You might want to have a look at the ISDT NP2 charger which has an RGB display. Is shows you interesting informations like the charging current for example. I'm still waiting for the delivery of my copy.

If you charge the A7III internally using a USB-C PD (Power Delivery) charger then it should be faster because Power Delivery supports higher voltages/amps than a standard USB 5V/2A charger which is only 10W. I'm not sure which wattage the camera supports but Power Delivery automatically negotiates the best voltage/amps so it should charge faster using a PD charger.

I've been using a "Powerextra" branded charger that I got off amazon. It's about the same quality as the power200 in this video. It get the jobs done but it's certainly not fast.

Got the Cube 2 - by far the fastest and most compact 2x battery charging unit, great for travel ! - very happy compared to watson... Also re: charge % - usually pretty close to 100% but give it 5mins or so after 100 to be safe. ( Also the grey Nikon version can take the Sony plates - looks much better! )

That Watson looks like the Blumax version here in Germany, I think charging time was similar as well, I don't understand why they change the names of the products when selling them in other countries

I have that one too, sold under yet another name! The best thing about it is that you can buy different plates for it, great if you travel with a B-camera of a different brand/type, and the USB outlet is handy too if there's only one outlet.

Nice. But, could you test how long it takes to discharge after a full charge. The reason I bring this up is I noticed with the older battery type, the faster the charger, the faster the batteries drain. So, I now charge them with USB powered chargers as opposed the power socket chargers.

I have the Cube2. It gives false readings. Annoying.

"Sony charger is a rip off at $88,- it rather should be $40... Excuse me, but for a $2200 camera, I expect the charger to be included. Yes, cool feature that one can use the camera while plugged in and charging, but no serious, self respecting professional photographer will shoot a day with only one battery, charging in at night. Sure, I'll get a spare battery, but for the amount of money for the camera, AND for the amount of money for a charger, one should get the spare battery with the charger. Either put the charger with the cam, or but a battery with the charger for that crazy amount of money... Just my two cents and frustration, lol. Thanks for the video, nformative!

did anybody test wassabi charger ? how long did it take to charge a battery?

Thanks for the review Dave! I would be interested to know if the faster charging solutions decreased battery longevity as in the number of cycles or power retained (capacity) over a period of time versus the slower charging ones.

That's a good question, I am not sure how I could accurately test that question however.

With these Z batteries costing so much, don't you want to use the Sony chargers? I have the DSTE dual chargers but have never tried charging Sony batteries on them as Im afraid of damaging the batteries using a third party charger.

The last one is like a chinese generic. I have a couple of them for other type of batteries and they really suck. They get the job done, anyway, and are really cheap, but... I think they're just decent when not used with USB, just regular cable or plug.

What the hell, these expensive Sony camera's don't even come with a charger in the box!?? Did they do the "how to shove dongles and micro-transactions down peoples throats" course?
