- For some reason Samsung decided to not put notifications on lockscreen by default. Well in today's video I'll show you how to get the notifications back on lockscreen.

I figured it out for those who cannot seem to make it work! In lock screen, you have two mini lock screen pictures which you can click. Click on the lockscreen one which is on the left (not the lockscreen widget one, which is on the right) and then click on the icons. You can change then from icon only to details.

For one ui 6 now this settings are under lock screen customization. Just press hold your lock screen and you will get the options for notifications settings. This is a very stupid decision by samsung to hide settings this way.

Figured it out. You just have to long press your screen (You would have to enter your password). Click icons. Choose details.

Something to consider, some companies send 2FA (Two Factor Authentication) text messages such that you can read the 2FA code in the abbreviated notification message. If you have lockscreen notifications ON and "Hide content" is OFF, a phone thief could access 2FA codes without needing to unlock your device.
theoretically is there a way for the messages to show but just who its from and not the content of its messages?

To do this on the Galaxy A15 5G, which I have, go to Settings>Lock Screen and scroll to the bottom. Tap Edit Lock Screen, it's blue text. Tap on the icon box, it's tiny I know, then select Details and then tap Done. One of the lock screen options is Tap and Hold to Edit but that doesn't seem to do anything.

The thing i miss about my Note 9 was the little light in the top left corner that turned on blue or white depending on the notification. So it could be silent and no vibrate, but even *idle* (on but phone screen dark/off) i knew I had a message or something.
My new 22 ultra doesn't have that or I can't figure out a similar setting. And yes, i understand they moved the status bar up so the camera is right in the middle of it. The note 9 had that "unused space" where they could put LED lights and stuff independent of the screen.
Same, it's nuts, feel like I have gone backwards with these 'new' operating systems.

I have the Samsung A53. I figured this out! Go to Settings, Lock Screen, then Always on Display - toggle this on and also click what setting you want ie "show for new notifications" this will allow the screen to wake when you get a new notification.

@@melissamiller5611 Thanks, but unfortunately does not work, at least not for my S21+ phone (I tried it before). This should work well for all apps, but only works for stock Samsung apps. I have contacted Samsung, they have even logged into my phone remotely, but found nothing worng. The lady told I should make a hard reset (I will not) or some future software updates will resolve my (our) issue. Until that I bought AodNotify pro, which works like a charm and gives LED notification too, which I needed anyway. So always on display I swirched permanently off and go with AodNotify .

do you have to swipe to open the notification app? i just got the s21 and never samsung before and it has me swiping everytime if i want to open the app after i double tap it. no other android phone or iphone does that and its an extra step thats annoying

I have a Blu view 3 and I have show all notifications on the lock screen on and I still don't get them. I don't get sounds or pop up on the screen or warning light and I have everything set to get all notifications.
What about non Samsung phones?
I'm using an Iqoo device. There's no option for that. It's all icons

I don't think it's currently possible to do on Samsung phones. I know some other phones have that option but I can't find anything for Samsung

This is so stupid (not you, the fact people have to do this) I dont buy phones often but since I got a new one, features have been removed and ADs are everywhere. This absolute garbage. Im looking for an off brand now.
