Just planted my first seeds from my very first seed pod. Hoping I don’t mess things up. Thanks for the videos

I'm a new mom to a desert rose plant. I bought mine in December 2023, and it had a few flower buds that didn't open yet. A month or so after, her beauty started showing when the flowers opened, and she's still flowering and has grown a bit now in June 2024. She's still in the same soil that I bought her in, consisting of sand, bark, and compost (she seems happy) and in full sun, I fertilize once a month, and water when she is almost dry. Her roots are coming out the bottom of the pot. We are going into the winter season, so I'll just rearrange her in her pot and give it a light prune once spring / summer starts. I do hope I don't damage her, hence collecting as much information as I can 😊

One of my Desert Roses has a seed pod. I am waiting for the seed pod to mature. How long does that usually take?

Heyyyyyy Carl. Love your lil babies and watching your process. Question? I’m a new Desert Rose Gardner and I germinated my seeds from my own plant. I’m afraid of overwatering them, which I’ve done a few times. I want them to grow. I’m in Florida also. Any suggestions?

These guys are easy to sprout but really hard to mature in my experience. I am going through experiments right now but what is working for my last batch was fertilizing early.
When I get more data I will post.

@@CarlDoesStuff Mine are 2.5 months old. I started with 28 and have only lost a few, but still trying to get them fat. I am using NPK 19 19 19 every two weeks and bone meal once a month starting two weeks ago after I repotted them. We shall see. SN: Im also a huge fan of Maria’s Garden 🤓

Hi there. At 1:47 in your video I see 2 desert roses that appears to be pruned down to the caudex. I too did the same thing about a year ago and have had no new growth. I anticipated many new branches but sadly I’m left with just the stump. It’s in good health and I still find it attractive, can you tell me if yours ended up putting out new growth? I don’t know what to do with mine now. Thanks!
