You saved me!!!!! We thought we had to take the whole glove box out, thankfully just the handle broke and we can now just replace the lock mechanism. It was stuck closed for so long till we saw your video!!!

thanks for the idea! I used 18 guage ss wire and drilled a small hole in the plastic handle. Thankfully my lock disconnects easy from the switch which allowed me to manipulate the length and loop of the wire to keep taught. The wire is hidden and now works perfect.

Our latch buggered up... I had another one installed... It buggered up also .... Crappy design.
