Four pillars. Cody's gone to WWE and the other three twats are making it so everyone else wants to go to WWE too. AEW had a perfect chance for two and a half years, with Vince at peak senility and people giving up on the E ever being good again. Imagine where they'd be if Tony had balls and the K-Mari kliq wanted to do more than lord over a fiefdom of indie darlings.
Adam Cole shouldn’t come back to AEW. Any chance of “Undisputed Elite” fizzled out so part of the reason I lost some interest in AEW. I bet some fans hoping for an active UE reunion. Hopefully Triple H pays big for Adam Cole to come back to WWE.
I used to really like him, but seeing that match where he happily sold a bear hug from Pockets just made me sour on him. And he obviously doesn’t care enough about his job to even do some push-ups.
I wish they'd just use Occam's razor and have an MJF v Danielson feud off this Regal stuff. Even the thought of Danielson as an 89 era Sting makes sense and sounds alright to me. Danielson probably has a busy schedule of putting over midcarders though....
So here is what’s gonna happen….(my 4 yr old grandson booked this)….the (d)Elite v. Death Triangle is best of 7 to give UE members time to heal. The DElite will win trios titles then get attacked by The Undisputed Era (Cole, ORielley, and Rod Strong). Then we will be forced to suffer thru more asinine trampoline rasslin
TGBL Nailed it about not wrestling every week but talking every week. That’s basically Piper and his color commentating days in Georgia and Flair when he came through territories.
MJF needs to develop “Go Away Heat” or “we just tired of your schtick”. Remember NWO were cheered for a while before Sting and Goldberg overshadowed NWO popularity. They just need gotta endure the cheers for a bit until AEW develops viable babyfaces that fans want to see take the title off MJF. At this moment he’s the cool heel everyone loves cause he’s not only cool but “deserves it”. Let him become stale to the point were the fans turn on him even though he’s a heel anyways 🤷♂️. Sounds weird but we live in that era where smart fans will cheer who they want cause they do “such a great job”.
Just based on the variety of different people who have closed shows, it seems like AEW has plenty of babyfaces. Many of whom could be main eventers. But for some reason, AEW doesn't seem to want one popular star to feel more special than another, so nobody really reaches the next level. It's Moxley and that's it. Everyone all even keel.
i think a rivalry with eddie kingston could potentially push the two men career, the best thing is that they don't even need a reason because they are two polar opposites and surely don't like each other
1--- MJF should hold the title for a while. It's been too much of a ping pong ball lately, 2--- The problem with getting a big babyface is that 2022 wrestling fans are natural contrarians and don't want to believe they're responding to what they've been told to do. When a big star emerges, let them emerge and don't try to push the idea too hard that they're a saviour or anything. 3--- I agree with Jim re: ROH titles. Too many belts on the show. If you have a new or on-the-fence viewer, I think they feel less and less excited about each title match when they realize every second wrestler has a belt of some sort...
Even tho I can't stand the Baron Corbin, it seems like alotta people hate him so mite as well as put the title on someone like him so a large portion of the arena boos them...
There's also the really light schedule. At most you'll only have to do like 6 matches a month, probably not even that many if you're an upper card guy.
@@Cruising_On_Lake_Havasoma Yep. Was "The Kindom" more than 2x times on TV since they started there? One or two promos and one match (Matt Taven vs Wardlow).

There are times when a wrestler can transcend the idea of babyface or heel. Depending on who you ask, "The Bloodline" can be one, the other or both. But most importantly, people are invested what they do, because that can affect everyone else on the roster.
Love how the IWC or better yet the AEW folks, constantly bring up MJF as the best heel, knowing the greater masses say Roman. And a heel that people cheer, the crowd literally chanted "Roman" at WarGames.
Same guys acted like Roman would never get over and Vince was wasting his time with him. Now they complain that his pops are too loud for a heel. But I thought he could never get over why are his pops too loud?
Ppl really think this MJF guy is all that.. literally started off the show talking bout Flair, probably the greatest heel ever.. like, can we pump the breaks?? he’s not even HHH, corporate Rock, Hollywood Hogan, or current Roman Reigns. Bruh got a long way to go.. is he even Lé Champion? I found that more entertaining than this guy.. a little bit of the bubbly was more mainstream than that Burberry scarf
The Bloodline are the best thing in Wrestling Now in my opinion Sami Zayn is the MVP of the group I'm feeling ucey I miss Bryan Danielson as a heel TBH
I've been a fan of very few baby faces since I started watching in the mid-80s. The first heel I remember seeing getting cheered by far more people than were booing him was Sid Vicious. Even though he was my favorite wrestler I remember the first time he got VERY loudly cheered I was shocked because this was before the Steve Austin anti-hero gimmick. I thought I had missed something and they turned him baby face. I was pissed. But no, he was still a heel, but getting cheered for some reason.
Wrestling is brutal to watch. All the stories and characters, the culture, art everything is completely watered down and garbage. Letting the ROCK, vince McMahon, tony khan run the wrestling industry makes it terrible. How many times are we gonna watch the same things over and over ? Too many politics and too much bs unrealistic matches and stories. We the ppl need to make our own industry and set the tone.
I know it’s early and he might need a mouthpiece but I think there could be something there with Takeshita. Guy is over like the moon, complete white meat baby face, and most importantly doesn’t have the stank of Tony’s adderall booking on him yet.
I agree, he is an absolut young talent that can be the top guy of any place. Unfortunately I really doubt if AEW or WWE want a "random japanese" to be the face of their company.
I didn’t say put the strap on him. But put him on TV being screwed and victimized by MJF and the crowd will get behind him more than they already are. Dudes so charismatic and loved. More importantly that’s a feud where MJF gets treated like a true heel. Not a cool one. Even with Konosuke not coming put victorious I think it would be win-win for both of them.
MJF is a transitional champion until Omega or Page is ready for a real second run. Tony Khan only put the belt on him to appease us fans mad about the Punk stuff but that isnt the type of guy he got into the business to push. He likes his Omegas and The Bucks and Moxley and Page. Mark my words, they will get that belt off MJF and he’ll be buried before 2024(IF thats still his release time). Being able to talk means nothing to Tony, its all about who his life size action figures are.
If I were Tony I'd just cut my losses with the EVPs, bring Punk back and see if I could get Corny to take a backstage job, he'd definitely make the product much better than the garbage we've been getting recently
I knew this would happen. I knew MJF being World Champion would force MJF to be liked, even if he DDTs Britt Baker to get heat. MJF, like Steve Austin in 2001, will be forced to be Babyface because fans don't want to hate MJF.
The only heat building story would be along the lines of mjf going full blown good guy technical wrestler who was besties with the boss and complimented his opponent after matches. No bad words and just a true gentleman, along the lines of cactus Jack in ecw. Just doing the exact opposite of his character now. 🤷🏿♂️
Get Miro back in there now. Have him start smashing people through the MJF Danielson feud. Then that could be a solid match to build. Not huge but better than most options. If they hadn't cooled Darby and Kingston off those would be good feuds. There could be half a year of programming at least
Everything aside, FTR being draped in gold needs to go away in AEW. Match next week yeah but honestly, they need to just have the belts they own within said promotion. Carrying them around has probably hurt them in AEW at this point bc it invites the question that has played out: Why do they need the AEW belts as current triple champs? Keep them as the champs when they appear and keep those belts visibly off while in AEW. I think that is where tony is at as he can't justify them having all the belts bc them already having damn near all the belts.
I'm glad Corny broke it down in regards to World Title defenses. There are a lot of current "fans" that keep crying about Roman not defending his title on every ppv or even every week.
Well for roman sakev, it would be nice to see him in a tag team(or a non title defense on tv once between ple) or something more than a promo EVERY week on tv. He dont even show up for weeks at a time. I mean just a quick match to briefly give the tv audience something to see

Guevarra's time sure as hell has past. I don't see him being in the main spotlight again
Maybe I'm in the minority but I just don't want to see Adam Cole come back.
Boom.
I'd love him and Kyle return with Regal as a GM of RAW/SD. No Fish but Roddy still there, it's fine!
What if he hit the gym finally??
I wish they'd just use Occam's razor and have an MJF v Danielson feud off this Regal stuff.
Even the thought of Danielson as an 89 era Sting makes sense and sounds alright to me.
Danielson probably has a busy schedule of putting over midcarders though....

I've never had the experience of viewing Styles Bitchley, but Travis' drawing of an AEW mark looks exactly like what I imagine he looks like.
Some people just like the bad guy even as a kid I loved Flair and the horsemen I always rooted for the heel they came across more authentic to me
Travis is very online and I'm here for it.
Travis is a "copy & paste" bootleg artist. I actually know how to draw.
Yup
Great Artwork again Travis!
3:23 Duran Duran reference 😂
Corny also did "Riho" which is a parody of Rio.
TGBL Nailed it about not wrestling every week but talking every week. That’s basically Piper and his color commentating days in Georgia and Flair when he came through territories.
Sammy stuck in the doghouse seems like the perfect metaphor
Travis killed me with this thumbnail. This is why I relisten on YT after the pod to bits I like.
Eddie Kingston could have been an opponent for MJF, but they would need to build him up A LOT to get to that point.
fans cheer who they like regardless if they're heel or not.
Fans cheer regardless if the match is stupid or plain corny
⭐ 80s #WWF Reactions ⭐ ua-cam.com/video/ARluay2aIU8/v-deo.html
I always thought the WWF missed an opportunity during the Hogan era to either put the belt on DiBiase or Orndorff or even Rick Rude.
I often wonder if wrestlers look out in the crowd and see us fans as a bunch of Comic Book Guys.
The guy in the thumbnail looks exactly like every AEW fan 😂
Looks like the front row on dynamite
i think a rivalry with eddie kingston could potentially push the two men career, the best thing is that they don't even need a reason because they are two polar opposites and surely don't like each other
1--- MJF should hold the title for a while. It's been too much of a ping pong ball lately,
2--- The problem with getting a big babyface is that 2022 wrestling fans are natural contrarians and don't want to believe they're responding to what they've been told to do.
The only actual heel in heat wise is Dominic now fans actual hates him every other heel like MJF getting cheered and that what heel don't want
Cause Dom has Go Away Heat while MJF has “we don’t want to boo cause we love your work” cheers
Even tho I can't stand the Baron Corbin, it seems like alotta people hate him so mite as well as put the title on someone like him so a large portion of the arena boos them...
At this point, why would any wrestler want to work for AEW besides a paycheque ?
There's also the really light schedule. At most you'll only have to do like 6 matches a month, probably not even that many if you're an upper card guy.
@@Cruising_On_Lake_Havasoma free money just to do some flips and cardio twice a month for some UA-cam videos. Wouldn’t even have to show up for TV
@@Cruising_On_Lake_Havasoma Yep. Was "The Kindom" more than 2x times on TV since they started there? One or two promos and one match (Matt Taven vs Wardlow).
Some of them also like the freedom of making appearances on other promotions, something that WWE denies with very rare exceptions.
@@socialistbatman1211 Fuck it, I'd show up, TK pays for travel expenses too.
Why Miro hasn’t had a legitimate program with the champion is beyond me 🤷♂️
Omega vrs MJF would be amazing if omega could handle a MJF promo without hurting his little feelings
Even fans in 1988 liked heels. Heels always have people that hate them, but all of them have their fans.
is important to note that flair didnt just fight faces, even in the mid 80s. he fought faces and heels. faces they boo flair, heels they sort of split but usually it was flair getting the cheers.
Now I have "is there something I should know" stuck in my head 🤣🤣
Loved AEW pretty much from the beginning.. but man.. TK needs some serious help with not only creative.. but management.
There are times when a wrestler can transcend the idea of babyface or heel. Depending on who you ask, "The Bloodline" can be one, the other or both.
But most importantly, people are invested what they do, because that can affect everyone else on the roster.
All the A.e.w neckbeards are merging into a single creature.

If Cody was still there. He would be perfect!! I can see MJF cutting down Brandy in a promo. As well as talking about Cody not being as good as Dusty.
I bet if Nick bockwinkle was still around he could be a great mentor for mjf!
Danielson is the only way to go, your draw, I've said this before, not seen Miro for a while, he would have a great match with Darby like before
that thumbnail is an absolute correct characterization of MJF's fanbase
Travis artwork that is always guaranteed to make me laugh: the Bucky Beaver Kevin Dunn and the AEW Incel.
hey travis how did you know what i look like?!!?!
The perfect example of the AEW cult is in the thumbnail.

What works for me in that situation is you can put MJF with anyone just so he can keep the title until eventually someone becomes a threat .
I love the pinpoint accuracy of the AEW neckbeards here. Great art as always….
Omg that thumbnail lmfao
Lol everyone's saying that the picture of the AEW fans is spot on. Whenever i see a Cornette fan on Twitter that is literally what they look like.
Off to shave....my neckbeard! 🪒
was Steamboat during that time Jim was mentioning?
Can anyone else smell this Travis artwork? 🤣🙊
Rick Rude called the audience fat, out of shape, sweat-hogs. But you couldn’t help cheering for him.
First thing I thought of was Cornette having Steen.
The quality of the AEW product would skyrocket if someone got Jericho out of Tony’s ear
Travis really captured the workrate troglodytes well here.
All the artwork needs is the fans holding their little replica AEW and WWE belts lol

He has to change his gear first.
No just no I've seen his stuff it's not interesting at all he can't talk and his in ring work is just ok.
You want to kill the ratings even more? Lol
Tony should do himself a favor and try to get Nick Aldis. He’s probably the biggest name out there to bring in for MJF.
A portion of the fans? he's getting more cheered than any babyface on the roster
A portion is anything less than 100%. What's your point?
@Larry Johnson "a portion" downplays the problem. AEW has no really beloved babyfaces, and this is the result.
