the sound, it's very very nice. I'm thinking about upgrading my charvel-jackson acoustic, which sound great but has this same tuning issue. Yamaha guitars are flawless at this, but pricey :(
The older D-240's had a battery bag inside the sound hole. The newer ones have a battery compartment next to the jack, near the end pin (a much more convenient location). They take a 9V battery.
AN: What matters is HOW it is made. We used to laugh at Korea and later at Indonesia. The buyer company specifies what to use and how and checks the quality of build. The D240E is about like an Alvarez (bone nut and saddle, too) and very good tone with a solid spruce top.
If your going to promote a guitar, make sure it's in tune before recording. Badly out of tune while playing stairway to heaven. I own one of these guitars though and it plays like a dream.

Where is a battery bag in this model?
Guys from Thomann told me its inside the box🙄
Had one of these for several months. Smoothed the fret ends. Replaced the saddle pins with bone. Now it's as good as any $1000 guitar I've played.
WHAT IS THE SIZE OF THE PINS, WHERE CAN I BUY THEM? PLEASE
This man is awesome! The guitar sounds so rich and full....very great depth.

why are you playing two different guitars? (2:27) an OM model?
Where was Stevie Ray Vaughn, or Mike Einziger in the list of Guild players?
Its this a full size dreadnought? Bowl like back?
Nice playing
Best demo.
What is the difference between guild om 140 or om240 ?
"The Queen"

Does your recording studio have a tuner?

very good ¡¡ i love china ¡¡
Anyway this is the best 400$/400€ guitar I've ever tried. And I've tried A LOT of guitars...
I bought a NEW D240E under $400 at SamAsh locallywith padded gig bag and it easily beats the OM style
What is that mic?
whats song the third intro?
Where is the battery located for the pre-amp?
There is no battery because there is no tuner.
Inside the guitar, you have to loosen the strings.
@@bandicoot5412 Battery bag is inside? 🙄. How do you change battery without changing strings?
@@bandicoot5412 9v battery or 2x3v?

China, I believe. Higher-end Guilds are made in the US. The only way they can make it affordable is to build in China according to Guild specs.
Not Stairway to heaven lol.
the guitar is barely out of tune
tune the guitar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
