People I think we have a Rose bush🌹!!!!!

Well it looks like we have a rose bush growing in the yard. Not the $50 rose bush I bought last year but a rose from a stem I got from one of many rose bushes from last year or maybe the year before that. The base of the bush is well established and very brown…I like that. You can see that it has thorns. The thorns look like rose stem thorns with the shark-like fins. I’m 95% sure it’s a rose, I won’t know what color for another week or so. I’m hoping for pink but I’ll be happy with red.
Do you think it’s a rose?
