Enjoyed this one a lot, especially it being a longer video. Ledge skating is essential, getting topsides correctly is such a nuanced skill and feels amazing
Loved the video and the way you shared and explained it was conducive and easy to understand. As an old-school skater, I couldn't agree more with your tips. Skating after 40 here. Cheers
Man you make locking grinds look so easy. My big thing I am working on right now is trying to lock soul tricks so I can stay on the ledge FOREVER. Big thing for me is the commitment I need to get more on top of the ledge.
As someone who has been skating for a few month now, I really needed to hear this advice! Thank you very much! Oh, and I’m living carelessly and going through life that easy 😌 🙏.
Awesome content. 👍 I personally like to have a clear start and ending point no matter if it's a ledge or a rail. I am not a fan of grind things only for a few inches. ✌️
This was so refreshing, it's almost enough to get my lazy ass out of bed to go skating for the first time in months. 🤣 Thanks dude! You have the cleanest style!
Good to have you back and with a banger! Once again a great advert for the insta 360, really makes the solo shots look so good 🔥🔥🔥 I love ledge skating, but I've never skated a marble ledge yet - that is the dream!
Awesome content again of course! When I skate a ledge and practice a trick i will eyeball my lock on spot, usually a foot or so from the beginning. Then as I practice and get more comfortable I try to go for the whole ledge then I add on variations, spins in and out, switchups etc
Every time i see the white team sway it makes me think of you, USD should 100% rerelease these as the Witzemann pro model with the new soul plates and upgraded liners. This spot looks amazing and you absolutely killed it :D also awesome tips for the people just starting out 👍
Thanks for making this one man. I've been struggling with topsides because I never learned them when I was young. That tip on making sure to stand on your grinds and give yourself enough time to look down actually gave me to confidence to get sweat stances and top souls. Any tips on what you do or focus on to avoid wheel bite while riding flat? Keep up the good work!
Man, i was watching your video and was like "exactly!!" at every points you mentionned, like the waxing process for example, i know it's pretty basic but i have come to the same conclusion as you about the places you need to wax in order not to fall miserably, even tho my antis allows me to wax a shorter space than your flat setup force you to. About the starting and endeing point, of course it does matters a lot to me, i've already tried some long ledges with no ends and no beginning and it just does'nt feel the same, like "was this grind shorter than the previous one? Did i start at the same place?". About the fact that ledges are better for beginners i would not totally agreed on this point, personnally i've (almost) always been skating ledges with no copping on them, as we do not have anything else at my park, and it was very useful in order to get some confidence on my firsts tricks. But as a beginner, i was using some sway mounted with some type x frames so when i tried to learn tricks like torque or topsides, the ledges made it almost imossible to land them and a rail would have helped me a lot. So i think that ledges are really good for your very firsts tricks but at least a small rail can be a gamechanger for a beginner, especially when the beginner is still trying to figure out wich setup would be the best for him.
Love the longer video. Some critical feedback, maybe structure your video so that you showcase the skating your talking about while using the explanation for voice over. I love listening to you, personally, but from a channel growth perspective I think most people will get the best experience by watching visual examples. Especially newcomers. Just a thought. Love your work, friend. Can't wait to see what's next
Man, that was a lot of talking to get a few points across😅 but incredibly useful infos, especially to jump higher to approach grinds, what a gamechanger, i have to learn it this way, thanks!
So what do you consider "natural" for you. Is it more about what side of the ledge you are approaching from and the direction you have to spin ? For me my left foot is natural for soul, topside, backslide and oddly even torque. So a trick like a mistrial I am comfortable doing either way but something like a true misfit (topside a/o mistrial spun the hard way) I feel more comfortable spinning my natural direction (left) and using my torque foot (left) to get my weight centered on top and slow down my spin but technically my right foot a/o top is "switch"
man I envy your foot placement, I feel clumsy as fuck lol. still starting out but it's tough when your body won't let you skate as often as you'd like :P
Yeah I guess it could be a lot of things (including a 270 back farv even) but I've never seen someone do it the way Michael did and not call it a 270 BS Royale. He does make a good point with the ao unity / front sav comment but old heads like myself tend to base trick names a little bit differently since a savanna wasn't even a thing yet when I started

I think the skate dice need a shout out! That's such an inventive way to try and push yourself.

starting n ending point!!!! gives you that feeling of achievement and satisfaction - super important

Thanks for the tip on leaning inward on the sole, helps a lot.

Excellent job filming everything yourself. Nice casual conversational vibe while sharing your knowledge and experience. Thanks! 👍
Definitly #TeamStartingandEndingPoint
Great vlog as always ♥️
such a solid groove on your skates!! nice vid
This was so refreshing, it's almost enough to get my lazy ass out of bed to go skating for the first time in months. 🤣 Thanks dude! You have the cleanest style!
Solid tricks and nice video! 👌🔥 You make look top sides “too easy” but grinding tops in ledges are the true test for your knees.
Great tips and advice. It’s great to pass on what you’ve Learned so people like me can learn without the falls 🤙
Good to have you back and with a banger! Once again a great advert for the insta 360, really makes the solo shots look so good 🔥🔥🔥
I love ledge skating, but I've never skated a marble ledge yet - that is the dream!
25:56 when I struggle to do a trick, I usually start to jump higher and then quickly slam the feet to the ledge, it helps me idk xd
It’s cool that you did this. 👏
I love how skaters can talk about a ledge for a half hour.
Really helpful advice 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
That back backslide at the end was groooooovy
such a solid top mistrial. need to try and get these again
Awesome content again of course! When I skate a ledge and practice a trick i will eyeball my lock on spot, usually a foot or so from the beginning. Then as I practice and get more comfortable I try to go for the whole ledge then I add on variations, spins in and out, switchups etc
Solid tricks bro and great video!
Super smooth style. Rad video. Informative.
fantastic tips, and great tricks! could we get a back backslide to rewind 3 (or 270; spin to your left to fakie)?
This was on my recommended page. 💙

Lock your grinds properly/flex more/commit completely to the angles your skates need to be - no wheel bite.

great vid, great info, so candid..txs man you have helped me a lot.
I'm so stoked about this video. Lol.

Loved this video man, even the simple tricks you do look incredible. Motivates me to go work on my fundamentals. 😅
video was dope. you made the grinds seem effortless!
question, where'd you get those trick dice from?
Well done.
Yooooo agreed with all of this, this is the info no1 is sharing....good man rail one next
Crazy how an Austrian from 2022 could pass as an American skater from the 90's
Please give us an update as soon as the MW-Sways are out to buy
So smooth
You rock man.
Thanks👍

Another dope video my g! ❤️
Initially, I thought you said Indiana. I was like "Damn, what neighborhood are you in, fool?" 😁

Michael what brand are these pants?
Nice.
What size liner is that!
Marble ledges are pretty scary imo, if you miss it’s so easy to slip
Your unscripted video was solid tbh
what frames r you riding?
entente diridari
В каком городе снимаешь? Очень похоже на глубинку России. Гранит, парк и дома одна архитектура.
Thanks for showing me that I don't wax for shit.
Bro I watched this video mid sesh and tried it and busted up my shin and went home ripppp
Dude I live in Dayton, Ohio. We should link up.
I skate too lol. Those ledges are insane! I will drive 2 hours to skate those!
Wouldn't an AO royale be a farv?
only if ao unity was actually a front sav
I think that trick is an In-Spin Royale, Full-Cab Royale or 270 Truspin Royale. Also call a Topside Mistrial just a Misfit. 😁
@@climbtheskyspine5748 misfit is ao topmistrial
@@twgskate Oh shit. Hahah .. But a Top Pornstar is a Sunny Day. Guess that gave me a brain fart.
Yeah I guess it could be a lot of things (including a 270 back farv even) but I've never seen someone do it the way Michael did and not call it a 270 BS Royale.
