KNOWN ISSUE: On some systems, the receiver will not be picked up whatsoever. This issue is out of RB4InstrumentMapper's control, and I unfortunately don't have any clue on what the cause is. If the auto-detect process doesn't pick up anything, you're most likely afflicted by this issue.

I have been down so many forum rabbit holes, learned more about HID Compliant drivers than I ever wanted to, bought multiple wireless adapters, done powershell and cmd scripts, and got to the point of giving up. I finally got the itch to mess with it again and after another hour of beating my head against a binary wall, I found your video, followed it, and holy shit it worked. Thank you so much for this!

So I have a device that's listed like that, and everything works, but when I go to open clone hero my guitar doesn't register in the game as being mappable, or come up at all for that matter, did anything like that happen to you? I'm so close to playing its literally driving my insane, please help

I was struggling getting this to work last night but I finally tried just the version of RB4 Mapper used in this video, 4.0.3, instead of the newest version and I used version 1.21.442 of Vigembus, and it finally just worked. The newest version of RB4 mapper was not creating the guitar profile after recognizing my controller. That version did it immediately. I'm using the Xbox RB4 wireless guitar with the official xbox adapter. Hope this helps someone since I was beating my head against a wall trying it last night!

I have a rock band 4 guitar. the app works but the third and fourth buttons are in the wrong order. if I press the (yellow) 3rd button the pc thinks it's the 4rd (blue) and the same the other way around. thanks if you can help me fix it.
it wont let me select enable or auto detect on the instrument mapper, pls help
Can you use a tplink bluetooth dongle for the Xbox one guitar, or do you need the Xbox branded bluetooth dongle?

For some reason, the Pcap section won't recognize my guitar even after reconnecting it in the settings. I'm using the same guitar as the video.

I've tried everything and it still doesn't work. my computer recognizes the guitar but anytime I try to use it I get nothing. doesn't work with remapping either. If I click a button on the guitar it doesn't register anything and just closes the window.

I just got the PDP riffmaster and it does not have a pcap device detected. It came with a wireless adapter that looks like the xbox one version but this program doesn't seem to recognize it. Is there a way to get the PDP riffmaster to work?

i had the v4.0.4 version and it (mostly) worked only 1 time (the strum was glitchy). after i closed the program and it didn't work at all afterwords... i updated to the latest 4.2 version and it still doesn't register at all (it notices when it says configure usb device but doesn't register button presses).......

Does anybody else have a problem with the whammy on the Riffmaster? It is somewhat picked up a tiny bit, and makes long notes sound whammed without the whammy being used.

Maybe try running the program as an admin. Also make sure it's not a 360 receiver and it is an Xbox one adapter.
Running as an Admin worked for me.
How do you run it as an admin
I did everything in the video My red button takes me back to the control set up and my whammy bar and tilt makes my mouse move around I always have to reset my PC to fix it
EDIT: so the guitar works, but not in clone hero if that makes any sense, it can move the cursor and make clicks with the buttons, but doesn't read at all when I go into clone hero, does it have anything to do with the adapter I bought? (It's 3rd party but still works) any information helps, thank you!
I've had the device off and connected I've had it on and connected, it reads and everything but when I open up clone hero it doesn't even let me assign a guitar to begin with, but it reads the guitar in rb4 instrument mapper so I don't know what the issue could be, please help I have 2 guitars and want to get them both working thank you
I was having issues as well uninstalled the newest rb4 button mapper and used the release version he uses in this video and it works

What`s the name of the adapter in the mapper? I have the xbox wireless adapter but I do not see it on the list
Make sure it's the Xbox one adapter not 360 adapter. It should auto detect, it's a different name for everyone.

@@FknArthur Only other suggestion would be making sure it's not in a USB 3.0 slot. Maybe that would affect it, but I'm unsure.

Try running the program as admin.

Yes. The dongle is what allows your pc to connect to the guitar.

Stopped capture. Getting this error, had it working for a bit and now the next day my RB4 mapper wont start the capture.
I somehow had an old rb4 mapper version idk how but I reinstalled and it's setup like yours now and working!

Alright well I still use all the things in the old tutorial and it still works, was just asking for a friend since he's trying to get this set up on his PC
