    Hi, in Poland they cost about 800-1000 dollars, but they are worth every dollar.Fabryka Broni FB Radom (Archer) is one of the most modern factories in Europe. The build quality is top notch. Unfortunately taxes and duty are terrible. I recently bought a Ruger MPR 556, guess how much it costs in Poland? around $1800.... This is crazy, I also have the Mossberg 940 Pro and many others. I love my toys, if my wife knew how much they cost, I'd have to sleep on the lawn

    I have a recently produced WBP Fox. Mine is from the lot that Atlantic Firearms released on Thanksgiving 2020. It is excellent. Finish, rivets, everything seems to be perfect. It was sighted in out of the box with the front sight post perfectly centered. Everything is very straight. I cannot find any flaws. The latest price for the WBP Fox has been $1350 for polymer versions and $1400 for laminate wood versions.

    Any stamped AK, no matter how great the manufacturer, will always have some rifles where every rivet will not be perfect. There will always have a couple rifles that may have a couple rivets that aren’t perfect. That’s the reality.That’s why if I was going to spend over 1500 dollars for a stamped AK, I would just spend 200 extra dollars and buy another Sam7. No reason why I would spend close to what I did for my milled Sam7 on a stamped AK. Now that being said, the fb beryl is absolutely beautiful and I honestly would love to have it in my collection. It would be hard to decide between the two but since I already have a Sam, I may go with the beryl, but…. Nah I would buy another Sam7 probably. But great looking rifle and I love the ambi sling attachments since I’m a lefty

      They use a nickel boron finish on the Foxes? That's disappointing. I'm not an AK guy (but trying to learn), in the AR world nickel boron is a gimmicky finish that is peddled to guys new to the sport. High end manufacturers don't use NiB (Chad Albrect has done a few posts on why nickel boron is a substandard coating).

    I’m honestly torn between the 7.62x39 Beryl versus the 5.56. On one hand it would be nice to have the Polish military 5.56 service rifle, and having a domestic caliber AK might prove advantageous down the line. On the other hand I would have to buy a whole new type of magazine and I don’t get the warm fuzzies until I have at least 30 mags (probably excessive but I don’t want to be wishing I had more when they aren’t available anymore). So that’d require significant investment in stocking up on a whole new type of mag. I have oodles of 7.62x39 mags, many of which are unissued Polish surplus. Decisions, decisions. Good vid.

    • @BNatoAk
      @BNatoAk 2 роки тому +2

      The wbp 30 round 556 mags were literally going for 13 bucks. They run perfectly in a Beryl. AC unity mags are not much more and also run successfully. The 556 (real deal) Beryl is a modern day collectable while the 7.62 ...not so much

    • @cajuncatfish5417
      @cajuncatfish5417 Рік тому

      @Strelok Stalker Almost two years later, I do have a 5.56 Beryl as well, and plenty of mags. My reasoning for wanting that many mags has nothing to do with combat fantasies and everything to do with the fact that from 1994-2004, you could not buy standard capacity magazines for these types of rifles. I like to shoot. Mags wear out, they break, they get lost, whatever. They are expendable. I just want to make sure I have enough to last a lifetime of range use in addition to the cool guy stuff. As far as I know, there are no factory OEM, vetted, reliable 10 round 5.56 Beryl mags. It's been proven with 9mm Glocks that the ban-compliant G17/G19 mags are not as reliable as the standard capacity ones. It has nothing to do with some fantasy war scenario, as I have no expectation or intention of getting involved in one.

    As Polish and gun lover - some infos. First - so called FB Radom (Fabryka Broni - Weapon Factory from city named - Radom) today has NOTHING COMMON with former FB (11) sign/ brand. This is a totally new business raised on ruined in late 90's former FB Radom - consuming its fame&history. This does not mean - its worse, but in some aspect of R&D may be. It is a part of corporate held by goverment. Just different approach in peace time. WBP is private hold gun factory with very modern machinery park, technology and staff. WBP uses in AK built most their own parts, only barrels are (they say) from FB Radom, but I am personally not sure, when I get my WBP 10 inch Lynx with no chrome - lined barrel - very good indeed, but surely not from FB, where they chrome - line all. I have also an AKMS built by one of best Polish weaponery master - based in 100% on former FB parts, I used also AKs from 60/ 70's. What can I say? There are no significent differences in all of them. When we take AK 47 and take all out of it in department od accuracy, reliability - they are all OK. But former FB Radom parts AKMS and WBP Lynx 7,62x39 ,10 inch barrel in all aspects of accuracy up to 300 m - they shine. My Lynx is scoring under 2 MOA with 2 MOA red dot only on plain Barnaul ammo on regular basis. AKMS a bit worse, due to barrel whip probably. So - in this time - I take WBP!

      FB does not seem to offer the Mini Beryl in X39, just 5.56 NATO.

    Have you heard about the Pallad grenade launchers available for AKs? They're Polish underbarrel single shot GLs, and fit on basically any AK with a bayonet lug, and are what the cuts in the Beryl handguard are for.
    I'm trying to get one for every one of my AKs. Funnily enough, I need to find a gas block with a bayonet lug on it to fit it on the current Beryl imports, but it'll fit on my KR-103 from the start.

    Glad we now have multiple polish AK imports coming into the country. I hope they'll eventually import the beryl in 22lr. The mini Beryl in 22lr was announced at SHOT 2020, while rifle versions have been exported to the UK. Given the current ammo situation, I think a 22lr version would sell well.

    • @misha5670
      @misha5670 3 роки тому

      A .22 LR version isn't happening. Why? FB asks nearly the same $$$ for one as they do for a .223 or 7.62x39. So the importer passed on them.

      @@misha5670 Makes sense. Not many people want to or have the $$$ to spend 1.3-1.5k on a 22, even during our current panic buying environment.

      @@misha5670 people selling pioneer rifles try to make a big deal out of the fact theyre made in Radom like theyre connected with the others, serious question though have you had any experience with theyre pps 43 builds? Id like to have one and there are a few for sale at a lgs near me and price isnt too bad but i was skeptical because well...you know..are they worth picking up? I mean picking up one for myself not to resell or anything..ive seen good reviews on them but am very skeptical of alot of other reviewers honestly and i respect what you and jay say probably more than any honestly.

      @@christopherlambert7814 I was the first dealer to get a batch of PPS43cs back when they were first imported thanks to a weird shipping event. So yeah, you could say i have some experience with them. Also was the first one to break one that night lol but it was just a too weak firing pin spring....so easy fix. They had only been testing them with military surplus ammo over there, so guess what happened when i put Winchester in one of mine?
