Hmm, I believe the dark secret would be more recognizable then the reason explained in this video. Just like the other things in the movie has very recognizable events. I believe big secret felt ashamed and belittled because Joy didn't seem to take it serious enough in big secret's eyes. By coming up with another example, Joy seemed to (accidentally) tell big secret "Hey, that's it? That's no big deal, there are plenty of worse things to be afraid of telling!" Which in turn takes away the strenght it took for Dark Secret to come out, which will make it never come out again (unless with a lot of therapy maybe) Imo a better response of Joy would have been to praise Dark Secret for trusting her enough to open up to her, and encourage it to slowly bloom open at its own pase. What do other people think of my ideas on Dark Secret?

Beacuse she's a tomboy. Meaning she's not gay but have both emotions so sometimes I think she imagined her emotions as male or female which is why Joy sadness and disgust plus anxiety are all females as anger fear and emberrasment plus that new guy are males. It was weird, but sometimes I think my emotions are male and female like I assume everything is a guy at first like cars. For example, I think it's a guy or dudes. As a Catholic, I assume my guardian angel is a guy too. I know angels don't have genders and don't have human forms like us, but I do that. I know this because I'm a tomboy myself, but I am straight. I only find men attractive.
The dark figure might be Shame.
I mean. That would validate the complicated theory in a way if you think about it as well
