She may not of had that many solos but Tina was the QUEEN of quartets, she sang in so many high ranking ones here and sang amazingly in all of them.

I love the video, but I saw this comment on another video and i kind of agree with them, a trio/courtet is different then a group number with 4 people who have solos. Like Shake it out is a trio, because the three girls singing were blending in harmony and had even line distribution, but but things like “blurred lines”, is just a group number with 4 soloist. It’s hard to word, and I still love the editing, and ranking (as always), but what do you think about this?
Agree many of these are group songs or even duets with backing vocal. I find it hard to call Total eclipse of the heart a quartet when Puck has one line.
Yeah I kind of agree. I’m classing them if they have a solo line then they’re part of the song (apart from a few exceptions like solos such as live while we’re young, grease lightning etc (where another character has one line). I’m kind of going off if the actor provided vocals because most group numbers have other people (don’t know who) doing backing. Like somebody to love isn’t actually the cast just Kevin, amber, Cory and Lea providing vocals. But I get your point the lines are blurry in whether it’s a group or quartet
Yeah I agree. But it doesn’t feel right classing it as a duet or a trio. Basically I’m just messing about and having fun 😂😂

@@meltedcheese7798 No don't worry. I wasn't insulted. And tbh some of these songs could be classed as quintets because Mercedes speaks in Cell Block Tango. Also Kurt only speaks in What It feels like for a girl making it sort of a trio so people can class the songs however they want. It's all debatable. Also thank you. I know you've been supporting me for a while now and that means a lot 😊🥰

Fun times for everyone! It’s always so sweet that you spend oodles of time putting these videos together and then receive (I just saw one comment today, but I’ve seen many from the past) comments explaining how you “did things wrong” or “what were you thinking” - most especially since you put a disclaimer at the start of every video stating that these are merely your opinions and are being made for ppls enjoyment. I, at least, very much enjoyed it! As per your pinned question, I’d go w groups, but whatever works…
I did my comparative list thing but bc of the controversy re Blurred Lines, I’d just like to state that I simply enjoy the beat of the music & I mostly tune out the lyrics to the extent nec’ry to enjoy the song. Bc I REALLY REALLY like the music. I’m not a secret misogynistic, hated Trump (still do) w the passion of a thousand suns, & please don’t write and explain to me why I should dislike it. (Not you, personally. I mean other commenters.) I KNOW why I should dislike it.
So, drumbeat please… (There were so many more quartets than I realized, and a slew that I ABSOLUTELY ADORED. It wasn’t quite as easy as I would have thought to put this list together…)

@@bluejellybean2094 Pftttt. I knew the Whitney songs would end up on top (well, I knew How Will I Know would & I didn’t know what type of song you would say My Love is Your Love was). But, saying they’re both quartets put them on top. Which I guess was shocking to Total Eclipse of the Heart which always thought it would be ahead. But no. And, mind you, there’s a direct corolation bet. TEOTH & Run Joey Run, which I ADORED at the time Rachel CHORALSPLAINED it to the group. But it was truly impossible to not place the other songs ahead of Run Joey Run. God, Pure Imagination was so beautiful! I can see placing my top 11 (bc I must include BIOTA) in a dif order - ppl feel differently abt these things - but to me, it would be impossible to change the songs I chose. And that is why these lists are so subjective and totally just how each person feels. Thank you again for putting this list together!!
@@prosen8966 I know I loved how total eclipse and Run Joey Run have the same vocalists. Actually Run Joey Run was the first glee performance I ever saw when I was flicking channels which is why it holds a special place in my heart
@@bluejellybean2094 Apart from the song itself (which I’d never heard before in my life but I loved the tune) even tho Glee’s normal, standard way of presenting the audience w a performance almost always looking like a Broadway production (I exaggerate, but not by much) - however, RJR was EXACTLY what you’d expect a high school production to look like, with the lockers in the background, the strange graphics, the over the top theatrics, I could go on but I won’t. It was so very perfect and made me question why some of the other musical productions weren’t as well presented (in a different way) if the music directors were actually so woke and aware of what they were doing. Then again, season one WAS the best season re dialogue, plot line, song choice, basically everything. [And, mind you, my fav character was a part time player in that first year. Or let’s say second tier. But I stand by how well done the original episodes were written. ]

How Will I Know was incredibly low. Top 5 in my opinion but nice list.
Don’t Puck, Finn, Blaine and Mike also have two quartets? “Hot for teacher” and “the rain in Spain”
I already had Hot for teacher and the rain in Spain as puck solos in my male solos video. But they kind of do backup. As I'm making these videos I've realised my rules for what is a solo, duet, trio, quartet etc. is not very reliable 😂😂
I have a ridiculous love for Glee’s version of The Rain in Spain. That entire interlude- attempting to help Puck actually learn geography- was hysterical and Arties line at the end of the song is priceless!!

@@bluejellybean2094 Actually, I wish that instead of throwing Finn together w Rachel every time they sang, the producers had put a little more thought into what specifically was in Finns range, and what songs would be best for his voice. Bc while he wasn’t the best singer in the group, they could have used him in a better way if he had sung the songs perfect for him, and then (presumably Rachel) would sing the other songs with Artie or Puck. DEFINITELY W JESSIE.
This isn’t a criticism of Cory (RIP). With 20/20 hindsight, I wish they hadn’t forced Kurt to sing so many songs in soprano range and/or using falsetto. I think CC started out the show with a higher voice but that changed along with his body, etc in his late puberty years and he would have sounded better if the songs stayed lower as a result. Apparently the producers didn’t notice. Which was odd, to say the least.
@@prosen8966 Yeah I really like Finn's voice. It's not the strongest but I like the texture and tone in his voice. Also I like Kurt's voice better when he sings in like his middle range. Not too high but not too low. If that makes sense 😊

Right on my spreadsheet I've got 32 Quintets, 21 Sextets, 7 Septets, 15 Octets, 4 Nontets, 1 Undectet and 1 Tredectet and 8 group numbers with unknown amounts of soloists. Should I rank quintets? Then the rest as groups? Or rank all of these as groups? 😊💙
Definitely rank the quintets & sextets. There are enough of those to rank. The rest can be considered group numbers.
