Swapnil Tambe is doing his best to solve but sadly NPP is an obstacle. However there are teachers who doesn't deserve to be teachers based on their inability and irresponsibility to fulfill their duties. There are teachers under deficit pattern who did not fulfill the norms of a teachers. And there are schools who have 5 students with 2 teachers. So many factors are contributing to the downfall of education in Meghalaya.

Meghalaya had not considered Education as a vehicle of transformation,it had never put education to the top priority, Lack of foundation in lower primary classes 2teachers teaching for 7classes😂😂😂😂 once foundation course is not upto a standard level, so number of drop outs rises, only private schools could afford one teacher in one class.
one of my relative who got permanent job in teaching in govt school he go once a week or sometimes sent his substitute teacher n pay him 10k .. govt should do something about it .. thats why parents dont trust in govt school in education ...
in MDA NPP leading Govt, we witness that if you ask for fish the MDA gave a snake, if you ask for bread the govt gave you a stone, or if you ask for water the MDA govt gave with an urine, also if the people ask for security n protection the govt send with the outsiders Gunda, etc etc.. this is the type of NPP govt that Meghalaya have

Considering the current state of the teachers, we find that the Government imposed so much unnecessary works to the teachers to the point that the teachers don't only teach but have to supervise many other works which take their time away from being able to give proper attention to the students. If we find that the current status of education in our state is going down we should not blame the teachers but the Government which imposed unnecessary burdens on them. Shillong had been the educational hub of the North Eastern region of the country for a long time however recently our rank is at the bottom of the list. Therefore there is an urgent need to overhaul it especially the policy framers.
So many extra activities the teachers have to do , conduct a class on health and mental abilities direct by sambandh atleast twice a weeks ,udise training and updating,,dewarming training , attend training conduct by sambandh.etc with limited teachers n number of activities.in meghalaya its like besides extra activities we have subjects .
This director instead of giving a solution, he started blaming the institutions...if he needs rationalisation do it...dont just do comparison which ends nowhere
When students are not putting any effort anymore and social media has took over. Instead of textbooks they read just mcqs and notes and instead of pen and book they bring ipad. Why blame teachers? Blame students and DONT BLAME GOVERNMENT FOR EVERYTHING.

Infact the Adviser to the Education Deptt. Should have stepped in in place of Director as he himself is more vocal in defending the failure of the NPP led MDA Government.
First of all, Govt fails to pay salary teachers on time. If regularised employees get a salary every 1st of the month then why do teachers wait for more than 3 months sometimes.
Salary for teachers in Meghalaya not sometimes always. And till date once in three months every year. That is quarterly.Shame for MDA 2.Its really really pity for teachers Govt consider them like unhuman.
I think to be a teacher, we need a very best quality, a talented, because to be a teacher is an art, Dr Badskhem I think he is 100%that 😢meghalaya their no other jobs so if they don't want to be a teacher also they have to be. Even if they no talent, qualified also
The root cause is the complications made by the Congress govt who came up with various categories of school teachers and prioritising other schools instead of focusing on its own Govt schools..
And the top cause is the MDA lead NPP govt which created more and more categories of educational institutions like PEOPLES COLLEGE.more and more pollitical mistake has been done .
Please keep away Teachers from clerical works like UDISE, TIMS, SHALLA SIDDHI, GOVERNMENT DUTIES (ELECTION), SURVEYS etc. Don't make the Teachers clerks....implement NPS (so that teachers can live and die with dignity after retirement)

Although a point of suggestion for the team if they can leave some gaps in between the panelists, it looks a little cramped and uncomfortable for them to express themselves freely without literally being at each other's faces. The introductory part of the session implies that the govt. over the years did not have any integrated vision or a road map focussing on education in this state. The frustrations expressed by the teachers are symptoms and manifestations of a much deeper malaise. The current dispensation has panned down on the problem of budget which appears to be spent mostly to meet the salary challenges. The state has to develop a holistic policy where the state must add to the central assistance financially. With the centre moving towards a reduction in the budget allocation and expecting the states to generate funds expresses that the previous govts have not been proactive and now we r looking at a growing problem. Today the world is seeing unprecedented transformation and like the govt representative rightly enunciates that they have to move towards rationalization. It is understandable that most of the teaching fraternity are disappointed and overburdened...
Listen to IAS officer he is pratical and a realist,the ground reality is much worse ,just like he said it easy to play the blame game instead of finding solutions,the main problem is finance, the IAS officer had mentioned that he has given his own salary to repair a certain school in GARo hills, of all the personalities in the panel who is willing to give i doubt it except him

For govt college and people's college the norm is just master degree with 50% marks... whereas for deficit college the norm is master degree with NET/PhD....for school they need b.ed n m.ed...how would the desel n dhte clarify?

Every father of the family looks after his family. Education minister as a father of the family must look after his own people. It is his duty to look after it. If he neglects his duty, he is not worthy to be a minister. If he looks after insufficient salaries to hike conditionally, Teachers would not go out to demand the salaries hike on the street. If he neglects his duty, he is not worthy to be a minister. If he looks after insufficient salaries to hike conditionally, Teachers would not go out to demand the salaries hike on the street.
