I was 5 when this happened. My mom spotted a hook echo on the radar, and immedietly moved us into our basement. We were and still are in Will County and I remember this day very well. There was lots of hail where I was, and strong winds. This will be something I will never forget and I found very scary. I actually thought there was a second tornado closer to my house because how loud it was, but there really wasn't.
@@GalacticTommy yeah lol welcome to America. I live in USA, Colusa California and we get tornadoes 5 time a year, and hurricanes I’d say 7 times a year.
What text to speech voice do they use for these eas alerts? I desperately need it for a cgi animated storm chasing movie I’m working on and I’d hate to have to settle for the Tom or Paul voices.
EF4, although controversy over an EF5 rating, This was borderline 200 although at over 20 locations had winds at 200, one most likely could’ve been greater.
WELCOME TO AMERICA! I live in USA, Colusa California. And we get tornadoes 8 times a year and hurricanes 5 times a year and thunderstorms 10 times a year. Yeah I get the worst but I LOVE severe weather it gets exciting.
That's how the alert was encoded from the NWS so this is how it would have shown up on the TV ZCZC-WXR-TOR-017007-017037-017141-017201+0100-0992358-KCHI/NWS-____

Screen looks fantastic!
I Was in the PDS Tornado warning and my mind this is fine same as the 2013 PDS Tornado watch

@Scratch Music & Media they use Paul voice
This voice is the Balabolka Tom, the modern day is Neospeech Paul 16.

VoiceText Paul actually, and I don’t know about CRS, but this was an audio recording from KZZ57 in Rockford, IL.
I Always Loved The Radio Voice In This Video,
This Voice Sounds More Serious And Intense Compared To The New One That Is Used Today
Was this made by Vegas pro?
Man this one was terrifying I do believe had it hit Rochelle directly it would have gotten the EF-5 rating
Can't imagine if it would hit the railroad park or the yard
What was the scale of the tornado
Ef4 that hit Rochelle

Was it EF4 or EF5? EF5 wind speeds are 200+ mph
Officially NWS Rated was EF4.

Bruh hell naw, California does not get the worst bro. Y’all barely every get severe weather 😂

Rochelle.
Chicago is KLOT not KCHI I’m pretty sure
