      Oh DAve, so great to hear from you! You always say the kindest things! Yup Dick is the greatest and I'll let him know your his new boogie friend! Of all the players I've known, I think he has the best "feel,," for the idiom. His left hand is second to none. His left hand is so solid. We're going to shoot another one today, some folks have remarked that I should get an overhead of Dick's left hand patterns and dive into it a little deeper. It's a Boogie Woogie, World, Baby!

    Mr Pitassi nailed what you need to do. Practice your left hand for hours and hours. To me, there is no other way. Thanks for confirming this in your video.

      Hey Lou, I'm glad to hear you say it too. I think we just have to want it SO bad. I tell my students to get the left hand going and keep it going for several 12 bar choruses and then take the right and try to kinda "poke" it in there once in a while,, but keeping the left hand going at all costs. By poking it in there, I mean with a simple chord punch or even a random single note here and there.

    totally awesome! any way you can shoot a short video on Mr Pitassy's left hand patterns as they were difficult to see due to angle?

    • @flintlong2937
      @flintlong2937  10 місяців тому +1

      Dean - you're in luck! Dick and I are going to shoot an overhead video of these same patterns next Tuesday, just for YOU! Actually, it will probably help a lot of other folks too! So be on the look out for it. Okay? I'll try to get it up on UA-cam the evening of October 17.

    • @flintlong2937
      @flintlong2937  10 місяців тому

      Hey Dean, Well, we shot the video with you in mind, but it didn't turn out good enough to post on UA-cam, so I'll send it privately to you. Alls you gotta do is send me your email. And I'll send it along to you using an app called WeTransfer. You can email me privately at FlintLongPiano@gmail.com and leave me your email address. I'll not share it with anyone but I'll send you the overhead closeup instructional video of Mr. Pitassy's hands. You'll enjoy. I'm pretty sure it's exactly what you need. I'll wait to hear from you, Dean. Thanks.

But now they seem to want you to do a bunch of stuff to get a hyperlink up there. I don't get it. Still working on it. Thanks for prodding me and helping me make it better for my audience! Thanks!
