It's so interesting how each instrument effects your body! I play trombone and the middle finger on my left hand is bent from holding it. I've played for 10 or so years now and my right arm is longer than my left arm!!
HI.i've played Sax 40+ years.My left thumb gets numb several times a year.Sometimes for hours,other times a day or two.My left wrist occasionally is sore or stiff, not bad enough for pain or concern however.
I got callouses on my fingertips from hitting the keys too hard and sliding my fingers on keys. Working with a classical teacher to get rid of them! They sometimes peel off and then my fingers get really tender and it can hurt to play.
@@MAlexRamirez Don't worry! It's nothing serious, just want to nip this in the bud before I really have an injury. Although next weekend's run of rehearsals, recitals, and recordings might be rough ha.

Oohh yes thats definitely an effect! so interesting and cool that we all share the similar experiences with our horns!

Notice how his left shoulder is higher than his right - I developed the same characteristic.

Ok as a 33 year old pro sax player I feel like I need to make a video about the adverse effects to warn you 😅 it gets worse.
